上为末，炼蜜丸，如芡实大。隔宿酒浸，露一宿，次日澄去酒，薄荷汤浸服之。
钱氏橘连丸 治疳瘦，久服消食、和气、长肌肉。
橘皮（一两） 黄连（米泔浸一宿，一两半）
上为细末，另研入麝香五分，用猪胆七个，分药入胆内，浆水煮，候临熟，以
针微刺破，以熟为度，煮粟米粥和丸，如绿豆大。每服十丸至二三十丸，米饮下，
量儿加减，无时。（海藏云∶黄连苦燥，可以泻脾火，长肌肉。）
二圣丸 治小儿脏腑或好或泻，久不愈，羸瘦，宜常服。
黄连（去须） 黄柏（去粗皮。各一两）
上为细末，入猪胆内重汤煮熟，丸如绿豆大。每服二三十丸，米饮下，量儿加减，频服无妨。

香蟾丹 治肌瘦面黄，胸高脚细。
干蟾（五枚，水浸，去骨，用瓦藏瓶一枚，顶头上取开，入蟾瓶内，盐泥固济，木炭火烧，留一窍子，以烟息为度，
取出，地上放一宿出火毒） 胡黄连（二两） 蛇蜕皮（一两，烧灰） 地龙（半两，微炒） 天竺黄 蝉壳
（各一分。以上并为细末，次入） 朱砂（半两，细研） 麝香（一分，细研）
上件，都一处研匀，糯米饭和如黍米大。每服十粒，米饮下，不拘时候，量儿大小加减。
《万全方》雷丸丹 治小儿一切疳，肚胀腹满，手脚枯细，眼目口鼻生疮，身体壮
热，痢下泔淀，日渐羸瘦，面无光泽。

上件药捣，罗为末，研合令匀，用 猪胆四个取汁，倾入瓷盏中，外以重汤煮
过，和杵为丸如黍米大。每服五丸至七丸，麦门冬熟水下，早晨日午空心临卧服。
〔孔氏〕神圣丸 肥、小儿疳药，常服永无肠脏之疾。
胡黄连（去皮） 宣连（去毛） 白芜荑（去皮） 木香 芦荟（各一钱） 使君子（二十枚）
上，除芦荟一味，外五味银器内用猪胆汁熬成膏，后入芦荟同丸如绿豆大。每
服五七粒，空心日午临卧米汤下，神效。
猪肚丸 治小儿疳热而瘦。
柴胡 黄连 秦艽（各一两，净） 芜荑（二两，用瓦上爆干，去壳取肉，别为末，临时入用）
上，用猪肚一个，中庸者，破开净洗，入前药三味末于内，以酒半瓶、童子小
便一升，煮干，舂令得所，放芜荑末，又舂匀，丸如桐子大。每服二十丸，饮下。
《王氏手集》治小儿疳瘦，大人五劳七伤方。
宣黄连（半斤，去须及芦头，为细末） 猪肚（一个，去脂膜，将黄连末穣在内，缝合，于三斗米内蒸，以米熟
软为度）
上件，取出烂研，丸如粟米大，风干。随儿大小加减，日三服，三岁儿每服五
七丸至十丸，大人服如桐子大，每服二十丸，空心米饮下。
〔赵氏〕斧捶丸 治小儿疳，久服肥白。
干虾蟆（一枚） 白矾 胆矾 绿矾（各半两，四味同入罐子内，炭火烧，矾枯为度） 京三棱 石三
棱鸡爪三棱 萆 鹤虱 雷丸 淡芜荑 黑狗脊 木香（各半两） 没石子（三枚）
使君子（十枚） 芦荟 熊胆（各一钱）
上为末，醋煮干枣取肉烂研，入少面糊和药极熟，丸如绿豆大。每服七丸，米饮下。
玉拄杖散 治小儿疳瘦。
黄 （二两） 白茯苓（半两） 人参 白术（各一两）
上为末。以水一盏，药一钱，煎七分，温服。
芦荟丸 治小儿诸疳羸瘦，不生肌肉。
芦荟 木香 红芍药 没石子（各半两） 使君子（去壳） 胡黄连（各二钱半） 肉豆蔻（二钱） 人参（一钱）
上为细末，入麝香半钱，别研令细，与药拌匀，蜜水打面糊为丸。每服十五丸，
米饮下，空心食前服。
〔吉氏〕益儿丸 治小儿一切疳瘦，夜多盗汗，肌肉热。
人参 白术 茯苓 柴胡（去苗） 甘草（炙） 陈皮（去白） 鳖甲（醋炙，去裙 ） 京三棱（湿纸裹，
煨香熟。各等分）
上细末，炼蜜丸，如鸡头实大。每服一丸，米饮化，食前，日三服。
《朱氏家传》肥儿丸
白芜荑（去壳秤） 黄连（去须） 神曲 麦 （各等分）
上为末，用 猪胆煮糊，丸如大麻子大。每服三十丸，食前，米饮下。《张氏家
传》《庄氏家传》方皆同，或治疳积，或治疳瘦。
六味肥儿丸 治疳多因缺乳，食肉太早，或患脏腑胃虚，疗诸般疳，化虫，治黄瘦
肚急，消疳退疳热可常服。
黄连（《局方》加肉豆蔻） 陈皮（去白，《局方》去此，用木香） 神曲（炒，《局方》有使君子） 麦 （炒。各
一两，《局方》加三棱、蓬术） 川楝肉（一两炒） 白芜荑（半两，《局方》去此，用槟榔）
上为末，神曲糊丸，麻子大。每服三十丸，空心、米饮吞下。
〔薛〕按∶前方，又治脾疳，饮食少思，肌肉消瘦，肚大颈细，发稀成穗，项
间结核，发热作渴，精神倦怠，大便酸臭，嗜食泥土，或口鼻头生疮，肚见青筋，
啮齿下利，便白五疳。用此丸加干蟾一两、芦荟五钱，尤妙。
秘方肥儿丸 消疳进食。
黄连（五钱） 木香（一钱） 神曲 麦 （各一两，并炒） 使君肉（煨） 肉豆蔻（面裹煨，各五钱） 槟榔
（一枚） 虾蟆（一个） 白术（一两）
上为末，面糊丸，如粟米大。空心米饮下，量儿加减。
《朱氏家传》治小儿脾疹疳瘦惊积方
上用黄栝蒌一个，去瓤，用黄连末填满，蒸烂取出，用朴硝末一钱、盖头，临
夜方取，然后露一宿，研烂为丸如小绿豆大。每服五丸，熟水下。
洁古云∶小儿疳病肌瘦，血气不足，同大人劳瘵之疾治之。
按∶以洁古此论详之，不拘冷热虚羸，皆用四君子、地黄丸与前药相兼服
为得也。然有胸膈积瘀，不受参术地黄之补者，先用清疳取积之药，然后补剂可
施，故备载诸方，以俟采择，诚以病之变态多端，非执一隅可以御百变，若看方
三年，无病不治者，鲜不以为繁杂矣。
Huang (Zhi with honey water) Hu Huang Lian (Quinine Root) Di Gu Pi (Cortex Lycii) Chai Hu (Radix Bupleuri) (each in equal parts)
Grind the above herbs into powder, make pills with refined honey, sized like Euryale Seed. Soak overnight in wine, expose to dew for one night, clarify and remove the wine the next day, take with Mint Decoction.
Qian's Ju Lian Wan (Tangerine Peel and Coptis Pill): Treats malnutrition emaciation; long-term use promotes digestion, harmonizes Qi, and builds muscle.
Ju Pi (Tangerine Peel, 1 liang) Huang Lian (Coptis Rhizome, soaked in rice wash water overnight, 1.5 liang)
Grind the above herbs into fine powder, separately grind Shi Xiang (Musk, 0.5 qian). Take seven pig gallbladders, divide the powder into them, boil in starch water. When nearly cooked, pierce slightly with a needle until fully cooked. Mix with millet porridge to form pills sized like mung beans. Take 10 to 20-30 pills each time, down with rice drink, adjust dosage according to the child's age, no fixed time. (Zhang Yuansu said: Huang Lian is bitter and drying, can clear Spleen fire, and build muscle.)
Er Sheng Wan (Two Sage Pills): Treats pediatric organ dysfunction, alternating diarrhea and constipation, chronic and unhealed, emaciation; suitable for regular use.
Huang Lian (Coptis Rhizome, remove stamens) Huang Bo (Phellodendron Bark, remove coarse skin) (each 1 liang)
Grind the above herbs into fine powder, place inside a pig gallbladder, cook thoroughly over boiling water. Form pills sized like mung beans. Take 20-30 pills each time, down with rice drink, adjust dosage according to the child's age, frequent administration is acceptable.
[Zhang Huan] Jin Su Dan (Golden Millet Pill) (Formula see "Internal Malnutrition" section.)
Xiang Chan Dan (Toad and Musk Pill): Treats muscle emaciation, sallow complexion, high chest, thin legs.
Gan Chan (Dried Toad, 5 pieces, soak in water, remove bones, place in a clay bottle, open top, insert toad, seal with salt mud, burn with charcoal leaving a small vent until smoke stops, remove and place on ground overnight to eliminate fire toxicity) Hu Huang Lian (Quinine Root, 2 liang) She Tui Pi (Snake Slough, 1 liang, burn to ash) Di Long (Pheretima, 0.5 liang, lightly stir-fried) Tian Zhu Huang (Bambusa Textilis Sap) Chan Qiao (Cicada Slough) (each 1 fen. Grind all above into fine powder, then add) Zhu Sha (Cinnabar, 0.5 liang, finely ground) Shi Xiang (Musk, 1 fen, finely ground)
Mix all ingredients evenly, bind with glutinous rice paste into pills sized like millet seeds. Take 10 pills each time, down with rice drink, no fixed time, adjust dosage according to child's size.
Wan Quan Fang Lei Wan Dan (Lei Wan Pill from Wan Quan Formula): Treats all types of pediatric malnutrition, abdominal distension and fullness, withered and thin limbs, sores around eyes/nose/mouth, high fever, rice-water-like dysentery, progressive emaciation, lackluster complexion.
Lei Wan (Polyporus Umbellatus, raw) He Shi (Ilex Seeds, raw) Shi Jun Zi (Quisqualis Fruit, shelled, raw) Hu Huang Lian (Quinine Root, lightly stir-fried) Lu Hui (Aloe, ground) (each 0.5 liang) Shi Xiang (Musk, 0.5 qian, ground and added) Chan (Toad, 1 piece, soak in wine overnight, slow-fire roast until cooked, remove skin/feet/bones and bake) Mu Xiang (Vladimiria Root) Rou Dou Kou (Nutmeg) (each 1 fen) Wu Yi (Alpinia Katsumadae, 1 liang, remove skin, lightly stir-fried, ground and added) Zhu Sha (Cinnabar, 2 qian, ground, reserve some for coating)
Pound the above herbs, sieve into powder, mix thoroughly. Extract juice from four pig gallbladders, pour into a porcelain cup, boil externally over water, knead with medicine to form pills sized like millet seeds. Take 5-7 pills each time, down with Ophiopogon decoction, take on empty stomach in morning, noon, and before bed.
[Kong Shi] Shen Sheng Wan (Divine Holy Pill): For building flesh, treating pediatric malnutrition; regular use prevents internal organ diseases.
Hu Huang Lian (Quinine Root, remove skin) Xuan Lian (Coptis, remove hairs) Bai Wu Yi (Alpinia Katsumadae, remove skin) Mu Xiang (Vladimiria Root) Lu Hui (Aloe) (each 1 qian) Shi Jun Zi (Quisqualis Fruit, 20 pieces)
Except for Aloe, simmer the other five herbs in silver vessel with pig bile to form a paste, then add Aloe to form pills sized like mung beans. Take 5-7 pills each time, down with rice soup on empty stomach, at noon, and before bed; miraculous effect.
Zhu Du Wan (Pig Stomach Pill): Treats pediatric malnutrition heat and emaciation.
Chai Hu (Radix Bupleuri) Huang Lian (Coptis Rhizome) Qin Jiao (Gentiana Macrophylla Root) (each 1 liang, cleaned) Wu Yi (Alpinia Katsumadae, 2 liang, dried on tile, shelled, meat separated, ground into powder separately for late addition)
Take one medium pig stomach, cut open and clean thoroughly. Insert the three powdered herbs inside. Add half bottle of wine and one sheng of urine from an uncircumcised boy. Boil until dry. Pound appropriately. Add Wu Yi powder, pound again to mix evenly. Form pills sized like Sophora seeds. Take 20 pills each time, down with water.
Wang Shi Shou Ji Formula for Pediatric Malnutrition Emaciation and Adult Five Exhaustions and Seven Injuries.
Xuan Huang Lian (Coptis, 0.5 jin, remove stamens and rhizome head, grind to fine powder) Zhu Du (Pig Stomach, 1 piece, remove fat membrane, stuff with Huang Lian powder, sew shut, steam in three dou of rice until rice is soft)
Remove the mixture, grind until smooth, form pills sized like millet seeds, air dry. Adjust dosage according to child's size, take three times daily. For three-year-old children, take 5-10 pills each time. For adults, form pills sized like Sophora seeds, take 20 pills each time, down with rice drink on empty stomach.
[Zhao Shi] Fu Chui Wan (Axe-Pounded Pill): Treats pediatric malnutrition; long-term use leads to plumpness and whiteness.

Grind into powder. Cook dried dates in vinegar, take pulp and grind well. Add little flour paste to bind medicine thoroughly. Form pills sized like mung beans. Take 7 pills each time, down with rice drink.
Yu Zhu Zhang San (Jade Crutch Powder): Treats pediatric malnutrition emaciation.
Huang Qi (Astragalus Root, 2 liang) Bai Fu Ling (Poria, 0.5 liang) Ren Shen (Ginseng) Bai Zhu (Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome) (each 1 liang)
Grind into powder. Use one cup of water, one qian of powder, decoct to 0.7 cup, take warm.
Lu Hui Wan (Aloe Pill): Treats various pediatric malnutrition emaciation, failure to build muscle.
Lu Hui (Aloe) Mu Xiang (Vladimiria Root) Hong Shao Yao (Red Peony Root) Mei Shi Zi (Myrobalan) (each 0.5 liang) Shi Jun Zi (Quisqualis Fruit, shelled) Hu Huang Lian (Quinine Root) (each 2.5 qian) Rou Dou Kou (Nutmeg, 2 qian) Ren Shen (Ginseng, 1 qian)
Grind into fine powder, add 0.5 qian of Shi Xiang (Musk), grind separately until fine, mix evenly with medicine. Make pills with honey-water flour paste. Take 15 pills each time, down with rice drink, take on empty stomach before meals.
[Ji Shi] Yi Er Wan (Benefit Child Pill): Treats all pediatric malnutrition emaciation, night sweats, muscle heat.
Ren Shen (Ginseng) Bai Zhu (Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome) Fu Ling (Poria) Chai Hu (Radix Bupleuri, remove sprouts) Gan Cao (Licorice Root, roasted) Chen Pi (Tangerine Peel, remove white pith) Bie Jia (Carapax et Plastrum Testudinis, vinegar-roasted, remove skirt) Jing San Leng (Burret Flower Bulb, wrap in wet paper, roast until fragrant) (each equal parts)
Grind into fine powder, make pills with refined honey sized like Euryale Seed. Take one pill each time, dissolve in rice drink, take before meals, three times daily.
Zhu Shi Jia Chuan Fei Er Wan (Flesh-Building Child Pill from Zhu Family Tradition)
Bai Wu Yi (Alpinia Katsumadae, shelled and weighed) Huang Lian (Coptis Rhizome, remove stamens) Shen Qu (Medicated Leaven) Mai Ya (Sprouted Hordeum Vulgare) (each equal parts)
Grind into powder, make paste with boiled pig bile, form pills sized like hemp seeds. Take 30 pills each time, before meals, down with rice drink. Zhang Shi Jia Chuan and Zhuang Shi Jia Chuan formulas are identical, some treat malnutrition accumulation, some treat malnutrition emaciation.
Liu Wei Fei Er Wan (Six-Ingredient Flesh-Building Child Pill): Treats malnutrition often due to lack of milk, early introduction of meat, or deficiency of Zang-Fu/Stomach. Treats various malnutrition, expels parasites, treats sallow emaciation and urgent abdomen, clears malnutrition and reduces malnutrition heat; suitable for regular use.

Grind into powder, make pills with Shen Qu paste, sized like sesame seeds. Take 30 pills each time, on empty stomach, swallow with rice drink.
[Xue Ji] Commentary: The above formula also treats Spleen Malnutrition, poor appetite, muscle emaciation, large abdomen and thin neck, sparse hair forming tufts, lymph node swelling in neck, fever with thirst, mental fatigue, sour-smelling stool, pica (eating dirt), sores on mouth/nose/head, visible blue veins on abdomen, teeth grinding, diarrhea, white stool, belonging to the Five Malnutritions. Adding 1 liang of Gan Chan (Dried Toad) and 5 qian of Lu Hui (Aloe) to this pill is especially effective.
Secret Recipe Fei Er Wan (Flesh-Building Child Pill): Clears malnutrition, stimulates appetite.

Grind into powder, make pills with flour paste, sized like millet seeds. Down with rice drink on empty stomach, adjust dosage according to child.
Zhu Shi Jia Chuan Formula for Pediatric Spleen Rash, Malnutrition Emaciation, Shock, and Accumulation.
Take one Huang Gua Lou (Trichosanthes Fruit), remove pulp, fill with Huang Lian powder, steam until soft, remove. Cover with 1 qian of Xiao Ming (Mirabilite). Take only at night, then expose to dew overnight. Grind into paste, form pills sized like small mung beans. Take 5 pills each time, down with boiled water.
Jie Gu said: Pediatric malnutrition causes emaciation and insufficiency of Blood and Qi; treat it similarly to adult Lao Zhai (Consumption Disease).
Commentary: Based on Jie Gu's discussion, regardless of cold, heat, deficiency, or emaciation, combining Si Jun Zi Tang (Four Gentlemen Decoction), Di Huang Wan (Rehmannia Pill), and the aforementioned medicines is appropriate. However, if there is stagnation and blood stasis in the chest and diaphragm, preventing tolerance of tonification by Ren Shen, Bai Zhu, and Di Huang, first use medicines to clear malnutrition and remove accumulation, then apply tonifying agents. Therefore, various formulas are recorded for selection, truly because disease manifestations are diverse, and holding to one corner cannot handle hundred changes. Those who study formulas for three years claiming to cure all diseases will rarely not find them complicated.
