[Qian Yi] Food fails to digest due to cold deficiency of the Spleen and Stomach, thus inability to digest; it should be primarily treated with Bupi Yihuang San (Spleen-Supplementing Yellow-Enhancing Powder). [Zhang Congzheng] Undigested milk and food, initially presenting with sudden cold breath and cold limbs, pale lusterless complexion, and unsettled spirit, indicates disharmony of Stomach Qi; it can be treated with strongly warming herbs, using Shijunzi Wan (Quince Seed Pill) or Yihuang San (Yellow-Enhancing Powder) as primary treatments. If diarrhea persists for a long time without recovery, with undigested milk and food, this indicates wind-cold in the Spleen and Stomach; first administer two doses of Yihuang San, then use Xuanfeng San (Wind-Releasing Powder) to guide/drain; the Stomach Qi is suitable for further tonification, referring to the content in the Sunxie Chapter of Da Ke for application.
