Banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma) has a draining property, and Zhuling (Polyporus) guides water downward; this is likely intended to address Kidney Qi obstruction by guiding the Qi mechanism to achieve unobstruction.
Siqi Tang (See "Qi" disorders). Bai Wanzi (See "Wind-Stroke" disorders).
Weixi Wan (from *Taiping Huimin Heji Jufang*). Treats men with deficiency-cold of the Original Yang, insecurity of Essence and Qi, constant post-urination dribbling, turbid urine, and frequent nocturnal emission during dreams. It also treats women with long-standing cold in the Blood Sea, leukorrhea (Baidai), white discharge (Bailou), non-menstrual white vaginal discharge (Baiyin), chronic dampness in the lower jiao, urine resembling rice washings, or infertility.
Huangla (Beeswax, 4 liang). Baifuling (Poria, peeled, 4 liang, cut into blocks, boiled together with 2.5 qian of Zhuling in a porcelain vessel for over twenty boils, then removed and dried; Zhuling is not reused).
Grind the Poria into fine powder, melt the Beeswax, and knead to form pills the size of marbles. Chew slowly on an empty stomach until saliva fills the mouth, then swallow gradually. Discontinue when the urine becomes clear. Avoid rice vinegar, and especially avoid anger; only consume bran vinegar.
Liqing Yin (See "White Turbidity" disorders).
Sanxian Wan. Treats nocturnal emission.
Yizhiren (Bitter Apricot Seed of *Alpinia oxyphylla*, 2 liang, stir-fried with 2 liang of salt, discard salt). Wuyao (Lindera Root, 1.5 liang, stir-fried). Shanyao (Chinese Yam, 1 liang, ground into powder to make paste).
Grind all ingredients into fine powder. Use the Chinese Yam paste to bind and form pills the size of Sophora seeds. Take 50 pills per dose, coated with Cinnabar powder, taken on an empty stomach and before bed with salted water. For cases of involuntary seminal emission, spontaneous sweating, dizziness, extreme deficiency, alternating chills and fever, where tonifying and astringent herbs are ineffective, and the pulse is floating, soft, and scattered, this is not true deficiency, nor caused by excessive sexual activity. The cause lies in visual stimuli, mental attachment, and unfulfilled desires leading to this condition. Since tonification and astringency have failed, how should it be treated? When the Heart has affection, the Spirit does not return; when the Yi (Intellect) has fixation, the Zhi (Will) is unsettled. First, harmonize Ying and Wei; when Ying and Wei are harmonized, the Heart calms. Second, regulate the Spleen; when Spleen Qi is harmonized, the residence of the Will stabilizes. When Heart and Kidney interact and Essence and Spirit remain within, the disease heals spontaneously. Method: Use Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma) 3 qian, Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) 1 qian, wash, dry, and grind into powder. Divide into three doses, taken with glutinous rice drink. After completion, spontaneous sweating stops and chills/fever recede. If dizziness persists, use Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma) 3 qian, Renshen 1 qian, dry and grind into powder. Divide into three doses, taken with boiling water. If dizziness resolves but seminal emission continues, use Baishao (Paeoniae Radix Alba) 0.5 liang, Dingxiang (Caryophylli Flos) 3 qian, Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix) 3 qian, cut into pieces. Each dose is decocted with 5 slices of Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens) and 2 dates (Dazao) in water, taken on an empty stomach. This will calm the Heart, stabilize the Spirit, secure the Essence, and bring joy to the Spirit.
