This is caused by ingesting the toxic qi of frogs through diet, which enters the fu organs and flows into the meridians, resulting in nodular swelling and alternating chills and fever. Subsequently, it ulcerates to form a fistula. After taking medicine, an object resembling a frog is discharged with urine; hence, it is called Frog Fistula (Xia Ma Lou).
Snake Fistula (She Lou) is caused by residing in or consuming food contaminated with the toxic qi of snakes. This toxic qi enters the fu organs and flows into the meridians, causing chills, fever, and nodular swelling. The site of discharge is indefinite. Upon ulceration, it forms a fistula. After medication, an object resembling a snake is discharged with urine; thus, it is named Snake Fistula.
[Missing Character] Fistula is generated by the toxic qi from one's residence and diet entering the fu organs and flowing into the meridians. Initially, when contracted, it is like the size of a jujube pit, hard and painful. It may persist for a hundred days or a year, moving without settling in one place, eventually forming an orifice and discharging pus upon ulceration. Therefore, it is called [Missing Character] Fistula.
Some individuals suffer from sores that are distinctly red and white in color, which subsequently develop into sores, known as Red and White Fistula (Chi Bai Lou).
Some individuals develop sores that are black with indurations, containing pus internally. Over time, these accumulate and grow, invading and consuming the sinews and bones, known as Internal Fistula (Nei Lou).
This is caused by the toxic qi of sparrows entering the zang organs and flowing through the vessels due to residence and diet. The eruption occurs at indefinite locations, accompanied by swelling. Upon ulceration, it forms a sore. After taking medicine, an object resembling sparrow excrement is discharged with urine; hence, it is called Sparrow Internal Fistula (Que Nei Lou).
All types of fistulas produce pus. This type is uniquely named "Pus Fistula" (Nong Lou) because various sores fail to heal for a long time, forming fistulas, and are further compounded by the stagnation and accumulation of hot toxic qi generating pus. The pus flows continuously without cessation; therefore, it is called Pus Fistula.
Cold Fistula (Leng Lou) refers to sores that have contracted wind-cold pathogenic factors, failing to heal for a long time, leading to the formation of a fistula with continuous pus discharge; hence, it is termed Cold Fistula.
Chronic Fistula (Jiu Lou) refers to various fistulas that are persistent and lingering, failing to heal over a long period. They may temporarily heal and then recur, or shift to two or three different locations, becoming interconnected; thus, it is called Chronic Fistula.
This is caused by wind-pathogenic toxic qi lodging in the muscles and stopping at areas of deficiency, condensing to form Scrofula (Luo Li). These nodules vary in size like plums, peaches, or jujube pits, often appearing in clusters of two or three between the skin, accompanied by intermittent chills and fever. Over time, they transform into pus and ulcerate. For treatments involving decoctions, moxibustion/heat application, acupuncture, and stone therapy, there are separate specific formulas. For nourishing and guiding practices, please refer to the *Preservation Formulas · Guiding Methods* (Yang Sheng Fang · Dao Yin Fa), which states: Squat down, insert your bent feet inward using both hands to support the ground, bend your legs to place them on top, and lift your hips. This method can be used to promote the circulation of Qi and cure Scrofula and Breast Abscess (Ru Yong).
