人有偶遇妖狐，岁久缠绵，不肯遽去，以致骨瘦形枯，与死为邻者，本难治疗，以妖狐惟
盗人之精也。精为人生根本，根实先拨，仅存躯壳，安得久乎？虽然狐媚之盗人精者，必使
人昏迷而后取，是乘人梦中窃之也。苟用药得宜，尚可接续，以梦中窃盗，肾根未漓也。若大
补病患之精，仍为狐媚所取，漏卮又何能补？必须
用内外兼治之法，狐媚可祛也。内治方名为断媚汤∶
巴戟天（一两） 人参（一两） 熟地（一两） 山茱萸（五钱） 茯苓（五钱）水煎
服。日日一剂。
外治方名为却媚丹∶
花椒（一钱） 生附子（三分） 麝香（一分） 砂仁（三粒） 细辛（三分） 瓜蒂（
三枚） 三柰（一钱）各为细末，用蜜调。男搽阴茎头上，并根下，女搽阴门内外，狐见之
必大骂而去，不敢再犯。一连七日敷之，若来即敷，其迹自断，而断媚汤必须服一、二月也。
内治之药，不过补其心肾之亏，用外治方者，以狐媚迷人，先以唾送入人口，人咽其津，
即刻昏迷，彼即乘人之迷，乃用舌战，人亦如梦非梦，听其口吮，乐甚而忘其泄精也。外治
之药，皆狐媚所畏，吾即因其所恶而制之也。
此症用输精汤亦妙。
熟地（二两） 巴戟天（一两） 肉苁蓉 麦冬（各五钱） 北五味（一两）水煎服。
服后童便漱口即去。
人有感遇蛇妖，绸缪缒绻，数月之后，身体干枯，皮肤燥裂，宛如蛇皮之斑，
此蛇祟也。蛇系至阴之物，能盗至阳之气。肺属气，肺气尽为蛇妖所吸，则肺气不能生
津，津枯则肺无所养。皮毛者，肺之所主也，内既不能养肺，肺将何津以养皮毛乎？此燥裂
如斑之形见也。治法必须补肺气之不足。然而补气益助邪之所喜，不若用解毒之药，入之健脾
利水之中，则邪气易散，正气可回耳。方用逐蛇汤∶
白芷（一两） 白术（二两） 苍术（一两） 车前子（一两）水煎服。小便中必有
黑气喷出，随溲而泄也。一连四服，则皮肤之斑少软。后以雄黄（二两） 白芷（二两）各研
细末，滚水煮数沸，乘热熏洗之。如是者三日，斑乃尽消。仍服逐蛇汤，四剂而愈。愈后，再
用四君子汤加味治之。
人参（三钱） 白术（一两） 生甘草（二钱） 茯苓（三钱） 麦冬（一两） 天
门冬（五钱） 百合（一两） 沙参（五钱）水煎服。一月可复元也。否则，蛇毒虽解，羸弱
之极恐变成痨瘵矣。或问服逐蛇汤，蛇妖禁不许服，奈何？不知蛇最惧者，白芷也。将前药
在病患房中煎之，彼闻气而疾遁矣，何敢作祟乎。但煎药之时，不可令病患知道，备药之时，
亦不可令一人知也，人苟不知，妖断断不觉耳。
此症用苍黄散亦神。
人参（三钱） 苍术 雄黄（各一两）煎汤沐浴，数日即止祟。
人有身体伶仃，有皮无肉，胸胁间长成鳞甲，然健饭如故，人以为与龙交也。然人与龙
交，则其人身虽变成鳞甲，必然有肉。盖其人为龙所爱，岂有丧人性命之理。且人与龙交，
龙必转与之精气，其人久且变龙，遇风雨而化去。盖龙寿万年，龙亦水中之仙也，人变为龙，
即人化为水仙耳，安有仅存皮骨者乎。然则前症非龙交也，乃龙盗人之气，故肉尽消耳。虽
然真气为龙所盗，则人宜死矣，何故犹存人世，而胸胁长成鳞甲耶。不知龙止吸人之气，不
吸人之精，龙属阳而恶阴，人之精水属阴，故龙不食也。胸胁生鳞甲者，龙吸人之气，不能
一口吞咽，呼吸之间，以龙气回冲，而龙涎偶沾濡于人之胸胁，遂至生长鳞甲耳。治法必须
化龙之毒，大补其真气，则无气可以生气，无肉可以长肉也。方用解鳞丹∶
人参（三两） 白术（二两） 茯苓（一两） 生甘草（五钱） 肉桂（二钱） 白矾（
二钱） 丹砂末（三钱） 麦冬（五钱） 当归（一两） 白芥子（三钱）水煎服。一剂鳞
甲尽消，再剂气旺，减药之半，连服十剂，人之肉生，再服十剂全愈。
此方补气为君，少佐之白矾、丹砂，龙毒何以易消乎？盖白矾最能软坚而化痰，丹砂最化
鱼龙之毒，二味入于补气之中，全无干碍，所以合用成功也。但丹砂必须同药共煎，切不
可生用调服，盖丹砂生用无毒，熟用则有毒，取其以毒攻毒也。或问龙吸人之气，则人之阳气
尽散，宜胃气消亡，不宜健饭如故，讵识胃为肾之关，肾精未丧，则肾火犹存，肾火上蒸，而
胃火接续，胃气升腾，所以可救。倘胃气消索，虽有解鳞汤之奇，亦无可如何矣。
此症用增味补气汤亦神。
人参 当归（各一两） 黄 （二两） 苍术（三钱） 雄黄（一钱）水煎服。服十日
而鳞甲隐矣，渐生肉也。
人有山林之间偶遇少妇，两情眷顾，遂与野合，泄精如注，倦极困卧，醒来少妇已失所
在，玉茎微痛，明日大痛，三日之后，肿如黄瓜之样，人以为野合浪战之伤，谁知是花妖之
毒哉。夫花木之精有何毒？不知树木岁久，始能成精，物经长久，未有无毒者。况花木经数千
百年之后，其孔隙之间，安保无蛇虫所居，得日月之灵气，虽已成精，而毒瓦斯留存未化也。
虽然木气慈仁，花妖每不杀人，不过盗人精气，以图自化其身，不意孔隙之间，留毒尚在，
以致玉茎肿痛。花木之精，不皆阴物，
有化老人者，有化道士者，有化秀士者，不止化女人，以迷惑男子也。化女者，多使人玉茎
肿痛，化男者，反无恙耳。所以老树成精，往往得妇人之精气，便能立变为人，或投胎夺
舍而去。惟化女者，未免贻害男子，天所以恶其过，而使斩伐之也，故花妖每不能成人耳。
树妖与花妖均盗人精气，而树妖得成正果者，以其求道心切，又不坏人，天所以恕而成之
也。倘树妖纯盗人精气，不死不休者，仍为天之所怒，非遭斧斤之厄，即遇霹雳之震耳。玉
茎肿痛，妖再不至者，畏天耳。然人何以治之乎？方用安阴汤∶
生甘草（五钱） 茯苓（五钱） 蚯蚓（二条） 葱（二枝） 黄柏（三钱）水煎服。
一剂即消，不必再剂也，以渣再煎汤洗之。
此方用生甘草以解毒，用茯苓以利水，蚯蚓者，最善消肿，黄柏祛火，葱能发散，同群
共济，引毒直走膀胱，从阴器而出，毒出而肿自化矣。
此症用麝柏丹外治亦佳。
炒黄柏（五钱） 麝香（一钱） 生甘草（一钱）各为细末，香油调搽，三日愈。
人有邂逅少艾，目挑心许，或投以佩带，勾以语言，遂至引入家门，两相配
合，晨夕肆淫，形体消瘦。初不知其为山魈也，久则时隐时现，常去常来。彼必自称仙
子，号曰真人，且能体病患所欲，饮馔金物等项，心思得之，立时猝至，皆可用之而无
疑。惟是山魈来时，必欲人尽去其衣，裸体而战，不似他妖之喜掩饰也。此等之怪，甚于
花木之妖，轻于狐狸之祟。盖狐狸盗人之精，不尽不止；山魈止吸人之气，适可而止也。
然而，狐狸之祟易祛，山魈之魅难遣，以山魈亦具神通，未便以草木之药治之也。夫山魈，
阳妖耳，阳妖自必喜阳，而山魈则喜阴，故逢女则易合也。然其性最喜洁恶秽，裸体而战
者，正恐女子之秽其体也。治法即以秽治之。方用善秽汤∶
犬肉（二两，先煮汤二碗） 入∶人参（一两） 红铅纸（一片） 肉苁蓉（三钱二）
蚕沙（三钱） 鸡卵（二枚） 山羊血（一钱） 龙骨末（一钱） 秋石（一钱）水煎服。
山魈知煎此汤，必在房中大骂，须令人锣鼓喧天，大闹于房外，彼必大笑。然后以此汤灌病
人之口，得饮一口，山魈知之，大笑而去。乘其去后，急以狗血涂病患之面，与下体不便之
处。少顷，彼必再来，见此等形状，断必绝交，不再至也。此乘其好洁而乱之也。
此症用苍狗汤治之亦神。
苍术（一斤） 狗血（一斤，和在一处，水一斤，再和合一处，煎数沸，将病患身体遍
擦，彼必大骂而去。所擦之人，亦将血水擦面，妖即不能暗击矣。但煎药之时，须在邻舍无
人处煎之，妖不能知也。）
人有游于洲渚之间，或遇矮人，或见长老，须眉颁白，道貌可观，引至其家，谈心论
性，时往时来，莫能踪迹，此有道之士、即是怪物，何必拒之。间有化秀士以斗风流，变妖姬
以逞姣好，乃美言相挑，以珍物相赠，人为所惑，遂至野合，久之探战吸精，尽情纵欲，人逐
之而不避，人骂之而生嗔，飞沙走石，坏屋倒庐，世多不识其怪，谁知是鱼鳖元龟之族哉。夫
水族之怪，不能离水，何以登岸而作祟耶？不知凡物之偷生于世者，年至千岁，皆能变化为
人。既能变化，有何陆之不可游行乎。千岁之物，往往出而迷人者，亦其慕道之心太切耳。盖
人之气最灵，物得之可以入道。但其初，心亦不过欲窃人之灵气，未常有害人之念也，故天
亦置而不问。迨既与人接，欲尽取之而后快。遂动杀人之心，于是作祟兴妖之事起，人始知
是妖，而谋共逐之矣。治法又不同于祛他妖之法，以他妖生于陆内，鱼鳖元龟生于水耳。
方用∶
硫黄数两，研末，煎汤。遍洒于病患之室与病患之家房中，时时烧之，使气味充闾，
彼必畏缩而不敢入。更用苍术一两，白术二两，煎汤，日与病患服之。更将二味之渣杂之硫
黄，煮熏病患之衣服褥被，自此永绝其迹矣。
二术乃纯阳之气，妖闻之最恶，况加入硫黄相克之物，安得不畏避哉。
此症用远邪饼亦神。
胡椒（四两） 干姜（一斤） 炒苍术（一斤）各为末，取芦柴烧灰，和勾成饼，在房
内焚饼熏之，三日即断迹矣。如无芦柴，用炭末亦妙。
A person who accidentally encounters a demon fox, entangled for years and unwilling to leave easily, resulting in emaciation and withering, nearly on the verge of death. This condition is inherently difficult to treat because the demon fox specifically steals human *Jing* (Essence). Essence is the root of life; once the root is shaken, only a shell remains, how can one survive long? Although, the fox charm stealing essence must first cause coma before taking it, stealing it secretly during sleep. If medication is appropriate, recovery is still possible, because being stolen from in dreams means the kidney root has not yet completely drained. If one merely tonifies the patient's essence heavily, it will still be taken by the fox charm; how can a leaking cup be filled? One must use internal and external combined treatment to dispel the fox charm. The internal prescription is named Duanmei Tang (Sever Charm Decoction): Morinda officinalis Root (Radix Morindae Officinalis) (1 liang), Ginseng Radix (Radix Ginseng) (1 liang), Prepared Rehmannia Root (Radix Rehmanniae Preparata) (1 liang), Cornus Officinalis Fruit (Fructus Corni Officinalis) (5 qian), Poria (Sclerotium Poriae) (5 qian), decocted in water and taken orally. One dose daily.
The external prescription is named Que Mei Dan (Repel Charm Pill): Zanthoxylum Bungeanum Fruit (Fructus Zanthoxyli) (1 qian), Raw Aconite Lateralis Radix (Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata - Note: Text says Sheng Fuzi/Raw, usually processed but text specifies raw) (3 fen), Moschus (Moschi Fermentum) (1 fen), Amomum Villosum Fruit (Fructus Amomi) (3 grains), Asarum Herba (Herba Asari) (3 fen), Thladiantra Dubia Fruit (Fructus Thladianthae) (3 pieces), Alpinia Galanga Rhizome (Rhizoma Alpiniae Galangae) (1 qian), each ground into fine powder, mixed with honey. Men apply it to the glans penis and base; women apply it inside and outside the vulva. The fox demon will see it, curse loudly, and leave, daring not to offend again. Apply continuously for seven days; if it returns, apply again, its traces will naturally cease, while Duanmei Tang must be taken for one to two months.
The internal medicine merely supplements the deficiency of Heart and Kidney. The external medicine is used because when the fox charm bewitches people, it first introduces saliva into the mouth; upon swallowing its saliva, the person immediately falls into a coma. It then takes advantage of this state, engaging in tongue play. The person feels as if in a dream, allowing itself to suckle, feeling extreme pleasure and forgetting to emit essence. The external medicines are all things the fox charm fears; I utilize what it detests to subdue it.
This condition can also be treated effectively with Shujing Tang (Transmitting Essence Decoction): Prepared Rehmannia Root (Radix Rehmanniae Preparata) (2 liang), Morinda officinalis Root (Radix Morindae Officinalis) (1 liang), Cistanche Deserticola Stem (Caulis Cistanches), Ophiopogon Japonicus Tuber (Radix Ophiopogonis) (each 5 qian), Schisandra Chinensis Fruit (Fructus Schisandrae Chinensis) (1 liang), decocted in water and taken orally. Rinse mouth with fresh urine of an unmarried boy after taking the medicine to remove the pathogen.
Someone who encounters a snake demon, entangled for months, becomes emaciated, skin dry and cracked like snake scales; this is Snake Sui (Snake Affliction). Snakes are objects of extreme Yin, capable of stealing extreme Yang Qi. The Lung governs Qi; if Lung Qi is entirely absorbed by the snake demon, Lung Qi cannot generate fluids. When fluids dry up, the Lung loses nourishment. Skin and hair are governed by the Lung. Internally unable to nourish the Lung, how can the Lung provide fluids to nourish the skin and hair? This explains the appearance of dry cracks resembling spots. The treatment method must supplement the insufficiency of Lung Qi. However, tonifying Qi may aid the pathogen's preference; it is better to use detoxifying herbs combined with those that strengthen the Spleen and promote urination, so the pathogenic Qi disperses easily and Healthy Qi returns. Use Zhushé Tang (Expel Snake Decoction): Angelica Dahurica Root (Radix Angelicae Dahuricae) (1 liang), Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome (Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae) (2 liang), Atractylodes Lancea Rhizome (Rhizoma Atractylodis Lanceae) (1 liang), Plantago Asiatica Seed (Semen Plantaginis) (1 liang), decocted in water and taken orally. There will surely be black gas expelled in the urine, discharged with the flow. After four doses, the skin spots will soften. Then, use Realgar (Realgar) (2 liang) and Angelica Dahurica Root (Radix Angelicae Dahuricae) (2 liang), ground into fine powder, boiled in rolling water for a few boils, and fumigated/washed while hot. Do this for three days, and the spots will disappear completely. Continue taking Zhushé Tang, four doses to cure. After recovery, use Sizijunzi Tang (Four Gentlemen Decoction) with modifications. Ginseng Radix (Radix Ginseng) (3 qian), Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome (Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae) (1 liang), Raw Licorice Root (Radix Glycyrrhizae Preparata) (2 qian), Poria (Sclerotium Poriae) (3 qian), Ophiopogon Japonicus Tuber (Radix Ophiopogonis) (1 liang), Asparagus Cochinchinensis Root (Radix Asparagi) (5 qian), Lily Bulb (Bulbus Lilii) (1 liang), Glehnia Root (Radix Glehniae) (5 qian), decocted in water and taken orally. Recovery of vitality occurs within one month. Otherwise, although the snake poison is resolved, extreme debility may turn into Laozhai (Consumption Disease/Tuberculosis). Someone asks: If the snake demon forbids taking Zhushé Tang, what should be done? It is unknown that the thing snakes fear most is Angelica Dahurica Root. Decoct the previous herbs in the patient's room; upon smelling the aroma, it will flee hastily, how dare it cause trouble? But during decoction, do not let the patient know, nor let anyone know when preparing the herbs. If humans do not know, the demon certainly will not perceive it.
This condition can also be treated effectively with Canghuang San (Green-Yellow Powder): Ginseng Radix (Radix Ginseng) (3 qian), Atractylodes Lancea Rhizome (Rhizoma Atractylodis Lanceae), Realgar (Realgar) (each 1 liang), decocted for bathing, stopping the affliction after a few days.
Someone whose body is thin and frail, having skin but no flesh, with scales growing on the chest and ribs, yet eating well as usual. People think they mated with a dragon. However, if a human mates with a dragon, although the body becomes scaled, there must be flesh. Presumably, because the person is loved by the dragon, there is no reason to lose their life. Moreover, mating with a dragon, the dragon transfers essence to the person; over time, the person transforms into a dragon, disappearing amidst wind and rain. Dragons live ten thousand years and are immortals of water; a human becoming a dragon is a human transforming into a Water Immortal. How could one remain with only skin and bones? Thus, the previous symptom was not mating with a dragon, but the dragon stealing the person's Qi, causing flesh to vanish. Although True Qi is stolen by the dragon, the person should die, why remain alive with scales on the chest and ribs? It is unknown that the dragon only inhales Qi, not Essence. Dragon belongs to Yang and dislikes Yin; human Essence/Water belongs to Yin, so the dragon does not eat it. Scales grow on the chest and ribs because the dragon inhaling Qi cannot swallow it in one gulp; between breaths, Dragon Qi rebounds, and occasionally Dragon Saliva moistens the chest and ribs, causing scales to grow. The treatment method must dissolve the Dragon's poison and greatly tonify True Qi, so that without Qi, Qi can generate Qi, and without flesh, flesh can grow. Use Jielin Dan (Dissolve Scale Pill): Ginseng Radix (Radix Ginseng) (3 liang), Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome (Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae) (2 liang), Poria (Sclerotium Poriae) (1 liang), Raw Licorice Root (Radix Glycyrrhizae Preparata) (5 qian), Cinnamon Twig (Ramulus Cinnamomi) (2 qian), Alum (Alumen) (2 qian), Cinnabar Powder (Mineral Cinnabar) (3 qian), Ophiopogon Japonicus Tuber (Radix Ophiopogonis) (5 qian), Angelica Sinensis Root (Radix Angelicae Sinensis) (1 liang), White Mustard Seed (Semen Sinapis Albae) (3 qian), decocted in water and taken orally. After one dose, scales disappear completely; after another dose, Qi prospers. Reduce dosage by half, take continuously for ten doses, flesh grows; take another ten doses for full recovery.
This formula uses Qi-tonification as the sovereign herb, assisted slightly by Alum and Cinnabar. How can Dragon poison be dissolved? Alum softens hardness and resolves phlegm best; Cinnabar dissolves fish-dragon poison best. These two herbs added to Qi-tonification cause no interference, hence successful combination. However, Cinnabar must be decocted with other herbs; never use raw Cinnabar mixed for administration. Raw Cinnabar is non-toxic, but cooked/processed Cinnabar is toxic; this utilizes "using toxicity to attack toxicity." Someone asks: If the dragon inhales Qi, Yang Qi scatters, Stomach Qi should perish, yet eating remains good. Did you know the Stomach is the gate of the Kidney. If Kidney Essence is not lost, Kidney Fire remains. Kidney Fire steams upward, continuing Stomach Fire, Stomach Qi ascends, thus saving the situation. If Stomach Qi perishes, even with the miracle of Jielin Tang, nothing can be done.
This condition can also be treated effectively with Zengwei Buqi Tang (Modified Qi-Tonifying Decoction): Ginseng Radix (Radix Ginseng), Angelica Sinensis Root (Radix Angelicae Sinensis) (each 1 liang), Astragalus Membranaceus Root (Radix Astragali) (2 liang), Atractylodes Lancea Rhizome (Rhizoma Atractylodis Lanceae) (3 qian), Realgar (Realgar) (1 qian), decocted in water and taken orally. After ten doses, scales recede, and flesh gradually grows.
Someone encountering a young woman in the mountains, mutual affection leads to wild coupling, emitting essence like a stream, exhausted and sleeping deeply. Upon waking, the woman is gone, penis slightly painful. Next day severe pain, after three days swelling like a cucumber. People think it is injury from wild coupling, who knows it is Flower Demon poison? What poison do plant essences have? Plants must age long to become spirits; objects enduring long time inevitably have poison. Moreover, plants thousands of years old, pores may harbor snakes/insects gaining spiritual energy from sun/moon. Though spirit formed, toxic vapors remain untransformed. Although Wood Qi is benevolent, Flower Demons rarely kill, merely stealing essence to transform themselves, unaware pore toxins remain, causing penile swelling/pain. Plant essences are not all Yin; some transform into old men, Taoist priests, scholars, not just women to confuse men. Those transforming into women often cause penile swelling/pain; those into men remain unharmed. Thus, old tree spirits often gain female essence to instantly become human or possess bodies. Only female-transformed ones harm men; Heaven hates this fault, causing them to be cut down, so flower demons rarely become human. Tree and flower demons both steal essence, but tree demons achieve enlightenment because they seek the Dao earnestly and do not harm humans; Heaven forgives and aids them. If tree demons purely steal essence until death, Heaven angers, bringing axe disasters or lightning strikes. Penile swelling/pain ceases because the demon fears Heaven. How to treat? Use Anyin Tang (Calming Yin Decoction): Raw Licorice Root (Radix Glycyrrhizae Preparata) (5 qian), Poria (Sclerotium Poriae) (5 qian), Earthworm (Pheretima) (2 pieces), Scallion (Allium Fistulosum) (2 branches), Phellodendron Bark (Cortex Phellodendri) (3 qian), decocted in water and taken orally. One dose reduces swelling, no need for more; boil dregs again for washing.
This formula uses Raw Licorice to detoxify, Poria to promote urination, Earthworms to reduce swelling best, Phellodendron to clear heat/fire, Scallion to disperse. Together they guide poison directly to Bladder, exiting via genitalia; poison out, swelling resolves.
This condition can also be treated effectively externally with Shebai Dan (Musk-Phellodendron Pill): Stir-fried Phellodendron Bark (Cortex Phellodendri) (5 qian), Moschus (Moschi Fermentum) (1 qian), Raw Licorice Root (Radix Glycyrrhizae Preparata) (1 qian), ground into fine powder, mixed with sesame oil for application, cured in three days.
Someone meeting a young beauty, exchanging glances and consent, given jewelry, seduced by words, brought home, coupling morning and night, body wasting. Initially unaware it is a Mountain Spirit (Shanxiao); later it appears and disappears, comes and goes. It claims to be Fairy or True Person, fulfilling desires, providing food/gold instantly upon thought, usable without doubt. Only when Shanxiao comes, it demands nudity and combat, unlike other demons liking concealment. Such monsters are worse than plant demons, lighter than fox demons. Fox demons steal essence endlessly; Shanxiao only inhales Qi, stopping at moderation. However, Fox demons are easy to dispel, Shanxiao charms hard to send away, as Shanxiao has supernatural powers, unsuitable for herbal treatment. Shanxiao is a Yang demon, Yang demons like Yang, but Shanxiao likes Yin, so it combines easily with women. Its nature loves cleanliness and hates filth; demanding nudity fears female filth contaminating its body. Treatment uses filth to counter it. Use Shan Hui Tang (Good Filth Decoction): Dog Meat (Canis Familiaris) (2 liang, pre-boiled to 2 bowls soup), add: Ginseng Radix (Radix Ginseng) (1 liang), Red Lead Paper (Lithargyrum/Paper soaked in lead compounds - historical term) (1 piece), Cistanche Deserticola Stem (Caulis Cistanches) (3 qian 2 fen), Silkworm Frass (Bombyx Batryticatus) (3 qian), Chicken Egg (Galli Ovum) (2 pieces), Goat Blood (Sanguis Caprae) (1 qian), Dragon Bone Powder (Os Draconis) (1 qian), Autumn Stone (Mineral Urine Salt) (1 qian), decocted in water and taken orally. Shanxiao knowing this soup is brewed will curse loudly in the room. Make noise with drums/gongs outside; it will laugh loudly. Then pour soup into patient's mouth. One sip, Shanxiao knows, laughs and leaves. Immediately after, smear dog blood on patient's face and lower body. Soon it returns, sees this shape, cuts ties, never returns. This disturbs its love for cleanliness.
This condition can also be treated effectively with Cang Gou Tang (Atractylodes-Dog Blood Decoction): Atractylodes Lancea Rhizome (Rhizoma Atractylodis Lanceae) (1 jin), Dog Blood (Sanguis Canis) (1 jin, mixed together, add 1 jin water, mix again, boil a few times, rub entire body of patient. It will curse and leave. The person rubbing also smears blood/water on face, demon cannot strike secretly. But decoct in neighbor-less place, demon cannot know.)
Someone wandering islets, meeting dwarfs or elders with white hair/beards, dignified appearance, leading home, discussing nature, coming and going, untraceable. These are Daoist practitioners, i.e., monsters, why reject? Occasionally transforming into scholars for romance, or demon beauties for beauty, using sweet words and gifts, confusing humans into wild coupling. Long-term essence sucking, indulging lust, driving away without fleeing, cursing without anger, throwing sand/stones, destroying houses. World doesn't recognize them, who knows they are Fish/Turtle clan? Aquatic monsters cannot leave water, how land to cause trouble? Unknown that any object surviving millennia can transform into human. Since able to transform, why not walk on land? Millennial objects often emerge to confuse, due to eager desire for Dao. Human Qi is most spiritual; objects gaining it enter Dao. Initially, heart only wants to steal spiritual Qi, no intent to harm, so Heaven ignores. Once contacting humans, wanting to take all, killing intent arises, causing trouble, humans realize demon and plot expulsion. Treatment differs from other demons, as others live on land, fish/turtles in water. Use: Sulfur (Sulfur) several liang, ground, decocted. Sprinkle in patient's room/house, burn occasionally, filling air with scent; it shrinks fearing entry. Also use Atractylodes Lancea Rhizome (Rhizoma Atractylodis Lanceae) 1 liang, Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome (Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae) 2 liang, decocted, taken daily by patient. Mix dregs of these two with Sulfur, boil/fume patient's clothes/bedding, forever cutting traces.
Er Zhu (Two Atractylodes) are Pure Yang Qi, most hated by demons, especially with Sulfur (antagonistic), how not fear avoidance?
This condition can also be treated effectively with Yuanxie Bing (Expel Evil Cake): Pepper (Piper Nigrum) (4 liang), Dried Ginger (Rhizoma Zingiberis Preparatum) (1 jin), Stir-fried Atractylodes Lancea Rhizome (Rhizoma Atractylodis Lanceae) (1 jin), ground into powder, take Reed Firewood ash, mix into cakes, burn in room for fumigation, traces cease in three days. If no reed firewood, charcoal powder is also good.
