At a distance of 1.5 cun lateral to the midline of the back (Du Meridian), at the spinous process of the first thoracic vertebra are Dazhu (BL11) and Fengmen (BL12). At the spinous process of the third thoracic vertebra is Feishu (BL13), at the fourth is Jueyinshu (BL14), and at the fifth is Xinshu (BL15). At the sixth thoracic vertebra is Duyu (BL16), and at the seventh is Geshushu (BL17). Dachangshu (BL25) and Guanyuanshu (BL26) are located on both sides of the sixteenth and seventeenth thoracic vertebrae. Xiaochangshu (BL27) is below the eighteenth thoracic vertebra, and Pangguangshu (BL28) is below the nineteenth. Zhonglunei Shu (BL29) is below the twentieth, and Baihuan Shu (BL30) is below the twenty-first. Shangliao (BL31), Ciliao (BL32), and Xialiao (BL33) are located in the first, second, and third sacral foramina respectively, adjacent to the lumbosacral angle. These constitute the two rows of acupoints on the back; additionally, Huiyang (GV1) is located beside the coccyx.
Three cun lateral to the spine, at the spinous process of the second thoracic vertebra is Fufen (BL17). Po Hu (BL42) is taken below the third thoracic vertebra, and Gaohuang (BL43) is located three fen below the fourth thoracic vertebra. Shen Tang (BL44) is at the fifth thoracic vertebra, and Yixi (BL45) is at the sixth. Baohuang (BL54) is taken at the nineteenth vertebra, and Zhibian (BL54) ends at the twentieth vertebra.
Behind the mandibular angle is Tianrong (SI17); above the clavicular fossa (Quepen) is Tiannou (SI16). Below Wanggu (GB12) and above the hairline, behind Tianzhu (BL10), is Tianrong (SI17). Tianchuang (SI16) is located at the large tendon of the neck (posterior border of sternocleidomastoid). Shuitu (ST10) is below Renying (ST9), and Qishe (ST11) is beside Tiantu (CV22).
Tiantu (CV22) is in the depression below the larynx. Xuanji (CV15) is found one cun below Tiantu. One cun below Xuanji is Huagai (CV19); one cun and six fen below Huagai is Ziping (CV18). Yutang (CV17) is one cun and six fen below Ziping; Danzhong (CV17) is located between the two nipples. Zhongting (CV16) is one cun and six fen below Danzhong. The intervals for these points along the anterior midline are each one cun and six fen.
Two cun lateral to Xuanji (CV15), below Juque (CV14), is Shufu (KI27). One cun and six fen below Shufu is Zhongfu (LU1) [Note: Textual discrepancy noted, usually Shufu lateral is not Zhongfu directly, but translating as per source text structure], and one cun and six fen below Zhongfu is Shencang (KI15). One cun and six fen below Shencang is Lingxu (KI16); one cun and six fen below Lingxu is Shenfeng (KI17). One cun and six fen below Shenfeng is Bulang (KI18). Thus end the two rows of acupoints on the chest's medial aspect.
Searching two cun lateral to Shufu (KI27) yields Qihu (KI14), which governs the chest and lapel. Kufang (ST15), Wuyi (ST16), and Yingchuang (ST17) are all accurately located one cun and six fen from the anterior midline. Ruzhong (RN17) is exactly at the nipple; Rugen (ST18) is six fen below the nipple.
Two cun lateral to Qihu (KI14), below Jugu (LI16), is Yunmen (LU2). One cun below Yunmen is Zhongfu (LU1). Zhongrong (SP16) is located one cun and six fen below Yunmen. Xiangxiang (ST19), Tianxi (ST20), and Shidou (ST21) are each spaced one cun and six fen apart downwards.
Yuan Ye (GB26) is named so at three cun under the axilla; Zhejin (GB25) is one cun in front of the axilla. Tianchi (PC1) is one cun behind the nipple, and Dabao (SP21) is truly located six cun under the axilla.
