The *Huangdi Neijing* (Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon) states: If a person falls from a height, evil blood (stasis) remains in the abdomen, causing abdominal fullness and inability to pass stool or urine. One should first administer purgative medicines. If there is injury to the Jueyin meridian vessels above and below (text missing), treat the left side by needling the right, and the right side by needling the left. A firm and strong pulse indicates survival; a small and weak pulse indicates death.
For diseases caused by various evils leading to mania and madness, there are thirteen acupuncture points that must be recognized. When performing needling, first needle the Guigong point, then the Guixin point, and no treatment will fail. Seek them one by one from the beginning: The third point is under the nail of the big toe on the foot, named Guilèi, inserted two fen; the fourth point is Daling on the palm, inserted five fen, named Guixin; the fifth point is Shenmai, named Guilu; the sixth point is Fengfu, named Guizhen; the seventh point is Jiache, named Guichuang; the eighth point is Chengjiang, named Guishi, remember to insert from the left and exit to the right; the ninth point is Laogong, named Gui Ku; the tenth point is Shangxing, named Guitang; the eleventh point involves three moxa cones at the perineal suture, and for women, the Yumen tou (clitoris/prepuce area) is Guicang; the twelfth point is Quchi, named Guitui, using fire needle still requires seven moxa cones; the thirteenth point is in the center of the tongue, this point is named Guifeng. Needle opposite points on both hands and feet; if encountering an isolated point, needle only the single side. This is the true secret of the ancestors, making manic evil ghosts disappear without a trace.
1. The first point, Guigong, is Renzhong (GV26), inserted three fen.
2. The second point, Guixin, is Shaoshang (LU11), inserted three fen.
3. The third point, Guilèi, is Yinbai (SP1), inserted two fen.
4. The fourth point, Guixin, is Daling (PC7), inserted five fen.
5. The fifth point, Guilu, is Shenmai (BL62) (use large needle), inserted three fen.
6. The sixth point, Guizhen, is Fengfu (GV16), inserted two fen.
7. The seventh point, Guichuang, is Jiache (ST6), inserted five fen.
8. The eighth point, Guishi, is Chengjiang (CV24), inserted three fen.
9. The ninth point, Gui Ku, is Laogong (PC8), inserted two fen.
10. The tenth point, Guitang, is Shangxing (GV23), inserted two fen.
11. The eleventh point, Guicang, is Huiyin (CV1) for men, and Yumen tou for women, inserted three fen.
12. The twelfth point, Guitui, is Quchi (LI11) (fire needle), inserted five fen.
13. The thirteenth point, Guifeng, is located in the midline seam under the tongue. Prick to bleed, then place a needle horizontally between the corners of the mouth to immobilize the tongue. This method is very effective.
Adding the points Jianshi (PC5) and Houxi (SI3) is especially wonderful.
For men, start needling on the left side; for women, start on the right side. Odd days are Yang, even days are Yin. On Yang days and Yang hours, rotate the needle clockwise; on Yin days and Yin hours... (text ends abruptly)
