The Well point Dazhun (LR1) of the Liver meridian belongs to Wood. It is located at the tip of the great toe, about the width of a leek leaf from the corner of the nail and within the tuft of hair. It is the source point where the Foot-Jueyin Liver meridian Qi emerges, classified as a Well point. Needle depth: 3 fen; retain needle for 10 breaths; moxibustion: 3 moxa cones.
Xingjian (LR2) belongs to Fire. It is located in the depression between the first and second toes, where the arterial pulse can be felt. It is where the Foot-Jueyin Liver meridian Qi flows, classified as a Ying-Spring point. Needle depth: 6 fen; retain needle for 10 breaths; moxibustion: 3 moxa cones.
Taichong (LR3) belongs to Earth. It is located 2 cun posterior to the metatarsophalangeal joint of the great toe, or alternatively 1.5 cun in the depression. It is where the Foot-Jueyin Liver meridian Qi pours, classified as a Shu-Stream point. Needle depth: 3 fen; retain needle for 10 breaths; moxibustion: 3 moxa cones. (Note from *Suwen* on "Needling Lumbar Pain": Located 2 cun posterior-medial to the metatarsophalangeal joint of the great toe, with an palpable arterial pulse.)
Zhongfeng (LR4) belongs to Metal. It is located 1 cun anterior to the medial malleolus. With the foot dorsiflexed, it is found in the depression; extending the foot reveals it. It is where the Foot-Jueyin Liver meridian Qi passes through, classified as a Jing-River point. Needle depth: 4 fen; retain needle for 7 breaths; moxibustion: 3 moxa cones. (Note from *Suwen* on "Qi Acupoints": Located 1.5 cun anterior to the medial malleolus.)
Ligou (LR5) is the Luo-Connecting point of the Foot-Jueyin Liver meridian. It is located 5 cun above the medial malleolus, diverging to connect with the Shaoyang meridian. Needle depth: 2 fen; retain needle for 3 breaths; moxibustion: 3 moxa cones.
Zhongdu (LR6) is the Xi-Cleft point of the Foot-Jueyin Liver meridian. It is located 7 cun above the medial malleolus on the tibia, directly opposite the Foot-Shaoyin Kidney meridian. Needle depth: 3 fen; retain needle for 6 breaths; moxibustion: 5 moxa cones.
Xiguan (LR7) is located 2 cun below Dubi (ST35) in the depression. It is where the Qi of the Foot-Jueyin Liver meridian manifests. Needle depth: 4 fen; moxibustion: 5 moxa cones.
Ququan (LR8) belongs to Water. It is located below the medial condyle of the tibia, above the large tendon and below the small tendon, in the depression. It is obtained by flexing the knee. It is where the Yin Qi of the Foot-Jueyin Liver meridian enters and combines, classified as a He-Sea point. Needle depth: 6 fen; retain needle for 10 breaths; moxibustion: 3 moxa cones.
Yinbao (LR9) is located 4 cun above the knee, between two tendons on the medial aspect of the thigh. It is a branch of the Foot-Jueyin Liver meridian diverging [text missing here]. Needle depth: 6 fen; moxibustion: 3 moxa cones.
Wuli (LR10) is located below Yinlian (LR11), 3 cun away from Qichong (ST30), in the arterial pulse of the medial thigh. Needle depth: 6 fen; moxibustion: 5 moxa cones. (*Waitai Miyao* records it as 3 cun from Qichong and 2 cun from Yinlian.)
Yinlian (LR11) is located below the inguinal ligament area (referred to as "sheep testicle"), 2 cun away from Qichong (ST30), in the arterial pulse. Needle depth: 8 fen; moxibustion: 3 moxa cones.
