To rotate the needle clockwise (Shun Yao) dozens of times, then extend and pause; to rotate horizontally seven times to support the needle. Add rubbing (Cuo Cuo) to raise Yang; urgent tonification with horizontal rotation immediately eliminates vomiting. If extending, lifting, and horizontal rotation are taken seven times, and raising, extending, lifting Qi, and inducing vomiting are employed; if seven inductions of vomiting are required, one must understand the numerical principles of vomiting, purging, and raising Yin.

Clockwise rotation to raise Yang requires adding rubbing; added rotation and clockwise rotation obtain harmonious heat. Add the method of lowering Qi by extending and lifting; when testing extension and lifting, the shouting sound increases. If brain heat prevents vomiting, add several sessions of raising Yang tonification again. Take the method of rising Qi to raise Yang; urgently withdraw the needle, and after a few breaths, vomiting occurs.

For cold damage with fever, sweating methods are needed; entering and exiting the Four Gates (Si Guan) determines auspiciousness or inauspiciousness. If heat persists, bloodletting is required; multiple plucking and tapping at four or six points achieve the effect of drawing blood. Stopping breathing during bloodletting is truly miraculous; afterwards, using the Guan Zhong point to raise Yang is necessary. Raising Yang often employs pressing and lifting methods; cold damage febrile diseases naturally subside and cool down.

In men with Yin syndrome, the ten fingers turn cyan; bilateral Lanmen points are used for circular grasping to circulate heat; Dantian is one point for circular grasping to collect Qi; three points stop breathing and rub until heat is pure. Again, take two points of Zusanli to raise Yang; Lanmen and Dantian circular grasping and collecting are balanced. No matter the pain, it will cease; urgently use sweating regulation to induce frequent perspiration.

In women with Yin syndrome, the ten fingers are cold; Zhongji and Lanmen moxibustion and acupuncture bring peace. Urgently rub these two points using the circular grasping method; as Qi enters, Yang and heat steam. Return to this point to raise Yang and collect Qi; Zusanli raises Yin with precise intent. Again, use Zusanli to raise Yang; stopping breathing calms internal heat and stabilizes the disease.

For deficient persons, do not follow the seven-time tonification; lift halfway from the point and move upward. Lightly scrape seven times and add rubbing and trembling; trembling uses heavy pressing, making the needle sensation clear.

If the three-time tonification method fails to lift, use extending, lifting, circling, scraping, and trembling to achieve merit. Again, take the needle and lift upward to collect; Qi flows naturally, and the disease cannot attack.

Raise Yang twice using rising Qi; again, use rising Qi with rubbing and stroking. When raised, use the raising Yang method; ask about the disease, if there is heat, stop breathing and exhale. Again, take raising Yang one or two times; shake and rotate leftward, circling many times. When Qi lowers, it resonates with the raising Yang method; continuous lifting, trembling, and pressing produce a harmonious sound.

Rubbing and rubbing, Qi needs to rise Yang; urgently use lowering Yin, Qi descends well. Again, take lifting and rubbing to rise again; pausing stops distension, and health returns naturally. Clockwise rotation, plucking, rubbing, and adding trembling; Qi rises, Yin lowers, lifting expands naturally. Again, make lifting unable to extract; lowering Yin continuously downward brings peace and health.
