When fecal impaction prevents passage and Qi rebels upward, the ZhiGou (TE5) acupoint exerts its merit. The ZuSanLi (ST36) moves Qi, combined with ZhaoHai (KI6). Apply ShengYang (Raising Yang) manipulation, followed by rubbing until the skin loosens; the needle head stays at the dermal layer, distension naturally dissipates, and the abdomen empties. To achieve harmony, extend and lift the point; even if stools are hard, they will pass naturally.
For lower abdominal fullness, Qi must be descended. After a hundred breaths, Qi descends and relaxes naturally. NeiTing (ST44) and ZuSanLi (ST36) regulate the Great Qi; horizontal needling on both sides is effective. If Dantian is regulated using the DaPanChai (Large Plate Split) technique, ten consecutive SheNa (Absorbing/Grasping) manipulations facilitate urination. If distension and hardness persist, how to proceed? Without stopping the needle but changing the method, the effect differs.
For unilateral pain of the Seven Types of Hernia, select DaDun (LR1). Bleed DaDun using the TanZhen (Plucking Needle) technique. For QuGu (CV2), use DaPanChai without SheNa. SanYinJiao (SP6) raises Yang Qi upward. Then take QiChong (ST30) to direct Qi downward. GuanYuan (CV4) and QiHai (CV6) utilize PanMing (Plate Brightening) techniques. ShenMai (BL62) uses slight ShangQi (Ascending Qi) methods; continuous knee flexion directs Qi downward, bringing peace to the illness.
For whole-body pain, apply ShengYang (Raising Yang); carefully observe the lifting and rubbing of Qi. For tendon pain, sweating methods are suitable; moxa GuoHuang (BL43) extensively, avoiding needles is better. Additionally, consider ZuSanLi (ST36) and XingJian (LR2); these two points raise Yang and busy the ascending Qi. Then use SanYinJiao (SP6) to direct Qi downward; in an instant, both conditions heal.
LaoGong (PC8) treats Heart Wind; heat in the hands attacks downward Qi. DaLing (PC7) raises Yang and restores descending Qi; ZuSanLi (ST36) raises Yin and unblocks descending Qi. Moxa DanZhong (CV17) for five units, apply seven sedations. Pain in the heart region occurs during breathing. After thirty breaths, withdraw the needle to tonify; in an instant, divine efficacy appears for both conditions.
For healthy individuals, techniques involve ShengYang (Raising Yang); lower points raise Yang, upper points bring health. Stop respiration at lower points for ten counts (Wei Sou); upper points raise Yang Qi upwards. Add rubbing and multiple grasping manipulations. When ill, hands become hot and sweat profusely. Urgently apply ShengYang plus rubbing and twisting; when sweat appears, the condition resolves.
ZuSanLi (ST36) raises Yang repeatedly; Qi ascends urgently, then raises Yang again. Yang movement is urgent, then pause for breathing; trembling, lifting, grasping, trembling, and bustling. Add trembling manipulations a hundred times; body numbness heals. If body numbness persists, continuously apply QiXia (Descending Qi) methods for regulation.
For upper pain, needle lower points with ShengYang (Raising Yang); further apply ShengYang to the painful area. Urgently apply ShengYang to reach the pain site; continuously apply QiXia (Descending Qi) so pain heals completely. For men, left-sided pain is treated by bleeding the right side; for women, right-sided pain is treated by bleeding the left side. This defines the bloodletting method; selecting multiple points requires circular circulation.
