On Ping days (Level days), the Spirit of Man is in the back; treatment is prohibited at Ding time (Ren Ding). On Ding days (Stability days), the Spirit of Man is in the heart. On Shou days (Gathering days), the Spirit of Man is in the head; treatment is prohibited in the middle of the Yin hour. On Kai days (Opening days), the Spirit of Man is in the ears; treatment is prohibited at Wu time. On Bi days (Closing days), the Spirit of Man is in the eyes; treatment is prohibited when sunlight is shining.
Zi is at the ankle; Chou at the head; Yin at the ears; Mao at the face; Wu at the chest; Wei at the abdomen; Shen at the heart; You at the back; Chen at the neck; Si at the breast; Hai at the thigh; Xu at the waist.
At ages one, thirteen, twenty-five, thirty-seven, forty-nine, sixty-one, seventy-three, and eighty-five, the Spirit of Man is in the heart.
At ages two, fourteen, twenty-six, thirty-eight, fifty, sixty-two, seventy-four, and eighty-six, the Spirit of Man is in the throat.
At ages three, fifteen, twenty-seven, thirty-nine, fifty-one, sixty-three, seventy-five, and eighty-seven, the Spirit of Man is in the head.
At ages four, sixteen, twenty-eight, forty, fifty-two, sixty-four, seventy-six, and eighty-eight, the Spirit of Man is in the neck.
At ages five, seventeen, twenty-nine, forty-one, fifty-three, sixty-five, seventy-seven, and eighty-nine, the Spirit of Man is in the back.
