**Twelve Acupoints on the Left and Right of the Third Row in Prone Position**
Linqi (GB15) [Xuanliao, Gallbladder 15]. Located in the depression 0.5 cun directly above the eye, entering the hairline. Needle 0.3 cun. Retain needle for seven breaths. Discharge immediately upon obtaining Deqi (arrival of qi). Taboos are the same as mentioned previously. The *Suwen* commentary states: Moxibustion five moxa cones. There is a Linqi acupoint on the Foot-Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian; this one also exists. This is likely the Toulinqi (Head Linqi) acupoint.
Muchuang (GB16) [Eye Window]. One cun posterior to Linqi. Needle 0.3 cun. Moxibustion five moxa cones. Now appended. After three punctures, the eyes become bright and clear.
Zhengying (GB17) [Upright Camp]. One cun posterior to Muchuang. Needle 0.3 cun. Moxibustion five moxa cones.
Chengling (GB19) [Receiving Spirit]. One and a half cun posterior to Zhengying. Moxibustion three moxa cones. The *Suwen* commentary states: Needle 0.3 cun.
Naokong (GB12) [Brain Empty]. Also known as Nairu (temporal region). One and a half cun posterior to Chengling. In the depression below the Yuzhen bone, flanking it. Needle 0.5 cun. Discharge immediately upon obtaining Deqi. Moxibustion three moxa cones. Cao Cao suffered from head wind (cephalalgia due to wind); upon onset, he felt chaotic and dizzy. Hua Tuo needled this point, and he was cured immediately. Taboos are the same as mentioned previously. The *Suwen* commentary states: Palpating Naokong, it is located behind Wanggu and above the occipital bone. The *Jiayi Jing* records it as within the Yuzhen bone.
Fengchi (GB20) [Wind Pool]. In the depression at the hairline posterior to Naokong. Needle 0.7 cun. Retain needle for seven breaths. Moxibustion three moxa cones. Wang Ming states it is in the depression at the nape hairline. The *Jiayi Jing* states: In the depression at the hairline posterior to Naokong. Needle 1.2 cun. For severe wind conditions, tonify first then discharge; for mild cases, take points according to the meridian. Retain needle for five breaths, discharge over seven inhalations. Moxibustion is less effective than needling. Moxa seven cones daily up to 105 cones. Do not use large moxa cones. Taboos are the same as mentioned previously.
Dangyang (EX-HN4) [Direct Sun]. One cun above the glabella, entering the hairline, for children. Treats sudden loss of consciousness (inability to recognize people), wind dizziness, and nasal congestion. Needle 0.3 cun. (From *Mingtang*, Vol. II)
The *Tongren* diagram does not list Dangyang, but it appears in the *Mingtang Xiajing*. For conditions such as sudden loss of consciousness, wind dizziness, and nasal congestion, these points should not be discarded. This point corresponds to Lin...
**Twenty-six Acupoints on the Left and Right of the Lateral Head**
Hanyan (GB7) [Lower Jaw Satisfaction]. Below Quzhou (the Foot-Shaoyang acupoints do not have "below"; *Mingtang* is the same). At the upper border of Naokong. Moxibustion three moxa cones. Needle 0.7 cun. Retain needle for seven breaths. Taboos are the same as mentioned previously. Wang Ming states: 0.2 cun. The *Suwen* commentary states: Below the qujiao (curved angle), above Naokong, at the upper border. If needled too deeply, it causes deafness.
Xuanlu (GB5) [Suspended Skull]. Above Quzhou (Foot-Shaoyang acupoints are the same; *Mingtang* lacks "above"). In the middle of Naokong. Moxibustion three moxa cones. Needle 0.3 cun. Retain needle for three breaths. Wang Ming states: 0.2 cun. The *Suwen* commentary states: Above the qujiao, at the lower border of Naokong. The New Correction states: According to the Hand-Shaoyang section later, it says "above the angle," here it says "below the angle." One must be incorrect. (It is correct that Xuanlu two points are above the qujiao.)
Xuanli (GB6) [Suspended Tip]. Above Quzhou (Foot-Shaoyang acupoints lack "above"). At the lower border of Naokong. Needle 0.3 cun. Moxibustion three moxa cones.
Tianchong (GB18) [Heavenly Rush]. Above the ear, three cun anteriorly (Foot-Shaoyang acupoints are the same). Moxibustion seven moxa cones. Needle 0.3 cun.
Shuai Gu (GB8) [Hair Valley]. Above the ear, in the depression 1.5 cun into the hairline. Moxibustion three moxa cones. Needle 0.3 cun. Wang Ming, Vol. II states: Take the point while chewing.
Qubin (GB7 - Note: Text implies GB7 location description but names Qubin which is ST7 usually, or refers to specific historical variation. Based on text: "Qu bin"). In the depression at the curved corner of the hairline above the ear. There is a gap when moving the jaw (*Mingtang* writes "acupoint"). Needle 0.3 cun. Moxibustion seven moxa cones. Wang Ming, Vol. II states: Qufa point moxibustion three moxa cones. (*Zhi Mi* states: Above the ear, covering the front sharp tip with the ear.)
*Tongren* states: Qubin is the same as the Foot-Shaoyang acupoint. *Suwen* is also the same. *Mingtang Xiajing* states: Qufa. Suspect the character "fa" is an error. (Qubin acupoint is correct; Qufa characters are erroneous.)
Jiaosun (SJ20) [Corner Sun]. Above the middle of the auricle. There is a gap when opening the mouth (*Mingtang* writes "acupoint"). Treats leukoma (corneal opacity) and gingival swelling. Moxibustion three moxa cones. *Mingtang* has no other treatment methods. Wang Ming states: Mainly treats teeth unable to chew food, dental caries pain, and swelling. Needle 0.8 cun.
According to *Mingtang*, Jiaosun mainly treats teeth unable to chew food, dental caries pain, and swelling, so there are treatment methods. *Tongren* claims: *Mingtang* has no treatment methods. Could this be added by later generations? Perhaps the treated conditions were only these, hence called "no treatment methods"?
Qiaoyin (GB11 - Note: Text distinguishes from Foot Shaoyang Qiaoyin, calling it Head Qiaoyin). Below the occipital bone (Foot-Shaoyang states: Above Wanggu). There is a gap when shaking the head. Needle 0.3 cun. Moxibustion seven moxa cones. Wang Ming states: Five moxa cones. Needle 0.4 cun. Located above Wanggu, below the occipital bone. (Wangu two points are behind the ear, 0.4 cun into the hairline.)
There is Qiaoyin here. The Foot-Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian also has this acupoint. This should be referred to as Touqiaoyin (Head Qiaoyin).
Fubai (GB13) [Floating White]. Behind the ear, one cun into the hairline. Needle 0.5 cun. Moxibustion seven moxa cones. Wang Ming states: Three moxa cones. Needle 0.3 cun.
Luxi (SJ3) [Skull Rest]. Between the blue collateral vessels behind the ear. Moxibustion seven moxa cones. Not suitable for needling. Wang Ming states: Luxi is between the blue veins behind the ear. Moxibustion three moxa cones. Needle 0.1 cun. Do not bleed excessively. Excessive bleeding can cause death.
Mai (EX-HN5 - Zimai) [Vessel]. Also known as Zimai. In the chicken-foot-shaped blue collateral vessels behind the ear root. Puncture to bleed like bean curd residue size. Do not bleed excessively. Moxibustion three moxa cones. Needle 0.1 cun. Wang Ming states: In the chicken-foot-shaped blue veins inside the ear.
Wangu (GB12) [Complete Bone]. Behind the ear, 0.4 cun into the hairline. Moxibustion seven moxa cones. Needle 0.3 cun. Wang Ming states: 0.2 cun. Moxibustion cone count depends on age.
Yifeng (SJ17) [Wind Screen]. In the depression behind the ear. Pressing draws sensation into the ear. Needle 0.7 cun. Moxibustion seven moxa cones. Wang Ming, Vol. II states: Three moxa cones. Located at the sharp angle behind the ear...
