The *Suwen* discusses headache, attributing its origin to severe cold penetrating into the bone marrow. Therefore, does Head Wind also originate from wind-cold invading the brain marrow? The *Benshi Fang* discusses women suffering from Head Wind leading to baldness. To moxa-treat Head Wind, one should first moxa points such as Xinhui, Baihui, and Qian Ding. For those whose Head Wind involves eye pain, one should moxa points such as Shangxing, Shencong, and Hou Ding. I have personally verified this through self-moxibustion, and teaching others to do so has also proven effective.
The *Benshi Fang* states: Lower deficiency refers to Kidney deficiency. Kidney Jue leads to headache; Yuzhen Wan is suitable. Upper deficiency refers to Liver deficiency. Liver Jue leads to dizziness; Gouteng San is suitable.
