I once traveled to Kuaiji. I read books at dawn and did not eat until Chen hour (7-9 AM). After a long time, I suffered from dry eyes. Upon returning home from my weary travels, a roommate gave me salt essence. Rubbing the eyes with it several times cured the ailment. If salt essence is so effective, then green salt's ability to treat eye diseases is indeed confirmed. Ancient prescriptions used green salt for brushing teeth. Thus, cupping green salt in the hand to wash the eyes makes them bright.
