*Zhenjiu Juying* (Gathered Essentials of Acupuncture and Moxibustion)
Drawing extensively to distill the essence, compiling concisely while discarding complexity. Summarizing the content of *Yulong Fu* (Jade Dragon Ode) into a rhythmic verse, affirming that the art of golden needles is worthy of discussion.
Initially, for sudden apoplexy (stroke), the Baihui (DU20) point at the vertex should be selected. The Rugen (ST12) and Yufu (BL23) points treat qi-reversal cough and phlegm-wheezing asthma. Fengshi (GB31) and Yinshi (ST89) drive away weakness in the legs and feet. Yinlingquan (SP9) and Yanglingquan (GB34) eliminate unbearable knee swelling. Erbai (EX-LE5) treats hemorrhoids with wonderful efficacy. Jianshi (PC5) treats malaria with significant results. Gao Shuodun (a historical figure) used this method to treat hernia. Gaohuang (BL43) tonifies deficiency and consumptive disorders. Tianjing (TE10) treats scrofula (lymphatic tuberculosis) and urticaria. Shenmen (HT7) treats epilepsy and dementia. For cough accompanied by wind-phlegm, needling Taiyuan (LU9) and Lieque (LU7) is suitable. For emaciation and rapid breathing, one should understand the functions of Xuanji (CV15) and Qihai (CV6). Qimen (LR14) and Dazhun (LR14 - *Note: Text likely implies LR14 Qimen and LR1 Dazhun or similar combination for hardness/hernia*) treat hard accumulations and hernia. Laogong (PC8) and Tailing (PC7) treat heart distress and skin sores. For palpitations with empty irritability, needling Zusanli (ST36) is indicated. For epidemic diseases and malaria, seek Houxi (SI3). Jiegu (GB39), Zusanli (ST36), and Sanyinjiao (SP6) are suitable for treating beriberi (jiaoji). Jingming (BL1), Taiyang (EX-HN5), and Yuwei (Tongziliao BL1) are relied upon for eye disorders. For the elderly with frequent urination, moxibustion on Mingmen (DU4) combined with Shenshu (BL23) is appropriate. For women with breast swelling, pushing Shaose (SI15) combined with Taiyang (EX-HN5) can resolve it. Shenzhu (DU12) eliminates cough and back pain. Zhiyang (DU9) resolves jaundice. It effectively treats mental fatigue. Moxibustion on Changqiang (DU1) and Chengshan (BL57) is most excellent for hemorrhoids. Fenglong (ST40) combined with Lung meridian points is miraculous for phlegm-cough. Fengmen (BL12) governs coughs caused by cold pathogen invasion. Tianshu (ST25) regulates critical cases of spleen-deficiency diarrhea due to internal injury. Fengchi (GB20) and Jiegu (GB39) treat stooping deformity. Renge (DU26) and Quchi (LI11) treat collapse and flaccidity. Needling Qimen (LR14) treats unresolved shaoyang taiyang syndrome where the disease does not transmit further. Needle insertion into Jiutui (CV15) treats active epilepsy; caution must be taken against reckless application. Yinjiao (RN7), Shuidao (ST28), and Zusanli (ST36) are suitable for needling in gu-zhang (abdominal distension with fluid accumulation). (Alternatively, moxa on Shuifen CV9). Shangqiu (SP5) and Qiuxu (GB40) can chase away foot pain. ChiZE (LU5) regulates tendon stiffness and immobility. Wanggu (SI4) treats difficulty in moving the wrist. For shoulder and spine pain, Wushu (GB27) combined with Beifeng (an extra point located at the end of the shoulder bone, directly opposite the tip of the axillary fold, needle 2 cun). For elbow contracture and pain, ChiZe (LU5) is combined with Quchi (LI11). When wind-dampness combats both shoulders, Jianjing (GB21) can treat it. When heat toxicity is abundant in the Sanjiao (Triple Burner), Guanchong (TE1) is most suitable. For redness and swelling of the arms, Zhongzhu (TE3) and Yemen (TE2) require differentiation. For spleen-deficiency jaundice, what doubt is there regarding Wanggu (SI4) and Zhongwan (CV12)? For shaoyang syndrome without sweating, attacking the pathogen requires draining Fuliou (KI7). For shaoyang syndrome with sweating, selecting Hegu (LI4) should follow the syndrome. To regulate qi rebellion from fullness, Zusanli (ST36) can prevail. To revive sunken and hidden six pulses, Fuliou (KI7) is miraculous. Zhaohai (KI6) and Zhigou (TE6) unblock constipation. Neiting (ST44) and Zulinqi (GB41) regulate abdominal pain. Tiantu (CV22) and Danzhong (CV17) treat wheezing and cough. Dicang (ST4) and Jiache (ST6) treat facial paralysis (mouth deviation). Yingxiang (LI20) is best for attacking nasal obstruction. Jianjing (GB21) relieves arm pain that is difficult to lift. Erjian (LI2) treats toothache. Zhongkui (EX-UE9) regulates fanwei (vomiting/regurgitation) leading to immediate recovery. Bailao (EX-UE11) stops spontaneous sweating. Tongli (HT5) treats heart palpitations leading to immediate healing. Da Xiaogu Kong (Extra points) treat eye erosion and stop cold tearing. Left and Right Taiyang (EX-HN5) treat eye pain and remove blood nebulae. Xinshu (BL15) and Shenshu (BL23) treat dream emission caused by kidney and heart deficiency. Renge (DU26) and Weizhong (BL40) eliminate uncontrollable back and spine pain from sprains. Kunlun (BL60) and Shenmai (BL62) best treat foot swelling. Yongquan (KI1), Guanyuan (CV4), and Fenglong (ST40) serve as examples for treating shilao (corpse-labor/consumption). Yintang (EX-HN3) treats convulsions. Shenting (GV24) specializes in treating head wind. Frequently draining Taoling (PC7) and Renge (DU26) completely removes bad breath. Moxibustion on Daimai (GB26) and Guanyuan (CV4) attacks kidney exhaustion. For heavy and painful legs, needling Huagu (GB30? *Text says Huagu*, likely referring to hip region points like Huantiao GB31 or specific local points), Xiguan (EX-LE8), and Xiyan (EX-LE7). For difficult and painful walking, moxa on Zusanli (ST36), Zhongfeng (SP4), and Taichong (LR3). Select Neiguan (PC6) and Zhaohai (KI6) to treat abdominal masses/pain. Inserting Yingxiang (LI20) into the nose reduces redness and heat in the eyes. For abdominal pain and constipation, Taoling (PC7) combines with Waiguan (TE5) and Zhigou (TE6). For leg wind-damp pain, Juliao (GB29) combines with Huantiao (GB30) and Weizhong (BL40). Shangwan (CV13) and Zhongwan (CV12) treat nine types of heart pain. For red and white leukorrhea, seek the differences in Zhongji (CV3). Furthermore, for heart-deficiency heat congestion, Shaochong (HT9) clarifies emergency rescue methods. For blurred vision and blood overflow, Ganshu (BL18) distinguishes excess and deficiency. Admiring the subtle methods passed down by heart transmission, investigating the speed and slowness of needle manipulation. If encountering sprain and pain, these are difficult-to-prescribe points. Compiling personal insights for easier reading, hoping that experts will not disdain them.
