Redness, swelling, and pain characterize Ru Yong (Breast Abscess). This condition occurs in both men and women. Use equal parts of Chao Baizhi (Stir-baked Angelicae Dahuricae Radix), Zhi Ruxiang (Processed Frankincense), Zhi Moyao (Processed Myrrh) (processing method see Yao Wu Bei Yao Men), Zhe Beimu (Zhejiang Fritillaria Bulb), and Danggui Shen (Radix Angelicae Sinensis Root Tip). Grind into powder. Take 5 qian per dose, delivered with wine. One dose completely resolves the condition. If already ulcerated, use Xingxiao Wan (Revive and Eliminate Pill), delivered with one dose of wine to stop pain, and externally apply Dongtian Gao (Cave Heaven Plaster), which will heal spontaneously. If the color is white, treat according to the methods for Liuzhu (Flowing Deposit). If the ulceration is unbearable, administer Dongtian Jiuku Dan (Cave Heaven Saving Pain Pill) according to the method. After seven days, follow up with Dazao Wan (Jujube Pill) to conclude treatment. This is a secret method of Linwu Shanren. See Yong Du Men (Carbuncle and Toxin Section) for Xingxiao Wan and other formulas.
Another prescription: Fresh Pugongying (Dandelion Herb), mash and mix with wine for oral administration; apply the dregs to the breast. Sleep briefly. Several applications lead to recovery. This is the holy medicine for Ru Yong, repeatedly demonstrating miraculous effects; do not underestimate it.
Another prescription: Take one bucket of water drained from tofu making on the table in a tofu shop. Boil in a pot until dry to form a paste. Allow to cool to remove heat energy. Apply thickly to the affected area. Reapply when dry. Lumps on the breast will naturally dissipate. Five to seven applications are certain to cure. Repeatedly tested with divine efficacy. Someone borrowed five hundred gold coins and lacked the ability to repay, so they gifted this efficacious prescription. Subsequent trials proved effective. It is known as the "Five Hundred Gold Prescription." Although this prescription treats Ru Yong, since it states that lumps on the breast dissolve spontaneously, Ru Yan (Breast Cancer) might also be treatable.
Another prescription: Also treats Ru Chui (Blowing Milk / Mastitis due to milk stasis). Scallions with roots, mashed and applied to the site. Cover the scallions with a clay jar containing charcoal fire. Steam until hot and sweating occurs within an hour, leading to recovery. Stable and divinely effective.
Willow root, scrape off the bark, mash, steam hot, wrap in cloth, and apply as a compress. Replace immediately when cold. Recovery after one night. This is from Sun Taizhen's *Qianjin Fang* (Prescriptions Worth a Thousand Gold).
Treat according to the Earthworm Prescription for Da Tou Wen (Big Head Plague) in Volume 15, Epidemic Diseases Section. The effect is like magic.
Shrimp paste, steam hot with good vinegar, and apply. For cases where other medicines fail, this treatment yields miraculous results.
Use old thatch grass from the roof of a thatched house. Cut a bundle of tails, grind into powder. Add a small amount of Meihua Bingpian (Plum Blossom Borneol). Apply to the affected area. Cures.
Both men and women suffer from this condition. A small lump forms inside the breast. Initially bean-sized, gradually enlarging to block-sized or date-sized, or like a Go stone. No itching, no pain. After one year, or two to three years, it gradually becomes swollen, painful, foul-smelling, and ulcerates with deep holes. Some present initially as a hard, white, painful lump. This is Yin Ju (Yin Carbuncle), extremely dangerous and malignant, caused by grieving, worrying, hardship, and fright. Early treatment is urgent; delay makes it difficult to cure. At onset, use Xi Huang Wan (Rhino Horn Pill). Take 3 qian per dose, delivered with wine. Ten doses ensure complete recovery. Alternatively, use Yanghe Tang (Warming Yang Decoction) plus Tu Beimu (Earth Fritillaria Bulb) 5 qian, decoct and drink. Resolution in several days. If mistakenly applied with plasters, it will gradually swell, causing internal pulling pain. Treatment is then considered late. If skin color changes, recovery is difficult. Barely manage by taking Yanghe Tang daily, or Xi Huang Wan daily, or alternating the two medicines morning and evening. Continue until spontaneous rupture and pain relief. Externally, use six large Bufo (Toad Skin/Secretion). Take one each morning and evening. Cut open the belly, pierce multiple holes. Apply including the holes. If the sore everts like flowers, it is most tragic; survival is impossible. A woman suffered from Ru Yan in both breasts. For two years, the lumps were size of longan fruits. Never treated. Due to grief over her son's death, the swelling enlarged to cup-size. Use Wutong Xi Huang Wan, alternating morning and evening. Nine days later, completely resolved. Another man suffered from Ru Yan. He applied Jiyu Gao (Crucian Carp Plaster) for two days. The swelling became fist-sized and red. Instructed to remove it. Administered Yanghe Tang for four doses. If color turns white, rescue is possible; if still red, hopeless. Four days later, color remained red. Begged for treatment. Alternated Xi Huang Wan and Yanghe Tang. By the sixteenth day, all areas resolved except the sore head. Used Chan Baidu (Toad Detoxification) method. Recovered in half a month. Another woman suffered from Ru Yan, with severe chills, fever, and pain. I used Yanghe Tang combined with Erchen Tang (Two-Aged Phlegm Decoction), decocted and administered. Stopped pain, ensured sleep. Three doses led to complete recovery. Another woman had identical symptoms. Her brother administered Xiakucao (Prunella Spike), Fenhanhua (Glehnia Root), Lianqiao (Forsythia Fruit), and Juye (Tangerine Leaf) for five doses. She cried out in pain incessantly. I observed the white color had turned slightly red, making complete resolution difficult. I used Rougui (Cinnamon Bark), Paojiang (Prepared Ginger), and Mahuang (Ephedra Herb) added to Erchen Tang, decocted and administered. Pain stopped upon ingestion. The sore shrank. Continued for several doses. The sore apex ruptured without pain. Applied Yanghe Jiening Gao (Warming Yang Resolving Peace Plaster) to conclude treatment. This is the verified secret method of Linwu Shanren. See Yin Ju Men (Yin Carbuncle Section) for Xi Huang Wan and other formulas.
Another prescription: For those already ulcerated, use Dongtian Jiuku Dan (see Yong Du Various Formulas). Take 3 qian per dose, delivered with aged wine. One dose every two days. Several doses yield efficacy.
Another prescription: For early stage, use XiaKugcao (Prunella Spike), Pugongying (Dandelion Herb), Loulu (Rhaponticum Rhizome), Juye (Tangerine Leaf), Xiong Shufen (Male Rat Feces - those with pointed ends), Ganju (Chrysanthemum Flower), and Beimu (Fritillaria Bulb) in equal parts. Grind into powder. Deliver with wine. Divine efficacy.
