Treats injuries to muscles and bones, regardless of the meridians involved, stabilizing pain and resolving blood stasis with immediate miraculous effects. Use 24 white-headed earthworms (prepared with child's urine) and 3 stone crabs; soak and process them into pills the size of chess pieces.

Another prescription: For critical conditions where blood stasis attacks the heart after injury, causing imminent death, this formula yields miraculous results. Use Dragon's Blood (Daemonorops draco), Angelica sinensis root, soot from burning hair or cloth, frankincense, myrrh, cassia bark, and rhubarb; decoct in good wine and take orally.

Treats tetanus (a disease caused by wound infection leading to spasms), alternating chills and fever with convulsions, and pathogenic factors sinking inward. Use 8 taels of Atractylodes lancea rhizome, Scorpion, Dendrobium stem, Gastrodia elata tuber, Angelica sinensis root, roasted licorice root, Ligusticum wallichii rhizome, Schizonepeta spike, Saposhnikovia divaricata root, Ephedra stem, Asarum root, Aconitum carmichaelii lateral root (soaked in water, skin removed), Aconitum kusnezoffii root (soaked in water, skin and tip removed), and Polygonum multiflorum root, all in equal parts.

Grind calcined lime/mineral stone finely; mix with egg white to form a cake. Bake until cool, then grind finely again. Apply to wounds as needed.

Treats severe trauma from metal weapons, where muscles and bones are fractured and the patient is near death. Use Deer antler, Angelica sinensis root, Cistanche deserticola stem, Hematite (Yuyuliang), Cuscuta seed cake, Mantis ootheca, Purple quartz, Prepared Rehmannia root, White peony root, Ligusticum wallichii rhizome, Dried ginger, Raspberry fruit, Sour jujube seed, Schisandra berry, Amber, Poria sclerotium, all in equal parts. Grind into powder. Take with 3 slices of fresh ginger and 1 date.

Treats unceasing bleeding from severe injuries. Use 1 ounce each of Angelica dahurica root, Licorice root, and Dryopteris crassirhizoma rhizome. Grind into powder. Stir-fry over mild and strong heat until reddish. Extract natural juice from tender Ramie leaves and Chinese chive leaves. Mix with the powder, dry in shade. Then add 1 ounce each of Panax notoginseng root, Dragon's Blood, Arisaema cum Baccis, and Cow bile, plus 3 qian of borneol and wild daylily. Rub onto the wound for cure.

Use 2 ounces of Chinese chive root, 2 hairless mice, and 2 taels of tender calcined stone. Pound together in a mortar until paste-like. Form into cakes and dry in shade. When using, scrape off powder and apply to the wound for cure.

Stops bleeding, relieves pain, and promotes tissue regeneration. Use real sandalwood (Dalbergia odorifera), crushed and stir-fried to retain efficacy but charred on surface; five-gall nut and human hair charcoal, all in equal parts. Grind into powder and sprinkle on the wound. Cover with dried bamboo leaf, bind firmly with soft cotton. Change dressing every two days until healed.

Another prescription: Use 5 qian each of red kaolin, elephant skin, palm fiber, human hair charcoal, old felt hat material, and rosin; 3 qian each of catechu, dragon bone, frankincense, myrrh, alum, and clove; 1 qian each of cinnabar, amber, Panax notoginseng root, Qili San (Seven-Cent Powder), calamine, lead tetroxide, Pinellia ternata tuber, and borneol; and 8 qian of ground beetle. Grind all into an extremely fine powder.
