冬月冻极之人,虽人事不知,但胸前有微温,皆可救。倘或微笑,必为急掩其口鼻,如

All mentioned above are recorded in Volume 13, Chapter on "Traumatic Injuries" (Die Da Sun Shang).
The formulas mentioned below can be found in the subsequent section on "Rescue from Various Poisons" (Jie Jiu Zhu Du).
For individuals who have suffered extreme cold injury in winter, even if they are unconscious and unresponsive, as long as there is a slight warmth in the chest area, they can be rescued. If the patient exhibits a smiling expression, one must immediately cover their mouth and nose with hands; otherwise, the patient will continue to laugh uncontrollably, rendering rescue impossible. It is strictly forbidden to suddenly expose the patient to fire, as seeing the flame may cause them to laugh excessively and die.
For those frozen to death, presenting with stiff limbs, locked jaw, and faint breath: use a small amount of raw Pinellia ternata powder (Sheng Banxia Mo), about the size of a bean, insufflated into the nostrils and ears. Additionally, heat something in a large pot until it turns to ash, wrap it in cloth, and apply it as a warm compress to the heart and abdomen; replace when cool. Once the eyes open, administer warm wine and clear rice gruel in small amounts. The temperature must not be too high to avoid damaging teeth and causing them to fall out. If the patient has been revived, crush equal parts of fresh Zingiber officinale rhizome (Sheng Jiang) and dried tangerine peel (Chen Pi), decoct three bowls of water down to one bowl, and take warm.
Another formula: Roll the patient in felt or straw mats, tie securely with ropes, place on a level surface, and have two people step on opposite sides to roll the body back and forth, similar to rolling a mat. When the limbs become warm, the patient will revive.
Another formula: Mix realgar (Xionghuang) and saltpeter (Yan Xiao) in equal proportions, grind into powder, and apply to the inner corners of both eyes.
Have an assistant hold the patient in a seated cross-legged position on the ground. Pull the patient's hair upwards. Insufflate approximately a bean-sized amount of raw Pinellia ternata powder (Sheng Banxia Mo) into both nostrils, and force-feed ginger juice (Sheng Jiang Zhi). As long as there is slight warmth in the heart region, revival is possible even after one day. Subsequently, administer water mixed with white sugar to dissipate blood stasis, or add urine from a healthy child (Tong Bian) for administration.
Another formula: Administer Huisheng Dan (Revival Pill) (see Traumatic Injuries section below); the patient will revive immediately. It is truly a miraculous pill.
Earthworms (also known as Dilong, or Qulin), crushed and applied as a paste to the umbilicus; the patient revives within half a day. Prayers and thanks should still be offered to the Thunder God, with sincere repentance. Or use... [Text fragment]
Refer to the following sections on "Death from Evil Qi Invasion" (Zhong Xie Si) and "Death by Ghost Strike" (Gui Da Si) for various formulas. If a lamp was originally present, keep it lit; if no lamp is available, absolutely do not use light to shine on the patient. Urgently insufflate raw Pinellia ternata powder (Sheng Banxia Mo), about the size of a bean, into both nostrils; apply rooster comb blood (Ji Guan Xue - note: text says hen, but traditional context often implies rooster or generic chicken comb blood) to the face; reapply when dry, and the patient will awaken.
Another formula: Burn camphor wood (Zhang Mu) and fumigate the patient with the smoke; the patient will awaken.
Another formula: Do not use light to shine on the patient, nor shout urgently near them. Instead, bite firmly on the patient's heel and big toe, frequently call their name, spit saliva onto their face, and then administer ginger soup; the patient will surely survive.
Another formula: Slightly move the patient's lying position and call them gently; they will awaken.
Another formula: Use a tube to blow air into both ears. Insufflate soap fruit powder (Zao Jiao Mo), about the size of a bean, into both nostrils. If sneezing occurs, indicating that qi flow is restored, revival is possible even after three to four days.
Another formula: Administer Suhe Wan (Styrax Pill) mixed with wine.
Another formula: Moxibustion using mugwort (Ai) on the hairy area on top of both big toes, seven to twenty-one times. Alternatively, moxibustion on the Guiku Acupoint (Ghost Crying Point) is also effective (Guiku Acupoint see previous section on hanging death).
