The formula is found in the "Muscles and Bones" section.

Take three large river snails, pound them into a paste, add 3 fen of green salt, apply to the area one cun and three fen below the umbilicus; bowel movement will immediately become unobstructed.

This condition is named "Intestinal Redness" (Chang Hong), also known as "Intestinal Wind" (Chang Feng). Use eight cun of pig large intestine, wash it extremely clean. Take two liang of white lotus seeds (remove the heart but keep the skin), stuff them into the intestine, tie both ends tightly with thread, and boil until very soft. Take out the lotus seeds, add a little white salt, and consume twice or three times daily. The bleeding will stop within two days, and appetite will gradually increase. Whether to eat the pig intestine or not is optional; follow this diet for seven days. Additionally, use Guipi Tang (Spleen-Restoring Decoction) made into pills (see "Internal and External Ready-Made Formulas") taken daily to eradicate the root cause. If taken consistently, it will never recur; truly a miraculous formula.

Another prescription: Stir-fry tofu (specifically that which has not been filtered through a cloth bag to extract the milk) until it turns old yellow color, spread it out to cool. Consume 3 qian on an empty stomach each time, three times a day. For those with dark purple blood, take more.

Another case: A patient suffered from hematochezia (blood in stool), to which all medicines were ineffective, and the condition was critical. Later, he consumed five or six liang of chili peppers (also known as green peppers) in one sitting, and was cured.

Another prescription: Take a large handful of lablab bean leaves, pound them into a pulp, pour hot wine over them, strain off the dregs, and drink one bowl. Recovery occurs after two or three doses. There was a case of a patient with critical hematochezia who failed all other treatments but recovered after taking this.

Another prescription: Lightly stir-fry black soybeans, crush them, soak in water or wine, and drink. Immediate effect.

Another prescription: Burn dried loofah vine (also known as water melon, also known as thread melon) until charred, grind into powder, and take with light wine. Miraculous effect.

Another prescription: The honey-roasted radish formula from the "Strangury Disease" section is also effective.

Another prescription: Take twenty-one pieces of true longan aril, fourteen southern dates, one liang of white tremella mushroom, and four liang of good white honey. Decoct and take orally. Cure occurs after three doses. This is miraculous for hematochezia caused by deficiency.

Another prescription: Take seven pieces of Tong Da Hai (Sterculia lychnophora seed), soak in boiling water until expanded, remove the seeds, mix with rock sugar, and take orally. Very effective. Especially effective for hematochezia caused by heat.

Another prescription: Boil crucian carp in wine and consume regularly; this is best.

Another prescription: When cold herbs, hot herbs, and spleen-tonifying herbs are all ineffective, use powdered hawthorn flesh (Shan Zha Rou), mixed with mugwort leaf decoction and taken orally. Cure follows immediately. Alternatively, crush water chestnuts to extract juice (two wine cups), mix with good wine, and take. Recovery occurs within several days.

Another prescription: For cases where lower bleeding improves but recurs repeatedly and cannot be permanently eradicated, use black sesame seeds steamed for a long time. Chew finely and consume two liang, several times a day. After taking for several months, not only is the hematochezia eradicated, but kidney essence is also tonified. Long-term consumption prevents various diseases; the efficacy is too numerous to describe fully.
