用生鹅油涂在头上，将旧鞋底洗净烤热擦之，擦尽白皮，一连数日，即可净去。
又方∶大鳝鱼，捣烂敷之，亦效。
百草霜（要烧茅草者）、明雄黄各二钱五分，枯矾、榆皮各三钱，轻粉五分，锻石窑内

大蜂房，不拘多少，用生白矾末填孔内，以破罐底或瓦片盛之，房口向上，用炭火 ，
令白矾化尽为度，候冷研细末，腊猪油和涂，三五次可以除根。
又方∶白矾，研细末，用猪胆汁调搽。
又方∶麦芽、元明粉、元参各二钱，共研细末，多用烟油调和，剃破连日擦之，不可间
断，不痛不痒，除根乃止，倘间断仍恐复发。烟油即烟店烟叶榨出之油，总以烟油多为妙。
头发烧灰研末，以少许吹入鼻中。外用一钱，清水冲服。
又，独蒜切开贴手脚心即止。左鼻贴左，右鼻贴右。
又，胎发烧灰，加乌梅一个火 ，共研末吹鼻中。
又，麦冬（去心）、生地各五钱，水煎服。外以薄荷塞之即止。
又，干萝卜菜、猪精肉同煮食。
又，白芨研末，唾津调涂山根上，仍以水冲服一钱。
又，萝卜捣汁半盏，入酒少许热服。并以汁注鼻中。
又，白马尿敷头上即止。
又，藕节捣法饮之，并涂鼻中。
又，菜花五钱，水一钟，煎服。
又，陈年金墨磨浓，以灯草醮塞鼻内。
又，真香油以少许滴入鼻中。
又，以盐汤水温浸两足。
又，多年尿器中垢，新瓦上烘干研细五钱，麝香少许，用温水一碗调匀，缓缓服之，尤
效。
又，大蒜二个捣敷足心，左患贴右足心，右患贴左足心，两鼻出血，两足心并贴，极效
。兼治虚火上升，眼目肿胀。
又，山栀子烧灰吹之。
又，粟壳烧存性研末二钱，煮粥食。
又，蓼草根一团，塞鼻孔内一时辰，则终身不发。
又，胎发、龙骨等分，焙成灰，同乌梅炙脆研细，吹入鼻内。
又，淡紫草一斤，不用盐随作饭菜食，俱可以，五日或十日内食完，永不再发。
止鼻血歌曰∶石榴花瓣可以塞，萝卜藕汁可以滴。火 龙骨可以吹，水煎茅花可以吃。
又曰∶墙头苔癣可以塞，车前草汁可以滴。火烧莲房可以吹，水调锅煤可以吃。又曰∶旱莲
草捣可以塞，妇人乳汁可以滴。粟壳烧灰可以吹，乌贼骨末可以吃。
Apply raw goose fat to the scalp, wash an old shoe sole, heat it by roasting, and rub it on the affected area until the white scales are removed. Continue this for several days to completely clear the condition.
Another prescription: Mash a large eel and apply the paste to the affected area; it is also effective.
Baicaoshuang (Soot from burning straw), Ming Xionghuang (Realgar) each 2.5 qian, Kufan (Calcined Alum), Yupi (Ulmus Root Bark) each 3 qian, Qingfen (Calomel) 0.5 qian, and Dafengfang (Honeycomb) calcined in a kiln with Duan Shi (Ferruginous Ore). The amount of honeycomb is unrestricted. Fill the pores of the honeycomb with powder of Sheng Baifan (Raw Alum), place it on a broken pot bottom or tile with the opening facing up, and roast over charcoal fire until the alum is completely melted. After cooling, grind into fine powder. Mix with lard (pig fat) and apply. Three to five applications can eradicate the root cause.
Another prescription: Grind Baifan (Alum) into fine powder, mix with pig bile, and apply.
Another prescription: Maiya (Sprouted Barley), Yuanmingfen (Mirabilite), Yuanshen (Scrophulariae Radix) each 2 qian. Grind together into fine powder. Mix with a generous amount of Yanyou (Tobacco Oil). Shave the affected skin and rub continuously for several days without interruption. It should not be painful or itchy; stop only when the root cause is eradicated. If interrupted, recurrence is likely. Yanyou is oil extracted from tobacco leaves in tobacco shops; more oil is better.
Burn hair to ash, grind into powder, and blow a small amount into the nostril. For external use, take 1 qian, dissolve in clear water, and drink.
Alternatively, cut a single clove of garlic and apply it to the palm of the hand or sole of the foot to stop bleeding. Apply to the left side for left nasal bleeding, and to the right side for right nasal bleeding.
Alternatively, burn fetal hair to ash, add one Wumei (Mume Fruit), roast until crisp, grind into fine powder, and blow into the nostril.
Alternatively, decoct Maidong (Ophiopogonis Radix, heart removed) and Shengdi (Rehmanniae Radix) each 5 qian in water and drink. Externally, insert Bohe (Menthae Haplocalycis Herba) into the nostril to stop bleeding.
Alternatively, boil dried radish greens with lean pork meat and eat.
Alternatively, grind Baiji (Bletillae Rhizoma) into powder, mix with saliva, apply to the Shangen (root of the nose), and simultaneously take 1 qian dissolved in water.
Alternatively, crush fresh radish to obtain half a cup of juice, add a little wine, heat, and drink. Also inject the juice into the nostrils.
Alternatively, apply urine from a white horse to the scalp to stop bleeding.
Alternatively, crush lotus rhizome nodes, drink the juice, and apply to the nostrils.
Alternatively, decoct Caohua (Brassicae Chinensis Flos) 5 qian in one cup of water and drink.
Alternatively, grind aged gold ink (Jinmo) thickly, dip a rush light (Dengcao) into it, and insert into the nostril.
Alternatively, drip a small amount of Zhen Xiangyou (True Sesame Oil) into the nostril.
Alternatively, soak both feet in warm salt water.
Alternatively, dry the scale from a urinal used for many years on a new tile, grind 5 qian into fine powder, add a small amount of Shexiang (Moschus), mix evenly with one bowl of warm water, and slowly drink. This is particularly effective.
Alternatively, mash two cloves of garlic and apply to the soles of the feet. Apply to the opposite sole for unilateral nasal bleeding (left nose to right foot, right nose to left foot); apply to both soles for bilateral nasal bleeding. This is extremely effective and also treats rising deficiency fire causing eye swelling.
Alternatively, burn Zhizi (Gardeniae Fructus) to ash and blow into the nostril.
Alternatively, burn Qiaoke (Poppy Shell) until carbonized but retaining its nature, grind 2 qian into powder, and cook with rice to make porridge to eat.
Alternatively, stuff a ball of Liaogen (Polygoni Orientalis Radix) into the nostril for one shichen (two hours); it will never recur in life.
Alternatively, mix equal parts of Taifa (Fetal Hair) and Longgu (Fossilia Ossis Mastodi et Scapulae), roast to ash, roast Wumei (Mume Fruit) until crisp, grind finely together, and blow into the nostril.
Alternatively, consume Danzicao (Lithospermi Radix) one jin (500g) without salt, cooked as part of meals. Finish within five to ten days; it will never recur.
Song for stopping epistaxis: Pomegranate petals can be stuffed; radish and lotus juice can be dripped. Calcined Longgu (Fossilized Bone) can be blown; decocted Maohua (Setariae Germen) can be eaten.
Also said: Moss on the wall top can be stuffed; Plantago juice can be dripped. Burned Lotus capsule can be blown; Guomei (Soot from cooking pots) mixed with water can be eaten.
Also said: Eclipta (Hanliancao) crushed can be stuffed; human breast milk can be dripped. Poppy shell ash can be blown; Sepia bone powder can be eaten.
