Zhen Chenxiang (Aquilariae Lignum Resinatum), Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix), Gong Dingxiang (Caryophylli Flos), Ruxiang (Olibanum), Moyao (Myrrha), Lingzhi (Trogopterori Faeces), Yuanhu (Corydalis Rhizoma), each of the above one qian, Zhen Shexiang (Moschus) one fen, all ground together into powder, stored in a porcelain bottle, sealed with wax, ensuring no leakage. Take 0.7 qian per dose, swallowed with boiled water. This formula is specifically for treating various types of Qi pain in the heart and stomach for both men and women. For those whose Qi pain is so severe that even a drop of water causes immediate vomiting upon entry, or whose pain is unbearable to the point of tearing clothes, taking this will result in immediate recovery. It is extraordinarily effective, with virtually no failure. If there is no effect, it indicates worm pain; treat according to the subsequent formulas for worm accumulation.
Xiangyu San: This formula was obtained from an immortal transmission. For all kinds of heart and stomach Qi pain, it stops pain as if by magic. Someone has administered this formula for decades without fail. Take 100 green-skinned oranges, one jin of Xiangfu (Cyperi Rhizoma), and four liang of Yujin (Curcumae Radix). First, spread the oranges in a large steamer, with the stem ends facing up, lined with a new cloth at the bottom. Then, grind the Xiangfu and Yujin into powder and sprinkle them in. Cover tightly in the evening and steam until thoroughly cooked. Place a thin slice of fresh ginger on each orange stem end, add a small tuft of mugwort moxa on the ginger, ignite the moxa, replace the ginger and moxa after burning, and repeat this burning process three times consecutively. Sun-dry for one day, then steam again the following evening. Repeat this steaming and drying cycle nine times in total. Each time steaming, follow the previous method of burning three times. If sun-drying is not possible, air-drying is also acceptable. Store the prepared product in a porcelain bottle. Take one qian per dose (including the orange and medicine), decoct with water. One dose can be decocted two to three times. It is best to prepare this in winter to prevent mold.
Yinhuang San: Specifically treats cold pain in the heart and stomach. For chronic cases lasting years, three doses can eradicate the root cause. It also treats cold Sha syndrome and abdominal cold pain, proving highly effective and accurate every time. Take half a jin of Yin Xiao (Sal Nitrum) and two liang of refined Huang Dan (Lithargyrum). Use a large silver ladle (used by silversmiths), place it over charcoal fire. The fire should be strong but not too fierce. Put the Yin Xiao into the ladle and stir continuously clockwise with copper chopsticks, never stirring counter-clockwise. Add the Huang Dan in several portions. The Yin Xiao will melt into liquid. Stir for half an hour until the nitre and lithargyrum merge into a single color. Pour into cold water, wait for it to cool and solidify, then remove, grind finely, and store in a porcelain bottle. Bury in the ground for one month to eliminate "fire toxicity." Use 0.5 qian per dose (0.3 qian for weak constitutions), taken with boiling liquor. If unsure whether the Qi pain is due to cold or heat, first take Hu Jiao Mo (Piperis Longi Fructus powder); if the pain slightly alleviates, it is a cold pattern, and then take this formula, which will surely be appropriate.
Jiang Fu San: Liangjiang (Alpiniae Officinarum Rhizoma, wine-fried) and Xiangfu (Cyperi Rhizoma, vinegar-fried) are ground into powder and made into pills using rice soup. Take 3-4 qian per dose, taken well after meals. For any heart and stomach... [Text appears truncated here in original].
Another prescription, Shixiao San: Lingzhi (Trogopterori Faeces) three qian, Puhuang (Typhae Pollen) two qian, each fried and ground into powder. Decoct thoroughly with good vinegar, add water, and take with the dregs. Effective for blood stasis pain in the heart, abdomen, chest, and ribs for men, women, old, and young; hernia in the lower abdomen; Hong Kong leg (podagra/foot swelling); and all Qi pain associated with metrorrhagia and syncope before or after childbirth. It is truly a miraculous formula.
Another prescription: Specifically treats Liver Qi stagnation. Take one liang of Xiakucao (Prunellae Spica), decoct in water. For those with weak constitutions, add four liang of lean pork and boil together. Drink as tea. After consuming three to four liang, the condition can be eradicated. This herb soothes Liver Qi, nourishes Liver Blood, and extinguishes Liver Wind, hence its miraculous efficacy. Why does the *Bencao* (Materia Medica) not mention its ability to treat Liver diseases? Furthermore, patients with Liver diseases must strictly avoid chicken throughout their lives, and avoiding Chunya (Toosendan Fructus buds) is also essential.
Another prescription: Caoguo (Tsaoko Fructus), Yuanhusuo (Corydalisis Rhizoma), Lingzhi (Trogopterori Faeces), and Moyao (Myrrha), each five qian, ground into powder. Take three qian per dose, mixed with wine. Effective for all kinds of Qi pain. The rhyme states: Caoguo and Yuanhusuo, Lingzhi and Moyao. Mixed with wine and taken three qian, the pain is removed as easily as picking something up with your hand.
Another prescription: Liangjiang (Alpiniae Officinarum Rhizoma), Chuanpu (Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex, stir-fried with ginger juice), and Lingzhi (Trogopterori Faeces) in equal parts, ground into powder. Take one qian per dose, mixed with boiling vinegar to stop pain immediately. Highly effective.
Another prescription: Danshen (Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) one liang, Tanxiang (Santalum Album Lignum) and Sharen (Amomi Fructus Rotundus), each one qian. Decoct in water and take. Recovery is immediate. More effective for women.
Another prescription: Three qian of Yuanhusuo (Corydalis Rhizoma) powder, taken with wine. Extremely effective. Someone suffered unbearable chest and heart pain and constipation due to buckwheat causing Qi stagnation; all medicines caused immediate vomiting. Taking this medicine cured him. Another elderly person suffering from dysentery and abdominal pain near death, with coffins already prepared, was also cured by this medicine. For any Qi pain unresponsive to other medicines, this formula will surely work.
Another prescription: Raw Dihuang (Rehmanniae Radix) mashed to extract juice, taken cold. Very effective. Someone with heart and stomach pain unresponsive to hundreds of medicines was cured after taking this, vomiting out a parasite. Another person took this and passed a parasite, eradicating the root cause.
Another prescription: Garlic cloves pickled in vinegar for two to three years. Eat several; pain stops immediately. Alternatively, raw garlic can be boiled and eaten.
Another prescription: In emergencies when no medicine is available for Qi pain, take a pinch of salt, place it on a knife blade, heat the knife red-hot in charcoal, quench it in water, and drink the hot water immediately. Cured. Avoid eating soft-shell turtle after recovery.
Another prescription: Follow the method of burning the Shaoshang acupoint (as described in the first formula for treating epistaxis in the nasal section); immediate recovery.
