Take one walnut kernel and one date (pitted), sandwich the kernel between the two halves of the date, wrap in paper, and roast until cooked. Chew thoroughly and swallow with a cup of ginger decoction.

Quickly char aged stored rice to ash, mix with honey, and ingest; otherwise, the condition may worsen or manifest as rebellious Qi.
Another prescription: Take one pig heart, insert one grain of pepper for each year of age (e.g., if the patient is 30 years old, use 30 grains), and boil with salt and wine for consumption.

The poem regarding the Date Pill states:
One dried plum and two dates, seven almond kernels pounded together.
Men take it down with wine, women with vinegar; this prevents heart pain until old age.
Another prescription: Wash Cinnabar (Zhusha) thoroughly, and use three qian of Wood Fragrance (Muxiang) that has not been roasted. Melt one liang of Yellow Beeswax (Huangla). Grind the two herbs into powder, mix with the melted wax, and form pills the size of mung beans. Take seven pills per dose, swallowed with distilled liquor.
Another prescription: Soak garlic cloves in aged vinegar for many years. Eat several cloves; the effect is miraculous.
Another prescription: Grind Corydalis Rhizome (Yanhusuo) into powder (three qian), mix with warm wine, and ingest to stop pain immediately.

Use rice grains to adhere Alum (Baifan) to form pills. Take three fen per dose.
Another prescription: Use one he of sesame seeds, stir-fry until yellow, decoct with one cup of rice vinegar until reduced to one-third volume, then consume.
Another prescription: Use one cup of pure hemp seed oil, add a small cup of distilled liquor, heat, and drink while hot.
Another prescription: Use one liang of thick wood ear mushrooms, dry-roast until crisp, grind into powder, and take with white wine. Three doses will result in complete recovery.
Another prescription: Roast Litchi Seed (Lizhihe) slowly over low heat until the exterior is carbonized but the interior retains its properties (charred but not burnt to ash). Grind into fine powder, mix with hot wine, and ingest for immediate recovery.
All the above prescriptions have been verified as effective.

Take one cucumber, split it open lengthwise, remove the flesh and seeds, fill the cavity with Powder of Alum (Mingfan), close it, tie with thread, and hang in the shade to dry. When white frost appears on the skin, scrape off the frost, grind it finely, and seal it in a porcelain bottle. For any acute case of severe heart pain where death seems imminent, provided there is still faint breath, apply the cucumber frost to the four corners of the eyes; recovery will be immediate.

Seven grains of pepper and fourteen dates (pitted). Decoct with water until the liquid is completely evaporated. Discard the pepper and consume the dates.

A person suffered from heart pain for eight or nine years without success from various medicines, but recovered after taking this prescription. Use one to two liang of Sesame (Huma), stir-fry, and grind into powder. Take three qian per dose, swallowed with yellow wine. Take several times a day; recovery will follow.

Dry Lacquer (Ganqi) one liang, crush, and stir-fry until smoke ceases. Grind into powder. Make pills using vinegar-boiled wheat paste, sized like wutong tree seeds. Take five to nine pills per dose, swallowed with hot wine.
Another prescription: Take Corydalis Rhizome (Yuanhuxu), Angelica Root (Danggui), Frankincense (Ruxiang), Myrrh (Moyao), Galangal (Liangjiang), and Trogopterus Dung (Wulingzhi), five qian each. Grind all into fine powder. Take three qian per dose, swallowed with distilled liquor.
