This is named *Shi Jia* (Stone Mass). It occurs when cold pathogen enters from the vaginal orifice during menstruation and lodges in the uterine gate, causing menstrual blood to coagulate and menses to cease. The abdomen gradually enlarges resembling pregnancy. In robust women, after half a year, increased urination will lead to resolution. However, in those with deficiency and frailty, it will inevitably develop into edema. Use *Wen Jing Tang* (Warm the Meridian Decoction): *Dang Gui Shen* (Radix Angelicae Sinensis, root tip), *Chuan Xiong* (Rhizoma Chuanxiong), *Chi Shao* (Radix Paeoniae Rubra), *E Zhu* (Rhizoma Curcumae), *Tai Dang* (Radix Astragali Complanati), and *Zhi Gan Cao* (Radix Glycyrrhizae Preparata) each 1.5g; *Chuan Niu Xi* (Radix Cyathulae Officinalis), *Gu Zhi* (Fructus Psoraleae), and fried *Xiao Hui* (Fructus Foeniculi) each 3g; use ginger and jujube as guides, decoct in water and take orally. It is also advisable to frequently take *Si Zhi Xiang Fu Wan* (Four-Processed Cyperi Pill) (see previous section), which is a secret prescription from the *Ling Shu Jing* (Spiritual Pivot).
Virgins who do not understand self-care upon the onset of menstruation may mistakenly wash their hands in cold water. Blood encountering cold water coagulates and fails to discharge, resulting in a cyan-yellow complexion and generalized edema. If treated as edema without effect, one should use *Tong Jing Wan* (Unblock Menses Pill) to unblock blood vessels and reduce swelling for recovery.
*Tong Jing Wan*: *San Leng* (Rhizoma Sparganii), *E Zhu* (Rhizoma Curcumae), *Chi Shao* (Radix Paeoniae Rubra), *Chuan Xiong* (Rhizoma Chuanxiong), *Dang Gui* (Radix Angelicae Sinensis), *Zi Wan* (Asteris Radix), and *Liu Ji Nu* (Herba Siegesbeckiae) each 2.4g; one slice of *Chuan Shan Jia* (Squama Manis) are ground into powder, formed into pills with rice paste, and taken with wine.
Old cloth used for steaming rice (the older the better) is burned to ash. Mix with condensed steam water collected from the pot lid (steam water from the steamer lid is also acceptable) and apply externally. The swelling subsides immediately upon application, and menstruation resumes.
Or there may be hematemesis or no hematemesis, loss of appetite, and mental fatigue.
*Shu Di Huang* (Radix Rehmanniae Preparata), *Gan Jiang* (Rhizoma Zingiberis Preparatum), *Dang Gui* (Radix Angelicae Sinensis), *Pu Huang* (Pollen Typhae), *Chi Shao* (Radix Paeoniae Rubra), and *Gan Cao* (Radix Glycyrrhizae) each 9g; *Xiao Hei Dou* (Sojae Semen Nigrum) 15g are ground into fine powder. Separately, *Rou Gui* (Cortex Cinnamomi) 9g is peeled and ground into powder, then mixed uniformly with the medicine. Take 9g per dose, adding seven male fingernails roasted on tile until yellow and ground fine. Before sleep, take with hot light yellow wine to induce sweating. Avoid wind exposure. Take one dose daily for four doses. The effect is miraculous. During these four days, consume only rice mixed with brown sugar dissolved in hot water or thin porridge. Do not eat anything else, and strictly avoid shock and anger, which is crucial.
This is caused by consuming spicy and gingerous heat-toxic substances, leading to chaotic blood circulation. Urgently use *Xi Jiao Di Huang Tang* (Rhinoceros Horn and Rehmannia Decoction): *Xi Jiao* (Cornu Rhinocerotis), *Bai Shao* (Radix Paeoniae Alba), *Dan Pi* (Cortex Moutan), and *Zhi Shi* (Fructus Aurantii Immaturus) each 3g; *Huang Qin* (Radix Scutellariae), *Ju Hong* (Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae), *Bai Cao Shuang* (Fuligo Silicea - soot from the pot bottom, preferably from burning grass; coal soot must absolutely not be used), and *Jie Geng* (Radix Platycodonis) each 2.4g, *Sheng Di Huang* (Radix Rehmanniae)...
Another prescription: Crush fresh chives to obtain one cup of juice, add half a cup of child's urine (*Tong Bian*), steam and take warm. Extremely effective. Without child's urine, efficacy is slightly slower.
Yet another prescription: First, grind high-quality aged ink stick in water to obtain one cup, drink it to stop bleeding immediately. Subsequently, use *Gui Wei* (Ramulus Cinnamomi) and *Hong Hua* (Flos Carthami) each 3g, decoct in one and a half cups of water until reduced to eight-tenths, and take.
