Banliangqian (coins inscribed with "Banliang", heated by fire, quenched several times in vinegar, and ground into fine powder) 7 li. Tiangua Zi (Sweet Melon Seed, roasted dry).
For treating traumatic injuries from falls or blows, with unceasing bleeding: Tianhuafen (Trichosanthes Root) 5 liang, Jianghuang (Turmeric Rhizome) 1 liang, Chishao Yao (Red Peony Root) 1 liang, Baizhi (Angelica Dahurica) 1 liang. The above four ingredients are not subjected to heat processing; they are ground into fine powder. Mix with clear tea and apply around the wound edges; bleeding will stop immediately. If the injury is on the head, apply around the neck; if on limbs, apply on arms and legs. If the wound feels hard due to wind-toxin invasion, add Duohuo (Angelica Pubescens), applied with wine. If it does not subside, add Zijing Pi (Bauhinia Bark) powder for external application.
Zhuban You (Porcine Subcutaneous Fat) 10 liang (best if prepared in the twelfth lunar month), Bai La (White Beeswax) 8 liang (refined), Feidan (Lead Oxide Powder, levigated with water) 4 liang, Ziran Tong (Natural Copper Pyrite, quenced in vinegar ten times). One broken shoe sole from a beggar on the market, burned to ash, mixed with an equal amount of Feiluo Mian (fine flour, roasted yellow). Pain stops shortly after, and a sound of bone setting indicates efficacy.
Another prescription: Large Toad (Bufo bufo gargarizans), crushed raw into mud, wrapped with split bamboo for binding; the fracture will heal spontaneously.
Baizhu Xianggen (Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome with fragrance), mashed with Jiuzao (Wine Lees) and applied; recovery follows.
Another prescription: White Radish (Raphanus Sativus), chopped, crushed, excess coarse juice removed, applied to the affected area, tightly bound overnight; healing occurs.
