Specifically treats Ge Ye (esophageal obstruction and dysphagia) and malaria, with extraordinary miraculous efficacy. First ascertain the time of the lunar eclipse. On that day, observe a devout fast and prepare one jin (approx. 500g) of clean, dry flour. Then, decoct half a jin of old Perilla folium (Lao Zisu) in water to obtain a concentrated juice. Mix this juice into the flour until the consistency is moderate, and place it in a clean porcelain basin. At the appointed time, respectfully set up an incense altar under the moonlight, kneel and bow before the moon. Starting from the beginning of the lunar eclipse's initial waning phase, shape the mixed flour into pills the size of Sophora japonica seeds (Wutongzi). Stop making them when the eclipse is about to return to fullness. Place the pills on the altar to be exposed to the night air for one night, then dry them in the shade and store them in a porcelain bottle. Take a number of pills corresponding to the patient's age. There is no case where these pills fail to relieve obstruction after ingestion. They are inexpensive yet highly effective, and exceptionally miraculous. Particularly strange is that the exterior of the flour pills is solid while the interior is hollow; pills made during the initial waning phase are half-hollow inside, while those made during the peak of the eclipse are completely hollow inside. Pills not made under the moonlight are ineffective. Temporarily, use several people to make more pills under the moon to widely benefit others, accumulating boundless merit.
Another prescription: Scrape off the coarse skin of fresh ginger root (Shengjiang), cut it into thick slices, and thread them onto a bamboo strip. In late May, immerse the strip in a vat of concentrated human urine or fecal slurry for seven days. On June 6th, take it out, wash away the fecal matter with water, dry it in the shade, and grind it into powder. Take one qian (approx. 3.7g) per dose, delivered with Huojiu (fire wine/spirits), and the illness will heal. For severe cases, only a few doses are needed, with extreme efficacy.
Take whole Zhiqiao (Aurantii Fructus) without the pith, four liang (approx. 125g). Insert three seeds of Croton tiglium (Badou) into each piece of Zhiqiao, tie securely with hemp thread in a cross pattern. Boil in five or six bowls of water until thoroughly cooked, then remove the Badou seeds. Cut the Zhiqiao into pieces and dry them in the sun. Take one liang of Juhongpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Rubrum), one liang of Qingpi (Aurantii Fructus Immaturus) without pith, and three qian of Guangmuxiang (Agastachis Rhizoma) ground into powder without roasting. Grind all together into fine powder. Use aged strong liquor and aged glutinous rice flour paste to form pills. Take fifty pills before going to bed.
Da Dou (Soybean, also known as Luohan Dou), whether fried or boiled, should be eaten frequently. Over time, the condition will heal spontaneously. This is because patients with this syndrome cannot swallow most foods, but eating Da Dou causes no obstruction due to the mutual inhibitory relationship between them.
One Eel (Huangshan Yu), using non-ashy yellow wine, adjust the amount of wine according to the size of the eel. Boil until the wine is dry. Roast the eel, including skin and bone, in a clean clay pot until its medicinal nature is preserved, then grind into fine powder. For patients with severe heat symptoms, take three qian per dose; for mild cases, take two qian and five fen (approx. 1.8g) per dose. Do not exceed this amount. Mix with yellow wine for administration. If taken in the first half of the month, the effect is particularly rapid; if taken in the second half, the effect is slower. Improvement is seen after three doses, and complete recovery after five doses. After recovery, maintain a bland diet, gradually consume thin congee, and avoid all thoughts, planning, anger, and irritation. Avoid meat, seafood, stimulating foods, alcohol, sexual indulgence, and physical exhaustion. To resume normal eating, take the powder with Indigofera tinctoria flower water (Dianhua Shui).
