Sha toxin attacks the stomach, roundworms die and enter the large intestine, where they bind with accumulated feces, causing severe abdominal pain. Additionally, due to extreme heat and distension in the stomach, the roundworms cannot survive and surge upward, being expelled through vomiting. Alternatively, roundworm binding causes abdominal pain and constipation; sometimes the worms or bound feces are passed via stool. This differs from the vomiting of roundworms seen in *Shanghan* (Cold Damage) disease caused by latent yin within. The treatment should primarily focus on clearing sha toxin and relieving distension, adding prepared *Rhei Radix et Rhizoma* (Shu Dahuang) [Zhu Qi Formula].

A female patient suffered from sha disease with extreme pain, sweating profusely on the head like rain, and a pulse that was hollow (*Kou*), large, and full. Scraping and bloodletting were ineffective. She was treated with Zhu Er Fang. The next day, tendons became visible, and bloodletting was performed. Subsequently, Shi Qi Xia was administered, resulting in the expulsion of three dead roundworms and bound feces, after which the abdominal pain ceased.

A female patient presented with fever, heart pain, excessive salivary phlegm, and vomited two roundworms. After administering Zhu Qi Fang, the phlegm subsided.

When the entire body, including the face and eyeballs, turns ginger-yellow, it indicates that pathogenic heat has dispersed into the spleen and stomach, revealing the true color of earth (yellow). The spleen is a yin organ governed by dry earth, while the stomach is a yang fu organ governed by damp earth (Wu Earth). The interaction of dampness and dryness leads to steaming and steaming of damp-heat, manifesting as jaundice (treatable with Zhu Ba Fang).

A Daoist surnamed Yu contracted an epidemic disease for seven to eight days, presenting with generalized jaundice, staring eyes, rigid body, and six pulses that were imperceptible yet suddenly became turbulent. He had been constipated for a long time and was near death. The physician used Di Sha San to pry open his mouth for administration, pricked the arm and fingers to release ink-black blood drops, but found no suitable vein at Weizhong (BL40). Reluctantly, he administered Zhu Ba Fang, resulting in a complete recovery.

(Fenshui) Commentary: *Bencao Congxin* states that jaundice must be differentiated into yin and yang types. Yang jaundice is suitable for *Yinchenhao*, while yin jaundice requires warming and tonification. Inappropriate use of *Yinchenhao* often leads to incorrect treatment.

If the face, head, hands, feet, and ten fingers turn black like soot from a pot, it is incurable due to blood coagulation. Alternatively, rubbing the body with fire wine and pricking Weizhong (BL40) to release two teacups of purple-black blood has resulted in immediate cures.

Qi stagnation pain, blood stasis mass pain, and food retention mass pain all result from incomplete scraping and bloodletting, combined with the failure to use resolving medications, leading to toxin stagnation and mass formation. Treatment methods: For qi branch involvement, use herbs such as *Chenxiang* and *Sharen*; for blood branch involvement, use *Taoren* and *Honghua*; for food retention, use *Binglang* and *Buzi* (Laifuzi); for mixed patterns, treat concurrently (Pao Yi-Er Fang).

Furthermore, if dietary restrictions are ignored, sha toxin may wrap around food to form masses, causing pain under both hypochondria. There are many variations of sha masses, making them difficult to treat. Treating sha disease is most effective in the early stages. If hot soup is consumed, toxic blood coagulates. Even if chronic sha does not cause acute distension endangering life, it will lead to hypochondriac pain. Long-standing blood stasis becomes difficult to dissipate.

A female patient with abdominal pain underwent bloodletting twice. Suddenly, a mass appeared in the left hypochondrium with persistent pain, restlessness, and a hollow, deep, and faint pulse. This was due to stagnant toxin. She was treated with Zhu Wu Fang combined with Pao Yi Fang and Shi Yi Fang, added with *Beimu* and *Baijiezhi*. Two doses resulted in recovery.

A male patient presented with fever, phlegm expectoration, hypochondriac pain, and incessant asthma and vomiting. The left pulse was rapid and surging, while the right pulse seemed hidden. After two acupuncture needles and administration of child urine, symptoms slightly improved. Then, Jin Qi Wan and Run Xia Wan were administered, resolving fever and phlegm. Finally, Pao Er Fang was given, resulting in recovery after three doses.
