人有一时身热,即便身冷,而满体生斑如疹者,乃火从外泄,而不得尽泄于皮肤,故郁

If a person experiences sudden fever followed by chills, and spots resembling rashes appear all over the body, this is due to fire pathogenic factors attempting to vent outward from the interior but failing to fully reach the skin surface, thus stagnating and generating spots. People generally consider this a heat syndrome; however, using cold-natured herbs to purge fire proves ineffective. Cases where spots fail to resolve leading to death are possible injuries. The prescription consists of Xuan Shen (Radix Scrophulariae), Mai Dong (Radix Ophiopogonis) each 1 liang, Bai Jie Zi (Semen Sinapis Albae), Sha Shen (Radix Glehniae or Radix Adenophorae) each 3 qian, Sheng Ma (Rhizoma Cimicifugae) 2 qian, Bai Zhi (Radix Angelicae Dahuricae) 1 qian, and Dan Pi (Cortex Moutan) 5 qian. Decoct in water and take orally. After one dose, the intensity of the spots decreases; after two doses, the spot patterns dissipate; after three doses, the traces of spots completely vanish. The brilliance of this formula lies in using Xuan Shen and Mai Dong to eliminate spots, and particularly in using a larger dose of Sheng Ma (after two or three doses, the dose of Sheng Ma should be halved) to guide Xuan Shen and Mai Dong into the skin, allowing the group of herbs to exert their effect, ensuring the resolution of spots. Additionally, the formulas named "Xia Ma" (Toad-like) and "Yan Ni" (Swallow Mud) in the "Shang Han" (Cold Damage) section are also extremely effective. For cases with generalized spotting, red eyes, swollen nose, panting, and hair becoming hard as copper or iron, see the "Strange Diseases" section in Volume 16.
Also known as Bai Bo Feng (White Patch Wind). It mostly occurs on the head and face, presenting as white patches like clouds. Apply oil from white eels to the affected area. If unavailable, dry white eels, fry until charred, extract the oil, and apply it for cure.
Another formula: Tu Ji Li Zi (Fructus Tribuli terrestris) 6 liang, freshly ground into powder (avoid iron utensils). Take 2 qian per dose, twice daily, washed down with boiled water. External use with Xiao Mai (Flos Tritici Levis)... [Text incomplete]
Another formula: One pig liver, boiled in plain water without salt, consumed in one sitting. Abstain from sexual intercourse for one month; gradual self-healing will occur. This also treats Zi Dian Feng (Purple Spot Wind). Note: Pig liver is toxic in spring, do not use.
Liu Huang (Sulfur), Qing Fen (Calomel), Mi Tuo Seng (Litharge), Ban Mao (Mylabris), Zhang Nao (Borneolum Syntheticum) in equal parts, ground into an extremely fine powder. When sweating occurs, dip old ginger slices in the powder and rub the affected area. Wash off after two or three days to eradicate the root cause; miraculous effect. Alternatively, grind Mi Tuo Seng into powder and rub with cucumber stems, which is also effective.
Another formula: Tuo Seng Gan Ge (likely referring to specific preparation involving Litharge and Pueraria), Liu Huang (Sulfur), Hai Piao Xiao (Endoconcha Sepiae), Chuan Jiao (Fructus Zanthoxyli), ground into fine powder. First, rub the affected area with sliced old ginger, then apply the medicinal powder. Recurrence will never happen. Taking a bath with decoction of Fu Xiao Mai (Frumentum Levissimum) once more enhances the effect.
