又，客店人多屋少之处，多有人死未及殓埋，将尸藏匿榻下，尤宜详细看过。
坐船头晕呕吐者，开船时向天后宫或江神水神之处诚心拜祷，即安。或饮童便最妙，饮
白沙糖水亦可。或用撑船竹篙水滴碗中，以滚开水兑服，亦效。
又方∶下船时，将灶心土一块藏发中，勿使人知，即安。或写土字于手心，坐船即不恐
怖，取土能掩水之义。晕车呕吐者，亦饮童便为妙，或白沙糖水亦可。
用黄纸以朱砂写禹字戴身旁，自安。黄澹翁传。
有口含药物，或带身旁，或贿差役内侍传递，尤宜加意关防。
黄纸上用朱砂水印二颗，先将印用皂角水洗净油，一贴罪囚背上，一贴心口。并用绿豆
煎水与服可破，甚效。
又方∶用细竹条出其不意扑之，或于夜静忽然提讯，猝不及防，亦可破也。又有运气自
耳、鼻及粪门出者，塞其耳、鼻、粪门自招。
Carrying a turtle while traveling, even when entering deep mountains in uninhabited areas, upon reaching a three-way intersection, place the turtle down and follow its direction of movement; one will naturally not lose their way.
Write the characters "I am a ghost" (Wo Shi Gui) on the palm of the left hand using the middle finger of the right hand, then clench the fist tightly; one will naturally feel no fear. This method was transmitted by Huang Danweng.
In remote places such as waterways, land routes, isolated villages, and wild riverbanks, there are thieves who use stupefying incense. If one is slightly unprepared, they may be rendered unconscious and robbed completely. Before going to sleep, holding rock sugar (sand sugar or slab sugar is also acceptable) in the mouth, or holding licorice root (Gancao), can prevent this. If accidentally swallowed, one must continue to hold it in the mouth. Scatter white powder [text incomplete/erroneous in original] around door frames and window cracks. Additionally, wearing bright realgar (Xiong Huang, specifically large pieces) on the head or tied under the left armpit while sleeping can also ward off evil.
Furthermore, in crowded inns with few rooms, it is common for corpses that have not yet been buried to be hidden under beds; one should inspect carefully.
For those suffering from dizziness and vomiting while boating, sincerely pray at a Tianhou Palace (Mazu Temple) or shrines dedicated to River Gods and Water Gods when the boat sets sail, which will bring peace. Drinking child's urine (Tongbian) is most effective, or drinking白沙糖水 (Baisha Tangshui / White Sand Sugar Water) is also acceptable. Alternatively, collect water drops dripping from the bamboo pole used for poling the boat into a bowl, mix with boiling water, and drink; this is also effective.
Another prescription: Upon disembarking, hide a piece of Zaoxin Tu (Dustman Earth / Hearth Soil) in one's hair without letting others know, which ensures safety. Or write the character "Earth" (Tu) on the palm of the hand; one will not feel fearful while boating, based on the principle that earth controls water. For those suffering from motion sickness and vomiting, drinking child's urine is also best, or drinking Baisha Tangshui is acceptable.
Write the character "Yu" (Yu) in cinnabar (Zhusha) on yellow paper and wear it on the person; one will remain safe. This method was transmitted by Huang Danweng.
Regarding the use of stupefying drugs, whether carried on the person or bribed to be passed through runners or eunuchs, extra vigilance is required.
Print two seals with cinnabar ink on yellow paper. First, clean the seal with soapberry water to remove oil. Stick one seal on the back of the prisoner and the other on the chest. Administer decoction made from mung beans (Lvdou) for the prisoner to drink to break the spell; this is very effective.
Another method: Unexpectedly strike the practitioner with a thin bamboo strip, or interrogate them suddenly in the quiet night, catching them off guard, which can also break the spell. There are also cases where qi is expelled through the ears, nose, and anus; blocking these orifices will cause the spell to fail.
