This is caused by deficiency of true yin (True Yin) or excessive sexual activity, named "Fan Hua" (Flower Turning). The pain is extremely severe. Use one large soft-shelled turtle weighing two jin (approx. 1 kg), remove the entrails and impurities, boil the whole turtle including the head in water until very tender. Collect the broth in a bowl, dip old silk cloth into the broth, and drip it onto the affected area to allow penetration. Calcine the bones along with the head and neck into ash, grind into powder, wipe clean at night, and apply the powder. Cook the meat into a soup for the patient to consume. It will heal in three days. For elderly patients with rectal prolaxis unresponsive to other medicines, this prescription also yields miraculous results.
The condition is named "Yin Chui" (Vaginal Flatulence), characterized by sounds from the vagina resembling urination. *Jin Gui Yao Lue* states: "This is due to stomach qi descending, causing loud vaginal flatulence, which results from excess grain qi." Use eight liang (approx. 300 g) of pork back fat and three clumps of loose hair the size of an egg. Wash them thoroughly with soapy water, boil together until the hair melts, and divide into two doses for oral administration. The pathogenic factor exits via urination. This is a formula treating Yangming and Shaoyin syndromes. It also treats consumption disease and jaundice in both men and women.
See the section on Fertility for the formula.
This is caused by cold invasion. Stir-fry salt until hot, wrap in blue cloth, and apply as a warm compress; effective.
Another prescription: Crush scallion bulbs with frankincense resin, apply externally; highly effective.
Crush white ginkgo nuts and apply topically; highly effective.
Mirabilite, seeds of *Impatiens balsamina* (also known as nail flower seeds or Acute Seed, preferably home-grown), pomegranate peel each 5 qian (approx. 18.75 g), Yin Chen (Artemisiae Scopariae Herba) 4 qian...
Another prescription: Crush fresh *Impatiens balsamina* plants including roots, decoct in water, and wash frequently. The feet will become soft and free from pain; tested repeatedly with great efficacy. Using monkey bone decoction for washing causes foot weakness and lifelong inability to walk; absolutely do not use.
Another prescription: Almond 1 qian (approx. 3.75 g), mulberry bark 4 qian (approx. 15 g), water five bowls. Decoct in a new clay pot until reduced to three bowls. Add mirabilite 5 qian (approx. 18.75 g) and frankincense 1 qian (approx. 3.75 g). Seal with paper and continue heating until dissolved. First fumigate the feet, then wash. Repeat once every three days. After more than ten treatments, the feet become soft and easy to bandage.
See the section on Feet for the formula.
When a newborn leaves the mother's body, there is fluid toxin in the mouth, resembling blood clots. Upon crying, the infant swallows it, and the toxin hides in the Mingmen (Gate of Life). Later, it manifests as convulsive fever, sores, malignant smallpox, etc. Before the infant cries, urgently use silk cotton wrapped around a finger to remove the turbid matter from the mouth to clear the zang-fu organs.
Another prescription: For a newly born infant whose digestion has not yet started and stomach qi is inactive, the stomach remains a pure and empty organ. Finely cut a small amount of licorice root (*Gancao*), wrap it in clean fine silk, soak in boiling water in a cup (not too sweet). Then wrap a finger with soft cloth, dip in the juice, and wipe the inside of the mouth to remove turbidity. Subsequently, peel walnut meat (*Hetao Rou*), grind finely, wrap in thin gauze like a small date, place in the infant's mouth for sucking. Only feed milk after the juice is fully sucked.
Another prescription: Prepared rhubarb (*Shu Jun*), bitter orange peel (*Zhi Ke*), angelica sinensis tail (*Gui Wei*), raw licorice (*Sheng Gancao*) each 5 fen (approx. 1.875 g), safflower (*Honghua*) 3 fen (approx. 1.125 g), peach kernel (*Taoren*) 3 fen (approx. 1.125 g). Prepare this medicine in advance. When the infant is born, decoct one tea cup of water until half remains. Soak a piece of new cotton in the medicinal liquid, take it out, wrap it around a finger, and place it in the infant's mouth for sucking. Repeat soaking and sucking. If the infant does not suck, stop. After a while, if the infant passes black stool, continue sucking until the stool color is no longer black. This medicine must be administered within six hours (two shichen) after birth. Milk can only be given after taking this medicine. This prescription is most effective in removing toxins and preventing diseases, beneficial without harm.
Another prescription: When a newborn lands, burn one olive pit until carbonized, grind into powder. Mix with 5 fen (approx. 1.875 g) of cinnabar. Chew one raw sesame seed, mix the saliva with the medicine, wrap in silk like a date pit, place in the infant's mouth. Wait for sucking for about an hour before feeding milk. This medicine removes turbid toxins from the intestines and stomach, reduces illness in the infant, and lessens the severity of smallpox.
Another prescription: Fermented soybean (*Dan Dou Chi*) and licorice (*Gancao*) each 3 qian (approx. 11.25 g). Decoct strongly, administer frequently, up to one wine glass per dose. The toxin will naturally descend, it nourishes spleen qi, and prevents convulsions.
Another prescription: If the mother's constitution is inherently cold, the infant is weak, or the delivery was slow leading to wind-cold invasion, the infant will have a pale complexion and pale red lips. Administer only light ginger soup. This best dispels stomach cold, clears the mind and spirit, and prevents vomiting and diarrhea. This method is excellent but unknown to many. After administration, follow the previous prescriptions.
