Treats constipation and stagnation of stool due to wind-heat in the large intestine, as well as nodules formed by the five types of hemorrhoids.
Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, 1 liang), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix, 2 liang), Xiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma, 0.5 liang), Zaoren (Gleditsiae Sinensis Fructus Semen), Huangbo (Phellodendri Cortex), Zhike (Aurantii Fructus Immaturus, each 1 fen).
Grind the above herbs into a fine powder, mix with refined honey, and form pills the size of mulberry seeds. Take 30 pills per dose at any time, washed down with rice water.
Treats all conditions of cold qi disharmony, and pain caused by attacking and rushing of qi from the zang organs and bladder. It is particularly effective for treating abdominal pain before and after childbirth in women, restless fetus, or stabbing pain due to blood stasis, and also treats chronic diseases of the blood zang.
Chuanxiong (Rhizoma Chuanxiong), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Zhike (Aurantii Fructus Immaturus), Houpo (Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex), Guizhi (Cinnamomi Ramulus), Qingjupi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Viride), Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma), Huixiang (Foeniculi Fructus), Kulianzi (Meliae Semen), Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix), Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix), Shenqu (Massa Medicata Fermentata), Damai (Hordei Fructus Germinatus), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix, each 0.5 liang).
Grind the above herbs together into a fine powder. When the patient has symptoms, take three ping qian (approximately three qian) for regular use; normally, only take two qian. Use two cun of scallion white, crushed, add one zhan of water, decoct together until reduced to seven tenths, add half a qian of salt, mix with the dregs, and take immediately.
Treats extreme cold in the zang and fu organs, as well as mouth ulcers, diarrhea, undigested food in stool, loss of taste in food, emaciation and frailty of muscles, irritability, postpartum deficiency-cold diarrhea, and other conditions caused by long-term cold injury.
Poguzhi (Psoraleae Fructus), Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix, each 1 liang), Liangjiang (Alpiniae Officinarum Rhizoma), Suosharen (Amomi Fructus Rotundus), Houpo (Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex), ChiShaoyao (Paeoniae Radix Rubra), Guizhi (Cinnamomi Ramulus), Chenjupi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), Wuzhuyu (Evodiae Fructus).
Grind the above herbs into a fine powder. For each dose of three qian, use four liang of pig liver that has not been exposed to menstrual blood, remove the fascia, slice open, and layer with the medicine. Place in a ding vessel, add one bowl of jiangshui (fermented grain liquid) and a small amount of vinegar, cover tightly, and cook until the consistency resembles mulberry seeds (note: text implies forming pills or preparing a vehicle), then form pills the size of mulberry seeds.
Treats extreme deficiency-cold of qi, retention of phlegm-fluids in the chest, excessive phlegm causing heart and abdominal pain, shortness of breath preventing downward movement, abdominal distension after eating, deficiency-fullness, and accumulation of cold.
Liuhuang (Sulfur), Shizhongru (Lapis Gypsum Fibrosum), Wutou (Aconiti Radix), Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma), Wuzhuyu (Evodiae Fructus), Renshen (Ginseng Radix), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Shujiao (Zanthoxyli Pericarpium), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma), Saojiao (Gleditsiae Sinensis Fructus), Guizhi (Cinnamomi Ramulus), Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata, each 1 liang).
Grind the above herbs into a fine powder, mix with refined honey, and form pills the size of mulberry seeds. Take 10 pills per dose, washed down with rice water. Another formula adds Tianxiong (Aconiti Radix Lateralis Praeparata) and Chishizhi (Halloysit Rubrum).
Treats deficiency of yuan qi, cold attacking the lower jiao to the umbilicus, causing abdominal distension and fullness, severe pain, and pulling pain from the spleen, stomach, and intestines to the yin region, which is unbearable.
Huluba (Trigonellae Foenum-Graeci Semen), Huixiang (Foeniculi Fructus, each 1 liang), Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix), Guizhi (Cinnamomi Ramulus, remove coarse bark, do not expose to fire), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix, 0.5 liang), Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata, 1 liang), Awei (Asafoetida, 0.5 liang, ground).
Except for the herbs to be ground separately, pound the remaining herbs together into a fine powder. Mix evenly with the ground herbs. Add one and a half sheng of good wine, boil peach kernels until thick, mix with all herbs. If it does not form a cohesive mass, pound in a mortar three to two hundred times, and form pills (text cuts off here, typically implying size of mulberry seeds).
