Treating deficiency-cold syndrome.
Longgu (Dragon Bone), Doukou (Cardamom Seed), Liuhuang (Sulfur), Fuzi (Prepared Aconite Root), Ganjiang (Dried Ginger), Guizhi (Cinnamon Twig) (each one liang).
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder, mix with a paste made from boiled flour and water, and form pills the size of sophora seeds. Take thirty pills per dose, on an empty stomach, washed down with rice water.
First, refine Pi (Arsenic Trioxide) and Xihua (Tin Flower).
Regardless of the amount of tin, melt it in a new iron pot, discard the dross three to five times. For every one liang of tin, use five qian of Shuiyin (Mercury), wrap tightly in wet Jinzhi (Tendon Paper) (Ma paper is also good) for ten layers.
For every five liang of Pi, use four liang of Huangdan (Red Lead) (of good quality) and three liang of Xihua (Tin Flower), grind together until extremely fine. Use a jar that has internal flaws externally sealed and reinforced with salt-paper mud, and prepare a separate mud furnace, leaving a handle so the hand can feel the heat.
For every one liang of Chensha (Cinnabar), use one liang of Pi, crush and grind together until fine. Use one crucible, seal the exterior with salt-paper mud, dry the crucible first, then place the Chensha and Pi inside.
Remove to obtain Tin.
Method for refining Xihua (Tin Flower):
Take half a jin of Heixi (Black Raw Tin), melt into liquid using a new iron pot, pour onto a new tile over fire. Melt again and pour again, then only take the essence, five liang. For each liang of tin, use water...
Pishuang (Arsenic Trioxide) five liang (the finest and white as jade is best), Huangdan (Red Lead) four liang (bright color is preferred), Xihua (Tin Flower) three liang.
The above three ingredients are ground together finely, sealed with salt mud. Use one Zhou jar, preferably a crucible lined with melted gold and silver, thickness about three fen, dried, and heated by the bottom fire of a wind furnace...
Like amber.
Chensha (Cinnabar, the best among those without stone impurities), Hupo Pi (Amber Arsenic) (each five liang, stir-fry together then grind until extremely fine).
Seal and reinforce one crucible, also using salt-vinegar-paper mud. Inside the crucible, first apply thin mud mixed with vinegar three times, thickness like paper, wait until dry, then put in the powdered medicine, cover with five layers of good paper soaked in vinegar...

Granules.
Heixi (Black Tin) quantity not limited, melt into liquid using a thin iron pot, remove impurities on the ground three or two times, wait until impurities are clean, then melt again. Arrange more than ten sheets of paper beforehand, lightly spray with water...
Xihua (Tin Flower) three liang, Pishuang (Arsenic Trioxide) two liang, Huangdan (Red Lead) one liang.
Grind the above together and put into a crucible, place over fire, cover the mouth with a new tile, use three or four jin of charcoal... wait until melted into liquid, quickly pour onto clean ground, naturally becoming amber-colored.
