Feng Ni (Wind Reversal): Sudden swelling of the four limbs, a sensation of damp coldness over the body, occasional sighing accompanied by chills. When hungry, one feels irritable; when full, mood changes easily. Treatment involves selecting points from the Hand Taiyin Lung Meridian and its exterior-interior pair, the Hand Yangming Large Intestine Meridian, the Foot Shaoyin Kidney Meridian, and the Foot Yangming Stomach Meridian. For pathologies in the flesh, select Ying-Spring points (acupoints associated with the Fire element); for pathologies in the bone, select Jing-Well points (acupoints associated with the Wood element). (The Hand Taiyin Lung Meridian is interior, and the Hand Yangming Large Intestine Meridian is exterior; these two meridians govern Qi. Flesh corresponds to Earth, and Ying-Spring points correspond to Fire; Fire generates Earth, thus Ying-Spring points are selected to warm the flesh. Bone corresponds to Water, and Jing-Well points correspond to Wood; Water generates Wood. By tonifying the child [Wood] to fill the mother [Water], Jing-Well points are selected to warm the bone.) Wind invasion causes the body to arch backward (opisthotonos). First, select points from the Foot Taiyang Bladder Meridian and Chengshan (BL58); if there is cold in the blood collaterals, select Zusanli (ST36). (The Foot Taiyang Bladder Meridian runs along the waist and spine, hence the body arches backward. Select the Shu-Stream point generated by its meridian and the Chengshan point, which is central to the meridian's function. Observe if the blood collaterals appear black; if so, select the Shu-Stream point of the Foot Yangming Stomach Meridian, Zusanli (ST36).) Ping An: In *Ling Shu*, " " is written as "Jing" (spasm), and the words "Chu Xue" (bleeding) appear after "blood collaterals". In *Jia Yi Jing*, the characters "Chu Xue " appear after "blood collaterals".

The Yellow Emperor asked: A patient presents with physical lassitude, sweating profusely as if bathing, aversion to wind, and shortness of breath. What disease is this? The reply was: It is named Jiu Feng (Wine Wind). The question was: How should it be treated? Qibo replied: Use Ze Xie (Alisma Rhizome) and Bai Zhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), each in ten parts, and Mi Xian (Elsholtzia splendens), five parts. Grind into powder, take an amount held between three fingers, and administer after meals. (Sweating due to alcohol consumption followed by exposure to wind is named Jiu Feng. Taking medicine after eating is therefore called "Hou Fan" [post-prandial administration].) Ping An: In *Su Wen* and *Jia Yi Jing*, "Bing Zhe" is written as "You Bing", and "Wu He, Yi San Zhi Cuo" is written as "Wu Fen, He Yi San Zhi Cuo". Wang Bing's commentary in *Su Wen* states: "Medicine before food, then medicine after food, is called Hou Fan." This differs from the current annotation.
