(Indicated for menstrual disorders in women. Originating from "Su Wen: Fu Zhong Lun")
Engaging in sexual intercourse while intoxicated at a young age depletes Qi and injures the Liver, resulting in scanty menstruation or amenorrhea. Liver injury leads to blood exhaustion; through transmission between the Liver and Spleen/Stomach, massive blood loss occurs, causing dizziness, irritability, and thus amenorrhea.
Wumei Gu Wan (Cuttlefish Bone Pill) is indicated for treating blood exhaustion, characterized by distending fullness in the chest and hypochondrium, impaired appetite, olfactory hallucinations of fishy or foul odors upon disease progression, hemoptysis, secretion of clear fluids, and bleeding from both anterior and posterior orifices.
Qianru (Rubia cordifolia, Rubiae Radix et Rhizoma), Wumei Gu (Sepia Ecria, Cutulae Endoconcha) (each 1 liang).
Grind the above into powder. Mix with an appropriate number of Sparrow eggs to form a paste, and roll into pills the size of small beans. Take 5 to 10 pills per dose, administered with Bouillabaisse soup (Baoyu Tang), after meals. Adhering to this regimen yields excellent results.
