是必助其阳火，令防御其寒，从气之异同，而气味之少多可制也。同太阳之寒者，以气味之热而制化之，同
太阴之湿者，以气味之燥而制化之，异乎寒湿，而宜寒湿之气味者，宜少用之，同乎寒湿，
而宜热燥之气味者，宜多用之，寒热温凉，不可太过，故用凉远凉，有如上文所云也。
帝曰∶善。少阴之政，奈何？岐伯曰∶子午之纪也。少阴，太
角，阳明，壬子壬午，其远鼓，其化鸣紊启圻，其变振拉摧
拔，其病支满，太角，少征，太宫，少商，太羽。
子午属少阴，帝问少阴之政，故曰子午之纪也。少阴在上，太角木运在中，阳明在下，当壬子壬午之
岁，其远其化其变，与太阳少阳之太角同，其病支满，木克土也。太角少征太宫少商太羽，序同太阳，解亦同之。
少阴，太征，阳明，戊子天符，戊午太乙天符，其远炎暑，其
化暄曜郁燠，其变炎烈沸腾，其病上热血溢，太征，少宫，太商，少羽，少角。
太角之次，因言太征，少阴在上，太征在中，阳明在下，当戊子戊午之岁。戊为火运，子为少阴君
火，运合司天，故曰戊子天符，戊为火运，午为少阴君火，而午支又属于火，运与岁会，又合天符，故曰戊
午太乙天符，其运其化其变其病，与太阳少阳之太征同，太征少宫太商少羽少角，亦与太阳少阳之太征同。
少阴，太宫，阳明，甲子甲午，其远阴雨，其化柔顺时雨，其
变震惊飘骤，其病中满身重，太宫，少商，太羽，太角，少征。
太征之次，因言太宫，少阴在上，太宫在中，阳明在下，当甲子甲午之岁，其运其
化其变其病，与太阳少阳之太宫同，太宫少商太羽太角少征，亦与太阳之太宫同。

萧 ，其变肃杀凋零，其病下清，太商，少羽，太角，太征，少宫。

少阴，太羽，阳明，丙子岁会，丙午，其运寒，其化凝惨栗冽，
其变冰雪霜雹，其病寒下，太羽，太角，少征，太宫，少商。
太商之次，因言太羽，少阴在上，太羽在中，阳明在下，当丙子丙午之岁，丙为水运，水运临子，
是为岁会，其运其化其变其病，与太阳少阳之太羽同，太羽太角少征太宫少商，亦与太阳少阳之太羽同。
凡此少阴司天之政，气化营运先天，地气肃，天气明，寒交暑，
热加燥，云驰雨府，湿化乃行，时雨乃降，金火合德，上应萤惑太
白，其政明，其令切，其谷丹白，水火寒热，持于气交而为病始也，热病生于上，
清病生于下，寒热凌犯而争于中，民病咳喘，血溢血泄，鼽嚏，目赤 疡，寒厥入胃，

热气相交，则其病淋，目瞑目赤，气郁于上而热，凡此皆少阴火热之病也。
三之气，天政布，大火行，庶类蕃鲜，寒气时至，民病气厥心痛，寒热更作，咳喘目赤。
更，平声，下同。三之寒气，少阴君火，气合司天，故天政布，大火行，火气长万物而光明，故庶
类蕃鲜，三气应热，若寒气时至，则民病气厥心痛，因于寒也，且寒热更作，咳喘目赤，寒热交争也。
四之气，溽暑至，大雨时行，寒热互至，民病寒热，嗌干黄瘅，鼽衄饮发。
四之寒气，太阴湿土，四之主气，少阳相火，故溽暑至，湿气
胜，故大雨时行，大雨时行，气兼溽暑，故寒热互至，民病寒热，嗌干黄瘅，鼽衄饮发，湿热病也。
五之气，畏火临，暑反至，阳乃化，万物乃生，乃长荣，民乃康，其病温。
五之寒气，少阳相火，故畏火临，畏火临故暑反至，暑反至则阳化热，故阳乃化，阳乃化则万物乃生，
乃长乃荣，五之气，当九月十月，少阳寒气加临，故天气温和，而万物生荣，如是则民乃
康，若温热太过，则其病温。
终之气，燥令行，余火内格，肿于上，咳喘，甚则血溢，寒气
数举，则 雾翳，病生皮腠，内合于胁，下连少腹而作寒中，地将易也。
肿，当作冲。终之寒气，阳明燥金，故燥令行，上承五之寒气，属于少阳，故余火内格而冲于上，则为
咳为喘，甚则血溢也，终之主气，太阳寒水，故寒气数举，寒气数举，则天气昏 ，如雾
之翳，太阳之气，行于通体，故病生皮腠，从枢胁而下挟膀胱，故内合于胁下连少腹，而作寒中之病，阳
明寒气加临，不病阳明之燥，而病太阳之寒，以阳明之气，又主司地，司地之气，至终气而将易也。
必抑其运气，资其岁胜，折其郁发，先取化源，无使暴过而生
其病也，食岁谷以全真气，食间谷以辟虚邪，岁宜咸以 之而调其
上，甚则以苦发之，以酸收之，而安其下，甚则以苦泄之，适气同
异而多少之，同天气者，以寒清化，同地气者，以温热化，用热远
热，用凉远凉，用温远温，用寒远寒，食宜同法，有假则反，此其道也，反是者，病作矣。
太过则抑之，运气太过，故之抑其运气，不及则资之，故必资其岁胜，岁胜，岁所当胜也，当胜不胜，
故必资之，郁者发之基，故折其郁发，当先取化源而资之，无使暴疟太过而生其病也，食丹白之岁谷，以全
其真，食左右之间谷，以辟虚邪，岁当君火在上，宜食咸味以 之而调其上，火气过甚，则食火味之苦以
发之，金气在下，其气主收，宜食酸味以收之而安其下，燥气过甚，则食苦味
之寒以泄之，苦为火味，其性则寒，明其能发而能泄也。适，酌
也，酌其气之同异，而为气味之多少以制之，同天热火之气者，以寒清之气味制化之，同地
清凉之气者，以温热之气味制化之，更当用热远热，用凉远凉，而得其平也。

巳亥为厥阴司天之政，凡此丁巳丁亥，癸巳癸亥，己巳己亥，乙巳己亥，辛巳辛亥，皆主不及，故气
化营运，后天时而至，六十岁中，六气司天，气化营运，非先天，即后天，其中诸岁会之年，
则同正岁，诸同正岁，气化营运，同于天时，不先后也，厥阴司天，故天气扰。扰，风动也。少阳在泉，故
地气正。正，阳和也。风气在天，故风生高远，少阳之气，上合厥阴，故炎热从之，炎热从之，则地气上
升，乃为云雨，故云趋雨府，而湿化乃行，司天在泉，风火同德，故上应木之岁星，火之荧惑，其政挠，
风政也。其令速，火令也，其谷苍丹，木火之岁谷也。厥阴司天，右少阴，左太阳，皆主太，故右左间谷
言太者成熟也。厥阴司天，其气主少，故文彩之羽毛，角木之品类，皆耗散而不蕃聚也。厥阴司天，风气
主之，始则金之燥气胜，既则火之热气复，故风燥火热，胜复更作，燥胜热复，则蛰虫来见，而流水不冰，
少阳司地，故热病行于下，厥阴在天，故风病行于上，风气司天，燥胜火复，故风燥胜复形于中。
初之气，寒始肃，杀气方至，民病寒于右之下。
初之客气阳明燥金，故寒始肃，而杀气方至，肃杀之气近于寒，故民病寒于右之下。盖初之客气，从地
气而右迁，阳明居少阳之右，而在少阳之下，故曰右之下。上太阳阳明少阳，太阴少阴，皆言地气迁。至此厥
阴不言地气迁，则曰右之下，以明地气迁者，从在泉之位之右，在泉之位之下，而迁之，以为客气加临之始也。
二之气，寒不去，华雪水冰，杀气施化，霜乃降，名草上焦，
寒雨数至，阳复化，民病热于中。
华，花同。二之客气，太阳寒水，故寒不去，犹有华雪水冰。华雪，雪华也。水冰，水上冰也。杀气，
寒气也。寒气施化，则霜乃降，而名草上焦。名草上焦，由于寒雨之数至，客气值太阳之
寒，主气乃少阴之热，故阳复化，而民病热于中。
三之气，天政布，风乃时举，民病泣出耳鸣掉眩。
三之客气，厥阴风木，气合司天，故天政布，而风乃时举，泣出耳鸣掉眩，皆风病也。
四之气，溽暑，湿热相薄，争于左之上，民病黄瘅而为 肿。
四之寒气，少阴君火，少阴有暑热之热，今溽暑而湿热相薄，乃少阳在泉之气，与太阴相争于左之
上，上文阳明在少阳右之下，则太阴在少阳左之上矣，民病黄瘅 肿，湿热病也，以上客气加
Therefore, one must assist the Yang Fire (Yang Huo, 阳火) to enable defense against Cold (Han, 寒), and based on the similarities and differences of the Qi (Qi, 气), the quantity and quality of medicinal flavors can be regulated for transformation. For those identical to Taiyang Cold Water (Taiyang Han Shui, 太阳寒水), transform them with hot-flavored medicines; for those identical to Taiyin Damp Earth (Taiyin Shi Tu, 太阴湿土), transform them with dry-flavored medicines. For those different from Cold and Damp but suitable for cold/damp flavors, use them sparingly; for those identical to Cold and Damp but suitable for hot/dry flavors, use them abundantly. The use of Cold, Heat, Warm, and Cool should not be excessive. Thus, when using Cool medicines, avoid the Cool season, as mentioned above.
The Yellow Emperor said: Excellent. What is the administration of Shaoyin (Shaoyin Junhuo, 少阴君火)? Qibo replied: This refers to the cycles of Zi (Rat) and Wu (Horse) years. With Shaoyin Jun Fire (Shaoyin Junhuo, 少阴君火) at the top (Si Tian, 司天), Tai Jue Wood Excess (Tai Jue Mu Yun, 太角木运) in the middle (Zhong Yun, 中运), and Yangming Dry Metal (Yangming Zaojin, 阳明燥金) at the bottom (Zai Quan, 在泉). In Ren Zi and Ren Wu years, wind prevails greatly; the transformation manifests as sounds like ringing, chaos, opening, and cracking. If abnormal changes occur, they manifest as violent shaking and uprooting destruction. The disease presents as limb distension and fullness. This is due to Wood overcoming Earth. The sequence of Yun (Yun, 运) is: Tai Jue, Shao Zheng, Tai Gong, Shao Shang, Tai Yu.
Zi and Wu years belong to Shaoyin Si Tian. Since the Yellow Emperor asked about Shaoyin's administration, it is called the Zi-Wu cycle. Shaoyin Jun Fire is above, Tai Jue Wood Yun is in the middle, and Yangming Dry Metal is below. In Ren Zi and Ren Wu years, the movement, transformation, and abnormal changes are the same as those in Taiyang and Shaoyang years encountering Tai Jue Wood Yun. The disease is limb distension and fullness, caused by Wood overcoming Earth. The sequence Tai Jue, Shao Zheng, Tai Gong, Shao Shang, Tai Yu is the same as in Taiyang years, and the explanation is also the same.

Wu Zi year is a Tian Fu (Tian Fu, 天符) year, and Wu Wu year is a Tai Yi Tian Fu (Tai Yi Tian Fu, 太乙天符) year. The movement is hot summer heat; the transformation is warm, bright, stagnant, and sultry. Abnormal changes manifest as fierce heat and boiling. The disease involves upper body hot blood and hemorrhage. The sequence is: Tai Zheng, Shao Gong, Tai Shang, Shao Yu, Shao Jue.

The movement is rainy; the transformation is soft, compliant, and timely rain. Abnormal changes manifest as thunderous shock and sudden storms. The disease presents as abdominal fullness and heavy body. The sequence is: Tai Gong, Shao Shang, Tai Yu, Tai Jue, Shao Zheng.

In Geng Zi and Geng Wu years, it is equivalent to Zheng Shang (Zheng Shang, 正商). The movement is cool and crisp; the transformation is misty and dewy with desolation. Abnormal changes manifest as severe killing and withering. The disease presents as lower body clear/cold discharge. The sequence is: Tai Shang, Shao Yu, Tai Jue, Tai Zheng, Shao Gong.
Following Tai Gong, we discuss Tai Shang. Shaoyin Jun Fire is above, Tai Shang Metal Yun is in the middle, and Yangming Dry Metal is below. In Geng Zi and Geng Wu years, Tai Shang governs the Yun, and Metal Qi is strong. However, it is overlain by Jun Fire, so Metal does not become excessively strong, thus equivalent to Zheng Shang. Its Yun, transformation, and abnormal changes are the same as Taiyang and Shaoyang years encountering Tai Shang Metal Yun. The disease is lower body coldness, a condition of Metal Cold. The sequence Tai Shang, Shao Yu, Shao Jue, Tai Zheng, Shao Gong is also the same.
With Shaoyin Jun Fire above, Tai Yu Water Excess (Tai Yu Shui Yun, 太羽水运) in the middle, and Yangming Dry Metal below. Bing Zi year is a Sui Hui (Sui Hui, 岁会) year; Bing Wu year. The movement is cold; the transformation is congealed, miserable, and biting. Abnormal changes manifest as ice, snow, frost, and hail. The disease presents as lower body coldness. The sequence is: Tai Yu, Tai Jue, Shao Zheng, Tai Gong, Shao Shang.
Following Tai Shang, we discuss Tai Yu. Shaoyin Jun Fire is above, Tai Yu Water Yun is in the middle, and Yangming Dry Metal is below. In Bing Zi and Bing Wu years. Bing is Water Yun. Water Yun arrives at Zi position, which is Sui Hui. Its Yun, transformation, abnormal changes, and diseases are the same as Taiyang and Shaoyang years encountering Tai Yu Water Yun. In all these administrations where Shaoyin Jun Fire is Si Tian, the Qi transformation operates prior to the natural time. The Earth Qi is肃 (Su, 肃 - solemn/clear), and the Heaven Qi is bright. Cold intersects with Summer Heat; Heat adds to Dryness. Clouds rush to the Rain Mansion, Dampness transformation proceeds, and timely rain descends. Metal and Fire virtues combine, corresponding in the heavens to Yinghuo (Mars) and Taibai (Venus). The administration is clear, and the command is urgent. The grains are red (Dan, 丹) and white (Bai, 白). Water, Fire, Cold, and Heat Qi hold balance at the Qi intersection, becoming the beginning of disease. Heat diseases arise in the upper part; Clear/Cold diseases arise in the lower part. Cold and Heat invade each other and contend in the middle. People suffer from cough and asthma, hematemesis, epistaxis, diarrhea, nasal congestion, sneezing, red eyes, ulcers, Cold Jue entering the stomach, heart pain, lower back pain, abdominal distension, dry throat, and edema in the head.
Zi and Wu years are Shaoyin Si Tian. All Ren Zi/Ren Wu, Wu Zi/Wu Wu, Jia Zi/Jia Wu, Geng Zi/Geng Wu, Bing Zi/Bing Wu years are years of excess Yun. Thus, Qi transformation operates prior to time. Metal Qi is Zai Quan, so Earth Qi is solemn; Fire Qi is Si Tian, so Heaven Qi is bright. Shaoyin Hot Fire is above; Chu Zhi Qi has Cold Qi (Taiyang Cold Water), which is Cold intersecting Summer Heat. Yangming Dry Metal is below; Wu Zhi Qi has Cold Qi (Shaoyang Ministerial Fire), which is Heat adding to Dryness. Si Zhi Qi has Cold Qi (Taiyin Damp Earth), hence "Clouds rush to Rain Mansion, Dampness proceeds, timely rain descends." Zai Quan is Metal, Si Tian is Fire, so Metal and Fire combine virtue, corresponding to Yinghuo and Taibai stars. Heaven Qi bright means administration is clear; Earth Qi solemn means command is urgent. Grains are Dan and Bai, grains of Fire and Metal. Shaoyin Hot Fire Si Tian, Chu Zhi Cold Qi (Taiyang Cold Water), San Zhi Cold Qi (Shaoyin Jun Fire); this is Water/Fire/Cold/Heat holding balance at Qi intersection, starting disease. Fire Si Tian means Heat disease arises above; Metal Zai Quan means Clear disease arises below. Cold intersects Heat, Heat adds to Dryness, so Cold/Heat contend in the middle. Cough, asthma, bleeding, rhinitis, red eyes/ulcers are Dry-Heat diseases. Cold Jue entering stomach, heart/back pain, abdominal distension, dry throat, head edema are Cold-Damp diseases.
Chu Zhi Qi (First Phase): Earth Qi migrates, Dryness departs, Cold begins. Hibernating insects re-hide, water freezes, frost falls again, Wind arrives. Yang Qi is depressed. People wrap themselves tightly. Joints become stiff and fixed. Waist pain occurs. As Summer Heat approaches, sores and ulcers appear inside and outside.
Chu Zhi Qi Guest Qi is Taiyang Cold Water. Earth Qi migrates from Yangming to Taiyang. Removing Yangming Dryness, starting Taiyang Cold, so Dryness departs, Cold begins.
