金粟黄芽丹
又名太乙紫霞丹。此丹养火不计岁年，有起死回生之功，蕴脱胎换骨之妙。昔
真人张柏子所炼，皆此丹也。粒至小，功甚大，应诸虚百损，五劳七伤，八风五痹
冷，水肿蛊气，久痢久疟，一切男女老幼困笃之疾，百药不能疗者，悉皆主之。初
微扰，或欲吐泻，则是驱逐诸病，无病则不动，再服则不觉。经云∶服丹之人，能
断五腥，不食鸡、鱼、大蒜陈臭等物，当为地仙矣。若未免此，服及一两，延寿一
救惫扶危，卫生伐病，无出此丹之右。服时以平旦，取一粒在手内，搓令暖，置口
至十粒。或用枣肉丸，面东叩齿，密念咒曰∶返我常，归我乡，服之千日朝虚皇。
以井花水或人参枣汤送下。孕妇不可服。
此丹无方，惟有丹母，不知是何药修炼得成，修炼时，以大朱砂一斤抽汞，置丹母于鼎
内，

伤寒，四肢厥冷，不省人事。急用枣汤吞一二百粒，即便回阳，此药大能调治荣卫，升降阴
阳，补损益虚，回阳返阴。

腑滑泄，赤白下痢。久服通神，轻身不老，令人心灵。此丹按仙经服饵之法，会五行符合之
妙，体性轻清，不随烟焰飞走，男女老幼皆可服。

上二味，用新铁铫炒成砂子，或有烟焰，即以醋洒，候研细，入水火鼎，醋调赤石脂封

以前灵砂养火十二月，乃名岁丹。补诸虚用之，其功十倍。
三建汤
治真气不足，元阳久虚，寒邪攻冲，肢节烦痛，腰背酸楚，自汗厥冷，大便滑泄，
白浊。及中风涎潮，不省人事，伤寒阴证，厥逆脉微，皆可服之。
天雄 附子 大川乌（各炮，去皮脐，净称一两）
上锉散。每服四钱，水二盏，姜十片煎，不拘时服。气不顺，加木香、沉香，加丁香、

固真气，暖丹田，坚筋骨，壮阳道，除久寒痼冷，补劳伤虚损。男子腰肾久冷，心
聚，胁下冷癖，腹中诸虫，失精遗溺，形羸力劣，脚膝疼弱，冷风顽痹，上气，衄血，
寒热，霍乱转筋，虚滑下痢。又治痔 ，湿 生疮，下血不止。及妇人血结寒热，阴

震灵丹
此丹不犯金石飞走有性之药，不僭不燥，夺造化冲和之功。大治男子真元衰惫，五
伤，脐腹冷疼，肢体疼痛，上盛下虚，头目晕眩，心神恍惚，血气衰微。及中风瘫缓，
不遂，筋骨拘挛，腰膝沉重，容枯肌瘦，目暗耳聋，口苦舌干，饮食无味，心肾不足，
梦遗，膀胱疝坠，小肠淋沥，夜多盗汗，久泻久痢，呕吐不食，八风五痹，一切沉寒痼
服之如神。及治妇人血气不足，崩漏虚损，带下久冷，胎脏无子，服之无不愈者。

幼危急之证，但有胃气，无不获安。补损扶虚，救阴助阳，为效殊胜。
硝石（一两，同硫黄并为末，入定盘内，以微火温炒，用柳篦子不住手搅，令阴阳气相

透明不夹
上用五灵脂、青皮、陈皮为末，次入玄精石末及前硝石、硫黄末拌匀，以好酒醋打糊丸，

养正丹

不足，头旋气短，心神怯弱，梦寐惊悸，遍体盗汗，腹痛腰疼。或虚烦狂言，口干上喘
胃吐食，霍乱转筋，咳逆不定。又治中风涎潮，不省人事，阳气欲脱，四肢厥冷。如伤
盛，自汗，唇青，脉沉，最宜服之。及妇人产后，血气身热，月候不均，带下腹痛，
疗。常服，济心火，强肾水，进饮食。

敛阳丹
治诸虚不足，心肾不安，气弱头晕，自汗力倦，阳气不敛。安神益志，顺气调荣，

治真阳不足，上气喘急，自汗，盗汗，气短，头晕，但是阳虚气弱之证，并宜服之

茸附汤
治精血俱虚，荣卫耗损，潮热自汗，怔忡惊悸，肢体倦乏。但是一切虚弱之证，悉
之。
鹿茸（去毛，酒蒸，一两） 附子（炮，去皮脐，一两）
上锉散，分作四服。水二盏，生姜十片，煎至八分，去滓，食前温服。
桂附汤
治虚汗不止，及体虚失血，大效。
交趾桂（一两，去粗皮） 绵附子（一枚，炮，去皮脐）
上锉散。每服三钱，水二盏，姜三片，枣二枚煎，食前温服。
元阳秋石丹
治羸弱久嗽，针灸不效，头眩腹胀，喘满，积年肿满。年少色欲过度，未老眼昏，膝疼，
遗泄白浊，腰背时痛。服之，真还元卫生之宝。（如竹器损，以竹器补之。金器
补之。）
阴炼法∶
小便三五石，夏月虽腐败亦堪用。分置大盆中，以新水一半以上相和，旋转搅百匝，放
令澄清，辟去清者，只留浊脚。又以新水同搅，水多为妙，又澄去清者。直候无臭气再
以乳男子乳和如膏，烈日中曝干，如此九度。仍须待好日色乃和，盖假太阳气也。第九
丸之，如梧桐子大，曝干。每服三十丸，温酒下。
阳炼法∶
小便不计多少，大约两桶为一担。先以清水 好皂角浓汁，以布绞去滓。每小便一
桶，入皂角汁一盏，用竹篦急搅百余遭乃止，直候小便澄清，白浊皆淀乃止。徐辟去清水不
用，只取浊脚，并作一桶。又用竹篦子搅百余匝，更候澄清，又辟去清者不用。凡十数担，
不过取得浓脚一二斗。其小便须先以布滤去滓物，取得浓汁，入净锅内熬干，刮下，捣碎
。再入锅以清汤煮令化。乃于筲箕内布筋纸两重，倾入纸筲内丁淋过，取淋下清汁，再入锅
熬干。又用汤煮化，再根据前法丁淋。如熬干色未洁白，更准前丁淋，直候色如霜雪即止。乃
入固济沙盒内，歇口，火 成汁，倾出，如药生成涡，更 一两遍，候莹白玉色即止。细研
，入沙盒内，固济，顶火四两养七昼夜，久养火尤善。再研，每服二钱，空心温水下。或酒
、枣肉为丸如梧桐子大，每服三十丸亦得，空心服。阳炼、阴炼，日午各一服。又名还元丹
，咳嗽羸瘠，针灸不效，服此立愈。常病癫眩腹鼓，久之渐加喘满，经年垂困，服此有验。
皆只是火炼者，又传阴炼法云。须得两法相兼，其药能洞入骨体，无所不至，非惟治疾，可
以常服，有功无毒。火炼秋石，人皆能之，煎炼时大作炉鼎，煎炼数日，臭达四邻，此法极
费力。只一小锅便可炼，体如金石，永不暴润，与常法功力不侔。久病患只数服，极为神效
，实能再生人也。
灸法∶
肾与膀胱俱虚，灸肾俞百壮，穴在对脐两边向后夹脊相去各一寸五分。兼治便浊失精
五脏虚劳，痼冷，小腹弦急。梦泄精，三阴交二七壮，梦断，神良。穴在内踝上大脉并四
指是。
诸虚极，灸膏肓俞、气海穴，壮数愈多愈妙。
金粟黄芽丹
又名太乙紫霞丹。此丹能养护命门之火，不计岁月年限，具有起死回生的功效，蕴藏着脱胎换骨的奇妙作用。过去真人张柏子所炼制的，都是这种丹药。药粒虽然很小，但功效很大，适用于各种虚损、百种亏损、五劳七伤、八风五痹引起的寒冷证、水肿蛊胀气、久痢久疟，以及一切男女老幼危重困顿的疾病，凡是百药不能治疗的，它都能主治。初次服用时，身体可能会有轻微扰动，或者想要呕吐腹泻，这是药物在驱逐体内的病邪；如果没有病邪则不会有反应，再次服用就不会有感觉了。经书说：服用丹药的人，能够断绝吃五种腥荤食物，不吃鸡、鱼、大蒜及陈旧发臭等食物，就能成为地仙了。如果不能避免这些饮食禁忌，服用到一两重的剂量，也能延长寿命，挽救疲惫，扶持危急，保养生命，祛除疾病，没有比这丹药更好的了。服用时间应在清晨平旦之时，取一粒放在手心里，搓热后放入口中，最多可服至十粒。也可以用枣肉做成丸剂，面向东方叩齿，秘密念咒语说：“返我常，归我乡，服之千日朝虚皇。”用井花水或人参枣汤送服。孕妇不可服用。
此丹没有具体的配方，只有“丹母”，不知道是什么药材修炼而成的。修炼时，用大朱砂一斤提取汞，将丹母放入鼎内，（具体过程略）。萝卜汤引服，另有方法。
聚宝养气丹
治疗各种虚损不足，气血怯弱，头目昏眩，肢节倦怠，心志昏愦，夜间做梦遗精，小便滑泄，气虚。又治疗各种风邪导致的瘫痪，半身不遂，语言謇涩，肢体重痛，寒湿气痹。或者是久寒宿冷引起的泄泻、寒热往来，下痢赤白。以及肠风痔漏，下血不止。妇人子宫久冷，崩漏，带下五色，月经失调，胁肋刺痛，血瘕血闭，身体消瘦乏力，都一并治疗。
代赭石、紫石英、赤石脂、禹余粮（以上四味各二两，用醋淬，水飞处理，制成锭子，候完全干燥）、鹿茸（酒浸，炙）、远志、沉香、木香、乳香、黄芪（蜜炙）、山药、肉苁蓉（焙）、肉桂、巴戟天（各半两）、血竭、琥珀、朱砂、麝香（各三钱）。
以上药材研为细末，用糯米糊做成丸剂，大小如梧桐子，保留朱砂和麝香作为包衣。每次服用三十丸，空腹时，用人参汤或枣汤送服。
黑锡丹
治疗男子元脏虚冷，真阳不固，三焦不和，上热下冷，耳内虚鸣，腰背疼痛，心气虚，饮食无味，膀胱久冷，夜间多尿。妇人月经延期，血海久冷，恶露不止，赤白带下。以及阴毒伤寒，四肢厥冷，不省人事。急用时用枣汤吞服一二百粒，便能立刻回阳。此药大能调治营卫，升降阴阳，补益损耗，填补虚损，回阳返阴。
黑锡（洗净，熔化后去渣，称量）、硫黄（透明的，各二两）、附子（炮制，去皮脐）、破故纸（即补骨脂，酒浸，炒）、沉香、木香（各适量）。
以上用新铁锅按常规方法炼制黑锡和硫黄成砂子，在地上退火毒，从早到晚，研磨至极细。其余药材并杵罗为细末。空腹时，温酒送服。年高时有客热者，服用效果显著。
灵砂
性温无毒，主治五脏百病，益精养神，补气明目，安魂魄，通血脉，止烦满，杀邪魅。善于治疗营卫不交养，阴阳不升降，上盛下虚，头旋气促，心腹冷痛，翻胃吐逆，霍乱转筋，脏腑滑泄，赤白下痢。长期服用能通神，轻身不老，令人心灵。此丹按照仙经服饵的方法，符合五行相合的奥妙，体性轻清，不随烟焰飞走，男女老幼皆可服用。
水银（一斤）、硫黄（四两）。
以上两味，用新铁锅炒成砂子，如果有烟焰，就用醋喷洒，候研磨细，放入水火鼎，用醋调和赤石脂封口，控制火候。
人参（适量）
以此灵砂养护命门之火十二月，便称为岁丹。用于补诸虚，其功效是十倍于普通灵砂。
三建汤
治疗真气不足，元阳久虚，寒邪攻冲，肢节烦痛，腰背酸楚，自汗厥冷，大便滑泄，白浊。以及中风痰涎上涌，不省人事，伤寒阴证，厥逆脉微，都可以服用。
天雄、附子、大川乌（各炮制，去皮脐，净称一两）。
以上锉散。每次服用四钱，水二盏，姜十片煎煮，不拘时候服用。气不顺，加木香、沉香，加丁香、胡椒。
金液丹
固护真气，暖丹田，坚筋骨，壮阳道，除久寒痼冷，补劳伤虚损。男子腰肾久冷，心腹积聚，胁下冷癖，腹中诸虫，失精遗溺，形体羸弱力劣，脚膝疼弱，冷风顽痹，上气，衄血，寒热，霍乱转筋，虚滑下痢。又治疗痔漏，湿疮生疮，下血不止。以及妇人血结寒热，阴部病变。
硫黄（净，拣去沙石，十两，研细飞过，用瓦合子盛，以水和赤石脂封口，以盐泥固济，晒干。地上先埋一小罐子，盛水令满，安合子在上，用泥固济讫，慢火养七日七夜，候足，加顶火一斤，候冷取出，研为细末）。

以上为末，炼蜜为丸，每两作十丸。每服一丸，以水一盏化开，煎至七分，空腹，稍热服。
震灵丹

以上为末。以糯米为糊，丸如小鸡头大，晒干出光，每一粒。空心，温酒下，冷水亦可。常服忌猪血。
来复丹
此药配类二气，均调阴阳，夺天地冲和之气，乃水火既济之方，可冷可热，可缓可急。善治营卫不交养，心肾不升降，上实下虚，气闭痰厥，心腹冷痛，脏腑虚滑。不单问男妇老幼危急之证，但有胃气，无不获安。补损扶虚，救阴助阳，为效殊胜。

上用黑盏一只，火上熔黑铅成汁，次下水银，以柳枝子搅匀，次下朱砂，搅令不见星子，放冷。糯米粉为丸。心虚者，人参汤下。
玉华白丹
清上实下，助养根元，扶衰救危，补益脏腑。治五劳七伤，夜多盗汗，肺痿虚损，久嗽上喘，霍乱转筋，六脉沉伏，唇口青黑，腹胁刺痛，大肠不固，小便滑数，梦中遗泄，悦色虚损，肠风下血。
白石脂（净瓦阁起，火煅红，研细水飞，半两）、钟乳粉（炼成者，一两）、阳起石（用甘锅盛洗，用...）。
上各细研如粉，拌和作一处，令匀，研一二日，以糯米粉煮糊丸如鸡头大，入地坑出火毒一宿。
金锁正元丹
治真气不足，元脏虚弱，四肢倦怠，百节酸疼，头昏眩痛，目暗耳鸣，面色黄黑，毛发脱落，头皮肿痒，精神昏困，手足多冷，心胸痞闷，绕脐切痛，膝胫酸疼，不能久坐，弱隐痛，步履艰难，腰背拘急，不得俯仰，腹痛气刺，两胁虚胀，水谷不消，大便溏泄，呃逆恶心，饮食减少，恍惚多忘，气促顺乏，夜多异梦，心忪盗汗，小便滑数，遗精滑泄。切元脏虚冷，皆治之。
五倍子（四两）、巴戟（去心，十三两）、茯苓（四两）、葫芦巴（炒，半斤）、补骨脂（酒炒，五两）。
以上为末，入研药令匀，酒糊丸，梧桐子大。每服十五丸至二十丸，空心食前，温酒吞下，盐汤亦可。
四柱散
治疗丈夫元脏气虚，真阳耗散，两耳常鸣，脐腹冷痛，头旋目晕，四肢倦怠，小便滑泄，泄泻不止。凡脏气虚弱者，悉宜服之。
木香（湿纸裹，煨）、茯苓、附子（炮，去皮脐）、人参（各一两）。
以上锉散。生姜二片，枣子一枚，盐少许煎，空心，食前服。
敛阳丹
治疗诸虚不足，心肾不安，气弱头晕，自汗力倦，阳气不敛。安神益志，顺气调荣。
灵砂、钟乳（各研，取末二两）、金铃子（蒸熟，去皮核）、沉香（镑）、木香、附子（炮，去脐）、肉豆蔻、巴戟（去心。各一两）。
以上为末，研和令匀，酒蒸糯米糊丸，梧桐子大，日干。每服三十丸，空心，枣汤下，盐汤或酒下。
沉附汤
治疗上盛下虚，气不升降，阴阳不和，胸膈痞满，饮食不进，肢节痛倦。
附子（炮，去皮脐，一两）、沉香（锉，半两）。
以上锉散，分作三服。水二盏，姜十片，煎至八分，食前温服。
芪附汤
治疗气虚阳弱，虚汗不止，肢体倦怠。
黄芪（去芦，蜜炙）、附子（炮，去皮脐）。
上等分，锉散。每服四钱，水二盏，姜十片煎，不拘时服。
参附汤
治疗真阳不足，上气喘急，自汗，盗汗，气短，头晕，但是阳虚气弱之证，并宜服之。
人参（半两）、附子（炮，去皮脐，一两）。
以上锉散，分作三服。水二盏，姜十片煎，食前温服。
茸附汤
治疗精血俱虚，营卫耗损，潮热自汗，怔忡惊悸，肢体倦乏。但是一切虚弱之证，悉宜服之。
鹿茸（去毛，酒蒸，一两）、附子（炮，去皮脐，一两）。
以上锉散，分作四服。水二盏，生姜十片，煎至八分，去滓，食前温服。
桂附汤
治疗虚汗不止，及体虚失血，大效。
交趾桂（一两，去粗皮）、绵附子（一枚，炮，去皮脐）。
以上锉散。每服三钱，水二盏，姜三片，枣二枚煎，食前温服。
元阳秋石丹
治疗羸弱久嗽，针灸不效，头眩腹胀，喘满，积年肿满。年少色欲过度，未老眼昏，膝疼，遗泄白浊，腰背时痛。服之，真还元卫生之宝。（如竹器损，以竹器补之。金器损，以金器补之。）
阴炼法：
小便三五石，夏月虽腐败亦堪用。分置大盆中，以新水一半以上相和，旋转搅百匝，放令澄清，辟去清者，只留浊脚。又以新水同搅，水多为妙，又澄去清者。直候无臭气再入乳男子乳和如膏，烈日中曝干，如此九度。仍须待好日色乃和，盖假太阳气也。第九度丸之，如梧桐子大，曝干。每服三十丸，温酒下。
阳炼法：
小便不计多少，大约两桶为一担。先以清水淘好皂角浓汁，以布绞去滓。每小便一桶，入皂角汁一盏，用竹篦急搅百余遭乃止，直候小便澄清，白浊皆淀乃止。徐辟去清水不用，只取浊脚，并作一桶。又用竹篦子搅百余匝，更候澄清，又辟去清者不用。凡十数担，不过取得浓脚一二斗。其小便须先以布滤去滓物，取得浓汁，入净锅内熬干，刮下，捣碎。再入锅以清汤煮令化。乃于筲箕内布筋纸两重，倾入纸筲内丁淋过，取淋下清汁，再入锅熬干。又用汤煮化，再根据前法丁淋。如熬干色未洁白，更准前丁淋，直候色如霜雪即止。乃入固济沙盒内，歇口，火煅成汁，倾出，如药生成涡，更煅一两遍，候莹白玉色即止。细研，入沙盒内，固济，顶火四两养七昼夜，久养火尤善。再研，每服二钱，空心温水下。或酒、枣肉为丸如梧桐子大，每服三十丸亦得，空心服。阳炼、阴炼，日午各一服。又名还元丹，咳嗽羸瘠，针灸不效，服此立愈。常病癫眩腹鼓，久之渐加喘满，经年垂困，服此有验。皆只是火炼者，又传阴炼法云。须得两法相兼，其药能洞入骨体，无所不至，非惟治疾，可以常服，有功无毒。火炼秋石，人皆能之，煎炼时大作炉鼎，煎炼数日，臭达四邻，此法极费力。只一小锅便可炼，体如金石，永不暴润，与常法功力不侔。久病患只数服，极为神效，实能再生人也。
灸法：
肾与膀胱俱虚，灸肾俞百壮，穴在对脐两边向后夹脊相去各一寸五分。兼治便浊失精，五脏虚劳，痼冷，小腹弦急。梦泄精，三阴交二七壮，梦断，神良。穴在内踝上大脉并四指是。
诸虚极，灸膏肓俞、气海穴，壮数愈多愈妙。
Jin Su Huang Ya Dan (Golden Millet Yellow Sprout Pill)
Also known as Tai Yi Zi Xia Dan (Supreme One Purple Radiance Pill). This pill nourishes the Fire of the Life Gate (Mingmen, 命门) without counting years, possessing the power to revive the dead and restore life, and harboring the wonder of shedding one's mortal body and transforming into an immortal. In the past, the True Man Zhang Bozi refined this very pill. The pills are extremely small but have great efficacy; they address all kinds of deficiency and hundred types of damage, Five Labors (Wu Lao, 五劳) and Seven Injuries (Qi Shang, 七伤), Coldness caused by Eight Winds (Ba Feng, 八风) and Five Bi Syndromes (Wu Bi, 五痹), edema, Gu Distension (Gu Qi, 蛊气), chronic dysentery, chronic malaria, and all critical and desperate diseases affecting men, women, old, and young that cannot be treated by other medicines; it governs all such cases. Upon initial intake, there may be slight disturbance or a desire to vomit or have diarrhea; this is the medicine driving out various pathogens. If there is no disease, there will be no reaction, and upon subsequent doses, one will not feel anything. The Classics state: "Those who take cinnabar pills can abstain from the five pungent meats, do not eat chicken, fish, garlic, or stale and foul-smelling foods, and will become Earthly Immortals." If one cannot avoid these, taking up to one tael in dosage can extend lifespan, rescue exhaustion, support critical conditions, preserve health, and eliminate disease; nothing surpasses this pill. It should be taken at dawn (Ping Dan, 平旦). Take one pill in the palm, rub until warm, place in the mouth, up to ten pills. Alternatively, make pills with jujube flesh, face east, click teeth, and secretly recite the mantra: "Return to my normalcy, return to my homeland, after taking for a thousand days, I shall pay homage to the Void Emperor." Swallow well water or Ginseng and Jujube Decoction. Pregnant women must not take it.
This pill has no specific formula, only the "Dan Mother" (Dan Mu, 丹母), the source material for refining, unknown what herb it is. During refinement, one jin of large Cinnabar (Zhusha, 朱砂) is used to extract mercury, and the Dan Mother is placed in the tripod. (Details omitted). It is taken guided by Radish Soup, with another method existing.
Ju Bao Yang Qi Dan (Gathering Treasure Nourishing Qi Pill)
Treats various deficiencies and insufficiencies, timidity and weakness of Qi and Blood, dizziness and vertigo of head and eyes, fatigue of limbs and joints, confusion of mind and will, nocturnal emission during dreams, slippery discharge of urine, and Qi deficiency. Also treats paralysis caused by various Wind pathogens, hemiplegia, slurred speech, heavy pain in limbs and joints, and Bi Syndrome caused by Cold-Dampness. Or chronic cold and retained cold causing diarrhea, alternating chills and fever, dysentery with red and white discharge. As well as Intestinal Wind (Chang Feng, 肠风) and hemorrhoids, continuous bleeding. For women, long-standing coldness of the uterus, metrorrhagia (Beng Lou, 崩漏), leukorrhea of five colors, irregular menstruation, stabbing pain in the hypochondrium, blood masses (Xue Jia, 血瘕) and blood obstruction, emaciation and lack of strength; all are treated.
Dai Zhe Shi (Hematitum), Zi Shi Ying (Fluorite), Chi Shi Zhi (Halloysitum Rubrum), Yu Yu Liang (Kaolinite) (The above four herbs, two liang each, quenched in vinegar, washed with water, formed into ingots, dried completely); Lu Rong (Deer Antler without hair, soaked in wine, roasted); Yuan Zhi (Polygalae Radix); Chen Xiang (Aquilariae Lignum Resinatum); Mu Xiang (Aucklandiae Radix); Ru Xiang (Olibanum); Huang Qi (Astragali Radix, honey-roasted); Shan Yao (Dioscoreae Rhizoma); Cong Rong (Cynomorii Herba); Rou Gui (Cinnamomi Cortex); Ba Ji Tian (Morindae Officinalis Radix) (Each half liang); Xue Jie (Dragon's Blood); Hu Po (Amber); Zhu Sha (Cinnabaris); She Xiang (Moschus) (Each three qian).
Grind the above into powder, make pills with glutinous rice paste, size of Sophora seeds (Wu Tong Zi, 梧桐子). Reserve Zhu Sha and She Xiang for coating. Take thirty pills per dose, on an empty stomach, swallowed with Ginseng Decoction or Jujube Decoction.
Hei Xi Dan (Black Tin Pill)
Treats men's Yuan Zang (Primordial Viscera) deficiency and coldness, insecurity of True Yang, disharmony of the Triple Burner (San Jiao, 三焦), heat above and cold below, empty ringing in ears, pain in waist and back, deficiency of Heart Qi, loss of taste, long-standing coldness of the Bladder, frequent urination at night. For women, delayed menstruation, long-standing coldness of the Sea of Blood (Xue Hai, 血海), continuous lochia, red and white leukorrhea. As well as Yin Toxic Typhoid (Yin Du Shang Han, 阴毒伤寒), cold extremities, unconsciousness. In emergencies, swallow one or two hundred pills with jujube decoction to immediately restore Yang. This medicine greatly regulates Ying and Wei (Nutritive and Defensive Qi), ascends and descends Yin and Yang, tonifies losses, fills deficiencies, restores Yang, and returns Yin.
Hei Xi (Black Tin, washed, melted, filtered, weighed); Liu Huang (Sulfur, transparent, two liang each); Fu Zi (Prepared Aconite Root, peeled and de-navelled); Po Gu Zhi (Kochiae Fructus, soaked in wine, stir-fried); Chen Xiang (Aquilariae Lignum Resinatum); Mu Xiang (Aucklandiae Radix) (Appropriate amounts).
Refine Hei Xi and Liu Huang into sand using a new iron pot according to standard methods, remove fire toxicity on the ground from morning to evening, grind extremely fine. Grind remaining herbs into powder. Take on an empty stomach with warm wine. Effective for elderly patients with guest heat.
Ling Sha (Spiritual Cinnabar)
Nature is warm, non-toxic. Governs diseases of the five Zang organs and hundred ailments, benefits essence and nourishes spirit, tonifies Qi and brightens eyes, calms Hun and Po (Soul and Corporeal Soul), unblocks vessels, stops irritability and fullness, kills evil spirits. Good at treating disharmony between Ying and Wei, failure of Yin and Yang to ascend and descend, excess above and deficiency below, dizziness and shortness of breath, cold pain in heart and abdomen, regurgitation and vomiting, cholera with tendon contraction, slippery discharge of viscera, red and white dysentery. Long-term use brings spiritual clarity, lightens the body, prevents aging, and makes the mind agile. This pill follows the method of ingestion in immortal classics, harmonizing the five Elements, possessing a light and clear nature, not flying away with smoke or flame, suitable for men, women, old, and young.
Shui Yin (Mercury, one jin); Liu Huang (Sulfur, four liang).
Stir-fry the above two in a new iron pot until they form sand. If smoke appears, spray with vinegar. When ground fine, put into a water-fire tripod, seal with vinegar-mixed Halloysitum Rubrum, control temperature.
Ren Shen (Ginseng) (Appropriate amount).
Nourish the Fire of the Life Gate with Ling Sha for twelve months, then it is called Sui Dan (Year Pill). Used to tonify various deficiencies, its efficacy is tenfold.
San Jian Tang (Three Jian Decoction)
Treats insufficiency of True Qi, long-standing deficiency of Yuan Yang, attacking and rushing of Cold pathogens, painful joints, soreness and stiffness of waist and back, spontaneous sweating, cold extremities, slippery diarrhea, turbid urine. Also stroke with phlegm flooding, unconsciousness, Yin syndrome of Typhoid, cold extremities with faint pulse; all can take it.
Tian Xiong (Aconiti Kusnezoffii Radix); Fu Zi (Prepared Aconite Root); Da Chuan Wu (Aconiti Radix, prepared, peeled, de-navelled, net weight one liang each).
Cut into pieces. Take four qian per dose, two cups of water, ten slices of ginger, decoct, take anytime. If Qi is not smooth, add Mu Xiang and Chen Xiang; add Ding Xiang (Caryophylli Flos) and Hu Jiao (Piperis Fructus).
Jin Ye Dan (Golden Liquid Pill)
Consolidates True Qi, warms the Dantian, strengthens bones and tendons, boosts sexual function, eliminates chronic cold and stubborn coldness, tonifies labor injury and deficiency. Men's long-standing coldness of waist and kidneys, accumulation in heart and abdomen, cold masses in hypochondrium, worms in abdomen, loss of essence and urinary incontinence, emaciation and weakness, pain and weakness of feet and knees, stubborn Bi syndrome from cold wind, upward rush of Qi, epistaxis, chills and fever, cholera with tendon contraction, slippery diarrhea due to deficiency. Also treats hemorrhoids, wet sores, continuous bleeding. Women's blood stagnation with chills and fever, yin disorders.
Liu Huang (Sulfur, pure, free of sand and stones, ten liang, ground fine and washed with water, stored in a clay jar, sealed with water-mixed Halloysitum Rubrum and salt mud, dried. Bury a small jar filled with water in the ground, place the clay jar on top, seal with mud, nurture slowly over seven days and nights, when complete, add top fire of one jin, cool and take out, grind fine).
Take one liang of the above powder, soak one liang of steamed cake in water, squeeze out moisture, make pills size of Sophora seeds. Take thirty pills per dose, up to one hundred, with warm rice drink.
Fu Zi Li Zhong Wan (Aconite Regulate Middle Pill)
Treats cold weakness of Spleen and Stomach, abdominal pain, vomiting and diarrhea, cholera with tendon contraction, cold body with slight sweat, cold hands and feet. Fullness and counterflow in the epigastrium, borborygmus in intestines, incessant retching, inability to eat, and all deep-seated cold and stubborn coldness; all are treated.
Fu Zi (Prepared Aconite Root, peeled, de-navelled); Ren Shen (Ginseng); Gan Jiang (Dried Ginger, prepared); Gan Cao (Licorice Root); Bai Zhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma) (Each three liang).
Grind into powder, make pills with refined honey, ten pills per liang. Take one pill per dose, dissolve in one cup of water, decoct to七分 (70%), take on an empty stomach, slightly warm.
Zhen Ling Dan (Vibrating Spirit Pill)
This pill does not contain metallic minerals with volatile properties, is not excessive or drying, captures the harmonizing power of creation. Greatly treats men's true origin exhaustion, Five Injuries, cold pain in umbilicus and abdomen, limb pain, excess above and deficiency below, dizziness of head and eyes, mental trance, decline of Qi and Blood. Stroke with flaccidity, inability to move, tendon and bone spasm, heaviness of waist and knees, withered appearance and emaciated muscles, dim vision and deafness, bitter taste and dry tongue, loss of taste, deficiency of Heart and Kidney, nocturnal emission, hernia descent of Bladder, dribbling of Small Intestine, night sweats, chronic diarrhea and dysentery, vomiting and inability to eat, Eight Winds and Five Bi syndromes, all deep-seated cold and stubborn coldness; takes effect like magic. Also treats women's Qi and Blood deficiency, metrorrhagia and deficiency, long-standing cold leukorrhea, barren uterus; no case fails to heal.
Yu Yu Liang (Kaolinite, calcined, quenched in vinegar, repeated until crumbly by hand); Ding Tou Dai Zhe Shi (Hematitum with nail-like head, processed same as Yu Yu Liang); Zi Shi Ying (Fluorite); Chi Shi Zhi (Halloysitum Rubrum) (Buried underground to remove toxicity, each two liang).
Grind into powder. Make pills with glutinous rice paste, size of small chicken heads, dry in sun to remove moisture. Take one pill on an empty stomach with warm wine, cold water is also acceptable. Long-term use avoids pig blood.
Lai Fu Dan (Restoring Pulse Pill)
This medicine combines Yin and Yang, balances Yin and Yang, captures the harmonizing Qi of Heaven and Earth, is a formula of Water and Fire having achieved balance, can be cold or hot, slow or urgent. Good at treating disharmony between Ying and Wei, failure of Heart and Kidney to ascend and descend, excess above and deficiency below, Qi closure and Phlegm syncope, cold pain in heart and abdomen, slippery deficiency of viscera. Regardless of gender, age, or critical condition, as long as Stomach Qi exists, peace is achieved. Tonifies loss, supports deficiency, rescues Yin, assists Yang, with remarkable efficacy.
Xiao Shi (Niter, one liang, mixed with Sulfur into powder, placed in a scale pan, warmed over slight fire, stirred constantly with willow stick until Yin and Yang Qi merge into sand); Wu Ling Zhi (Trogopteri Dung); Qing Pi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Viride); Chen Pi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, transparent without oil, appropriate amounts).
Grind Wu Ling Zhi, Qing Pi, Chen Pi into powder, mix with Xuan Jing Shi (Mirabilite) powder and previous Niter/Sulfur powder, make pills with good wine and vinegar paste, size of pea. For infantile convulsions, long-term use harmonizes Yin/Yang, benefits spirit, disperses damp-cold in waist/kidneys, stops cold pain in abdomen/hypochondrium, immediate divine effect. Suitable for all diseases where Yin/Yang syndrome is unclear. Spiritual effects cannot be fully recorded.
Yang Zheng Dan (Nourish Righteousness Pill)
Expels evil, assists righteousness, aids Yang, connects to True Origin. Treats deficiency of Yuan Qi, interaction of Yin-Evil, deviation of Righteous Qi, excess above and deficiency below, failure of Qi to ascend/descend, deficiency of Heart/Kidney, dizziness and shortness of breath, timidity of Heart-Mind, dream-disturbed palpitations, generalized night sweats, abdominal and waist pain. Or empty irritability and wild speech, dry mouth and upward panting, vomiting food, cholera with tendon contraction, irregular coughing. Also stroke with phlegm flooding, unconsciousness, impending collapse of Yang Qi, cold extremities. If summerheat is severe, spontaneous sweating, blue lips, deep pulse, most suitable to take. Postpartum women with Qi/Blood heat, irregular menstruation, leukorrhea and abdominal pain; all treatable. Long-term use balances Heart Fire, strengthens Kidney Water, promotes appetite.
Shui Yin (Mercury); Hei Xi (Black Tin, cleaned, weighed, combined with Mercury to form sand); Liu Huang (Sulfur, ground fine); Zhu Sha (Cinnabar, ground fine, each one liang).
Use a black bowl, melt Black Lead (Hei Qian, 黑铅) over fire, add Mercury, stir evenly with willow branch, add Cinnabar, stir until no stars visible, cool. Make pills with glutinous rice flour. For Heart deficiency, take with Ginseng Decoction.
Yu Hua Bai Dan (Jade Flower White Pill)
Clears upper, solidifies lower, aids root origin, supports decay, rescues crisis, tonifies viscera. Treats Five Labors and Seven Injuries, night sweats, Lung萎 (Fei Wei, 肺痿) and deficiency, chronic cough and upward panting, cholera with tendon contraction, deep-hidden six pulses, blue-black lips and mouth, stabbing pain in abdomen/hypochondrium, insecure Large Intestine, frequent slippery urination, nocturnal emission, complexion luster loss, deficiency injuries, Intestinal Wind bleeding.
Bai Shi Zhi (Halloysitum Albidum, cleaned, calcined red, ground fine and washed with water, half liang); Zhong Ru Fen (Galactolite Powder, refined, one liang); Yang Qi Shi (Actinolite, washed...).
Grind all finely, mix evenly, grind for one to two days, make pills with glutinous rice paste size of chicken heads, bury in ground pit to remove fire toxicity overnight.
Jin Suo Zheng Yuan Dan (Golden Lock Correct Origin Pill)
Treats insufficiency of True Qi, weakness of Yuan Zang, fatigue of limbs, pain in joints, dizziness and headache, dim vision and tinnitus, sallow complexion, hair loss, itchy swollen scalp, mental confusion, cold hands/feet, chest stuffiness, cutting pain around umbilicus, soreness/pain of knees/shins, inability to sit long, weak dull pain, difficulty walking, stiffness of waist/back, inability to bend/extend, abdominal pain with Qi stabbing, empty distension of hypochondrium, indigestion, loose stool, hiccups/nausea, reduced appetite, forgetfulness, shortness of breath/fatigue, strange dreams, palpitations/night sweats, frequent slippery urination, seminal emission/slippery discharge. All Yuan Zang deficiency and coldness are treated.
Wu Bei Zi (Galla Chinensis, four liang); Ba Ji Tian (Morindae Officinalis Radix, de-heart, thirteen liang); Fu Ling (Poria, four liang); Hu Lu Ba (Trigonellae Semen, stir-fried, half jin); Bu Gu Zhi (Kochiae Fructus, wine-stir-fried, five liang).
Grind into powder, mix with ground herbs, make pills with wine paste, size of Sophora seeds. Take fifteen to twenty pills on empty stomach before meals, swallow with warm wine, salt water also acceptable.
Si Zhu San (Four Pillars Powder)
Treats men's Yuan Zang Qi deficiency, dispersion of True Yang, constant ear ringing, cold pain in umbilicus/abdomen, dizziness/vertigo, limb fatigue, slippery urination, intractable diarrhea. All viscus Qi weaknesses are suitable to take.
Mu Xiang (Aucklandiae Radix, wrapped in wet paper, baked); Fu Ling (Poria); Fu Zi (Prepared Aconite Root, peeled, de-navelled); Ren Shen (Ginseng) (Each one liang).
Cut into pieces. Two slices of fresh ginger, one jujube, a little salt, decoct. Take on empty stomach before meals.
Jiang Fu Tang (Ginger-Aconite Decoction)
Treats same as above. (Formula seen in Cold Damage category.)
Lian Yang Dan (Constrain Yang Pill)
Treats various deficiencies, Heart-Kidney insecurity, weak Qi and dizziness, spontaneous sweating and fatigue, unconstrained Yang. Calms spirit, benefits will, regulates Qi, harmonizes Ying.
Ling Sha (Spiritual Cinnabar); Zhong Ru (Galactolite) (Each ground, take two liang powder); Jin Ling Zi (Meliae Semen, steamed, peeled, pitted); Chen Xiang (Aquilariae Lignum Resinatum, sliced); Mu Xiang (Aucklandiae Radix); Fu Zi (Prepared Aconite Root, de-navelled); Rou Dou Kou (Myristicae Semen); Ba Ji Tian (Morindae Officinalis Radix, de-heart, each one liang).
Grind into powder, mix evenly, make pills with wine-steamed glutinous rice paste, size of Sophora seeds, dry in sun. Take thirty pills on empty stomach with jujube decoction, salt water or wine.
Chen Fu Tang (Aquilaria-Aconite Decoction)
Treats excess above and deficiency below, failure of Qi to ascend/descend, Yin-Yang disharmony, chest/diaphragm fullness, inability to eat, limb/joint pain and fatigue.
Fu Zi (Prepared Aconite Root, peeled, de-navelled, one liang); Chen Xiang (Aquilariae Lignum Resinatum, cut, half liang).
Cut into pieces, divide into three doses. Two cups of water, ten slices of ginger, decoct to 80%, take warm before meals.
Qi Fu Tang (Astragalus-Aconite Decoction)
Treats Qi deficiency and Yang weakness, incessant virtual sweating, limb fatigue.
Huang Qi (Astragali Radix, de-rhizome, honey-roasted); Fu Zi (Prepared Aconite Root, peeled, de-navelled).
Equal parts, cut into pieces. Take four qian per dose, two cups of water, ten slices of ginger, decoct, take anytime.
Shen Fu Tang (Ginseng-Aconite Decoction)
Treats insufficiency of True Yang, rapid upward panting, spontaneous sweating, night sweats, shortness of breath, dizziness; all syndromes of Yang deficiency and Qi weakness are suitable to take.
Ren Shen (Ginseng, half liang); Fu Zi (Prepared Aconite Root, peeled, de-navelled, one liang).
Cut into pieces, divide into three doses. Two cups of water, ten slices of ginger, decoct, take warm before meals.
Rong Fu Tang (Deer Antler-Aconite Decoction)
Treats joint deficiency of Essence and Blood, depletion of Ying and Wei, tidal fever and spontaneous sweating, palpitations and fright, limb fatigue. All deficiency syndromes are suitable to take.
Lu Rong (Deer Antler without hair, wine-steamed, one liang); Fu Zi (Prepared Aconite Root, peeled, de-navelled, one liang).
Cut into pieces, divide into four doses. Two cups of water, ten slices of fresh ginger, decoct to 80%, filter, take warm before meals.
Gui Fu Tang (Cinnamon-Aconite Decoction)
Treats incessant virtual sweating and blood loss due to body deficiency, highly effective.
Jiao Zhi Gui (Cinnamon from Cochinchina, one liang, remove coarse bark); Mian Fu Zi (Cotton-wrapped Aconite Root, one piece, prepared, peeled, de-navelled).
Cut into pieces. Take three qian per dose, two cups of water, three slices of ginger, two jujubes, decoct, take warm before meals.
Yuan Yang Qiu Shi Dan (Primordial Yang Autumn Stone Pill)
Treats emaciation and chronic cough ineffective to acupuncture, dizziness and abdominal distension, panting/fullness, chronic edema. Young people with excessive sexual desire, premature dim vision, knee pain, seminal emission and turbid urine, intermittent waist/back pain. Taking it is the true treasure for returning to origin and preserving health. (Like repairing a broken bamboo vessel with bamboo, or gold vessel with gold.)
Yin Refining Method:
Three to five shi of urine, even if spoiled in summer, is usable. Divide into large basins, mix with more than half new water, rotate and stir one hundred times, let settle clear, discard clear liquid, keep only turbid sediment. Stir again with new water, more water is better, settle clear again, discard clear. Until no foul odor remains, mix with male breast milk like paste, dry in strong sun, repeat nine times. Must wait for good sunlight to mix, borrowing solar Qi. On the ninth time, make pills size of Sophora seeds, dry in sun. Take thirty pills with warm wine.
Yang Refining Method:
Urine quantity unlimited, roughly two buckets make one dan (unit). First wash well with clear water and strong soap pod juice, filter pulp with cloth. For every bucket of urine, add one zhan of soap pod juice, stir vigorously over one hundred times with bamboo paddle until urine clears and white turbidity settles. Slowly discard clear water, keep turbid sediment, combine into one bucket. Stir again over one hundred times, wait for clarity, discard clear. For ten-plus dan, obtain only one or two dou of thick sediment. Urine must first be filtered with cloth to remove impurities, obtain thick juice, boil dry in clean pot, scrape down, crush. Add clear soup to dissolve, pour through double-layered筋纸 (fiber paper) in sieve, collect filtrate, boil dry again. Dissolve with soup, filter again. If color not white enough, filter again until color like frost/snow. Put into sealed sand box, stop vent, calcine to liquid, pour out, if medicine forms vortex, calcine one or two more times until jade-white. Grind fine, put in sand box, seal, top-fire four liang, nurture seven days/nights, longer nurturing is better. Grind again, take two qian per dose on empty stomach with warm water. Or make pills with wine/jujube flesh size of Sophora seeds, take thirty pills on empty stomach. Yang and Yin refining, one dose each at noon. Also called Huan Yuan Dan (Return to Origin Pill). Chronic cough and emaciation ineffective to acupuncture, take this for immediate cure. Chronic epilepsy, dizziness, abdominal drumming, gradually worsening panting/fullness, year-long distress, taking this has verified effect. All are fire-refined, but Yin refining method is also transmitted. Both methods combined allow medicine to penetrate bones deeply, not just for curing disease, but for daily use, effective and non-toxic. Fire-refined Autumn Stone is common, requiring large furnaces, days of boiling, stench reaching neighbors, extremely laborious. Only a small pot needed here, texture like metal/stone, never damp, power unmatched by common methods. Long-term patients need only a few doses, extremely divine, truly able to regenerate life.
Moxibustion Methods:
Kidney and Bladder both deficient, moxa Kidney Shu (BL23) one hundred moxa cones. Acupoint is on both sides of umbilicus, backward along spine, one inch five fen apart. Also treats turbid urine and loss of essence, five Zang organ deficiency consumption, stubborn cold, tense acute lower abdomen. Nocturnal emission, moxa San Yin Jiao (SP6) fourteen cones, stops dreams, divine. Acupoint is on inner ankle, large pulse and four fingers width.
All extreme deficiencies, moxa Gao Huang Shu (BL43) and Qi Hai (CV6), more moxa cones is better.
