洗方
治疗各种恶疮。黄柏、茵陈、荆芥、葱白、藿香煎水,温温淋洗。
Shenjiang San (Divine Descent Powder)
Treats wandering skin sores. Take a small handful of Sangjisheng (Taxilli Herba), a handful of Sanggen Bark (Mori Cortex), Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix), and Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma). Decoct in water. When the temperature is mild, dip a cloth in the solution to wash the affected area. Wipe dry all exposed parts, then apply the powder.
Saojiao (Gleditsiae Sinensis Fructus) (remove strings and seeds, burn until carbonized but retaining nature), Mazhudai (burned until carbonized - *Note: Text likely contains typo or obscure term*), Nonghuangbai (Phellodendri Cortex), Yingzhao Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma variant), Zhangye (Cinnamomi Cortex/Dried Leaf - *Context implies leaf*), Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix).
Grind the above ingredients into fine powder in equal proportions. Mix with clear sesame oil for topical application; it is highly effective. Strictly avoid consuming vinegar.
For frostbite, decoct Qiezi Gen (Solanum Melongena Root) strongly to make a wash, and apply Que'er Naosui (Passer's Brain Marrow) topically.
Another prescription: Treats frostbitten feet with sores. Grind Huangdan (Lithargyrum) into powder, mix with Zhizhi (Porcine Fat) for topical application.
Renmian Chuang (Human-faced sore): Grind Beimu (Fritillariae Cirrhosae Bulbus) into powder. Use a small reed tube to instill the powder into the sore opening. It will scab over and heal in a few days.
Bailai Chuang (White leprosy-like sore): Every morning, scrape off about one sheng of white skin from the sore, resembling snake shed skin. It is suitable to take Jiedu Xionghuang Wan (Detoxifying Realgar Pill). Three to four doses will bring relief. (See Wind Syndrome Heat Pattern section for formula.)
Lvfan San (Chalcanthite Powder)
Lvfan (Calcanthis, half liang, stir-fried until cooked), Lvhui (Aloe), She (Musk).
Grind the above into powder. Place the medicine in a silk bag. Insert the finger into the bag, tie securely with thread, and continue until healed.
Hufen San (Lead White Powder)
Hufen (Cerussa, stir-fried until slightly yellow), Bai Fan (Alumen), Huang Dan (Lithargyrum), Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma, cleaned), Qingfen (Calomelas, each two qian), Yanzhi (Vermilion/Rouge, one qian), Muxiang (Moschus, a little).
Grind the above into powder. First, wash and wipe the area with warm rice water containing salt. Then sprinkle the powder. If dry, mix with clear sesame oil.
Laitou Chuang (Ringworm of the scalp): First, use the patient's urine to heat a lead weight until red, then drop it into the urine. Wash the sore with this liquid to remove the crust. Wipe dry with a cloth, then apply drops of green ointment.
Severe itching of scalp dandruff/wind scales: Use Lizhugen (Veratri Radix) in any amount, grind into powder. Wash hair first, avoid wind. When hair is slightly dry, apply the powder firmly. Xu An Yao (*Text incomplete*).

Cut into coarse pieces for san (powder/decoction base). Take three qian per dose. Add one dan and a half of water, five slices of Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens), and two Zao (Jujubae Fructus). Decoct, remove dregs, add a little Rushi (Bisuthi Resina) powder to support Heart Qi.
Qingmuxiang Wan (Aquilaria Pill)
Guides out Wind-Water from the Kidney meridian. For edema caused by Kidney deficiency with pathogenic factors, mostly use Anshen Wan (Kidney-Anchoring Pill), occasionally use Qingmuxiang Wan as an adjunct, taken with salt water. Frequently effective. (See Large Formulas section on various hernias and deficiency syndromes.)
Xiao Niuhuang Wan (Little Buffalo Calf Gallstone Pill)
Treats Kidney deficiency with heat, causing itching, pain, and multiple sores on the scrotum. (See previous section.)

Dry Dafupi (Arecae Pericarpium), one sheng; Kushen (Sophorae Flavescentis Radix) and Jingjie (Schizonepetae Spica), two liang each. Decoct for warm washing. Wipe dry, lubricate with saliva. Next, burn Youfa (Hair Ash) until carbonized, mix with a little Baiji (Bletillae Rhizoma) powder for application. Wash and change daily in a sealed room. Alternatively, add Rushi (Bisuthi Resina) powder, still take Lafan Wan (Beeswax-Alum Pill), administered with rice drink and Hair Ash powder.
Shenzang Feng Fa Chuangjie (Kidney Wind Causing Sores and Scabies)
Jixin Binglang (Areca Seed shaped like chicken heart, two, cracked open, place three qian of Huangdan inside, wrap in wet paper and roast), Quanxie (Scorpio), Mingliuhuang (Sulfur, four qian).
Grind into powder. Add half a qian of Qingfen (Calomelas), a little Muxiang (Moschus), and half a qian of Qingdai (Indigo Naturalis). Store in a porcelain vessel. Apply a small amount mixed with clear sesame oil to both palms, then cover the external genitalia.
Another Formula
Da Hong Chuanjiao (Zanthoxyllum Fruit, remove eyes), soak in water for half a day. Grind raw Xingren (Pruni Armeniaci Semen) into paste with it. Rub on hands as above. Also effective.
Waishen Gan Chuang (External Genital Chancre)

Doufen (Bean Starch), one fen; Qiuyin (Earthworm), two fen.
Grind with water, apply. Reapply when dry.
Sores on Scrotum: Decoct Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) for warm washing. Then apply La Cha Mo (Aged Tea Powder) directly.
Sores on Glans Penis: Use Xi Luo Ke (River Snail Shell), preferably old ones from streams. Calcine in a crucible, grind into powder. First wash with salt water five to seven times, then apply the powder.
Du Jing Chuang (Jealousy Sore / Chancroid)
Use two large field snails. Calcine with shell until carbonized, grind into powder. Add Qingfen (Calomelas). Apply to the affected area. Relief follows.
Another Formula
Treats young men whose Yang energy rises but is not released, or forced release, causing tearing of tender skin. Initially like a pinprick. Due to fear of pain, one dares not wash or scrape. Over time, it invades flesh, causing ulceration of the penis for one to two cun. Decoct Jingjie (Schizonepetae Spica), Huangbo (Phellodendri Cortex), Mabiancao (Verbena Officinalis Herb), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), and Sheng Cong (Allii Fistulosi Bulbus) for washing to remove pus and crusts. Burn Hezi (Terminalia Chebulae Fructus) to ash, add a little Muxiang (Moschus), and apply dry powder to the lesion. Abstain from sexual activity for several months. Drink two or three mouthfuls of cold water before sleep to prevent the Yang organ from swelling and tearing the crust again. Once the crust hardens, it will heal.
Jintiao San (Saliva-Mixed Powder)
Treats Du Jing Chuang with dripping, foul-smelling pus.
Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma), Kudonghua (Farfarae Flos), equal parts.
Grind into powder. Decoct Goubipi (Phellodendri Radix) and Shechuangzi (Cnidii Fructus). Use soft cloth to dry the area, mix medicine with saliva, and apply. Most taboo is using raw water for washing. This applies to all sores.
Feizi Huashi Fen (Heat Rash Talcum Powder)
Lvdou Fen (Mung Bean Starch, two liang, thoroughly baked), Ruan Huashi (Talcum, one liang, ground).
Grind and mix evenly. Dust with cotton applicator. Add Nifen (Calomelas/White Lead) as an adjunct.
Shechan Chuang (Snake-Coiling Sore / Herpes Zoster): Grind Xionghuang (Realgar) into powder, mix with vinegar for application. Also take wine orally. All snake bites, bee/wasp stings, centipede bites, venomous insects, and mad dog bites can be treated similarly... (*Text cuts off*)
Feizi Yangtong Fang (Heat Rash Itching/Pain Formula): Mix fresh well-water with Qinghao juice (Artemisiae Annuae Herba) and Ge Fen (Clam Shell Powder) for application. Snow water is especially good.
Xi Fang (Washing Formula)
Treats various malignant sores. Decoct Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex), Yichen (Capillaris Herba), Jingjie (Schizonepetae Spica), Congbai (Allii Fistulosi Bulbus), and Huoxiang (Pogostemonis Herba) in water. Wash with lukewarm water.
