Ge Gen Tang (Kudzu Decoction)
Treats Jiu Dan (Alcohol Jaundice). Following improper use of purgative methods, it may persist for a long time and transform into Hei Dan (Black Jaundice), presenting with bluish eyes, black complexion, a sensation in the heart as if eating chopped leeks, pure black stool, possibly abnormal urine, and a pulse that is faint and rapid. Generally speaking, among the five types of jaundice, Jiu Dan has the most variations. This is because wine, as a substance, varies according to individual constitution; some can drink a dan without getting drunk, while others become disoriented after merely moistening their lips. Wine is formed through fermentation and contains intense heat toxicity. When it penetrates the hundred vessels to cause disease, jaundice may not necessarily appear; instead, it may overflow onto the skin causing swelling, or flow into the clear qi pathways resulting in yellow eyes and swollen nose, with various symptoms. Therefore, in the discussion of formulas, besides Jiu Dan, there are also Rou Dan (Meat Jaundice), Hei Dan (Black Jaundice), Pi Dan (Mass Jaundice), and Nü Lao Dan (Female Exhaustion Jaundice).
Ge Gen (Puerariae Radix, 1 liang), Zhi Shi (Immature Bitter Orange Fruit, prepared by removing the pith and stir-frying with bran, 1 liang), Zhi Zi Ren (Gardenia Seed, 1 liang), Chi Shi (Prepared Soybean, 1 liang), Gan Cao (Licorice Root, honey-fried, 0.5 liang).
Crush these ingredients into a powder. Take 4 qian per dose, add 1.5 zhan of water, decoct until 0.8 zhan remains, filter out the dregs, and take warm at any time.
Jiu Zheng Huang Lian Wan (Wine-Steamed Coptis Pill)
Treats Jiu Dan (Alcohol Jaundice).
Huang Lian (Coptidis Rhizoma), remove the roots, net weight 4 liang, crush finely. Sprinkle with wine and soak overnight, dry, and grind into powder. Use millet paste to form pills the size of paulownia seeds. Take 30-40 pills per dose.
Liu Wu Yin (Six-Ingredient Drink)
Treats abdominal distension caused by Jiu Dan (Alcohol Jaundice).
Bi Bo (Long Pepper Fruit), Jing Jie Sui (Schizonepeta Spike), Bu Zhu Chuan Lian Zi (Toosendan Fruit, used with peel and seed), Sheng Jiang Mu (Old Ginger), Ruan Wu Mei (Soft Mume Fruit), Gan Cao (Licorice Root).
Take equal parts of the above ingredients, pound finely in a stone mortar, store in a porcelain vessel. Soak the herbs in the middle portion of one's own full bladder urine (discarding the initial and final streams), filter through two layers of cloth. Self-perception... [Text incomplete]
Ren Shen San (Ginseng Powder)

[Text incomplete].
Crush these ingredients into a powder. Take 4 da qian per dose, add 1 zhan of water, decoct until 0.7 zhan remains, take warm after meals and before bedtime.
Chen Sha Miao Xiang San (Cinnabar Wonderful Fragrance Powder)
Treats yellow jaundice caused by wine heat stasis in the Heart Meridian due to drinking and sexual activity. Add a small amount of Chen Sha (Cinnabar) powder. Take 2 qian per dose, plus Yin Chen (Artemisiae Scopariae Herba, 2 qian), three times daily. (See Formula in Xin Yang Category.)

Ru Shen San (Miraculous Divine Powder)
Treats jaundice from un-dispersed wine toxin, which over time infiltrates the clear orifices and flows into the clear qi pathways. It is appropriate to introduce medicine into the nasal cavity to drip out yellow fluid for cure.
Ku Hu Zi (Bitter Bottle Gourd Seed, shelled), Ku Hu Lu Zi (Bitter Calabash Seed, 3-7 each), Huang Shu Mi (Yellow Millet, 300 grains), An Xi Xiang (Benzoin Resin, size of two soap bean pods).
