黑者燥屎。唇青人中平满者死。怒气上冲唇青者，当平肝和胃。吐后唇白者，当养胃调气。
唇燥裂者脾热。唇口舌苔有断纹者死。唇缩气喘者死。唇肿齿焦者死。唇反舌缩者死。唇
吊齿燥下痢者死，人中反不语者死。
口中红吐血，又有痰涎而息轻者死。口如鱼嘴尖起者死。口中气出不返者死。口噤
难言者痉症，及痰厥中寒。环口黧黑者死。口酸者肝热。口甜者，脾热及痰。口苦者，心
热及胆热。口干者胃热。口臭及口淡者胃热。口辣者，肺热。口咸咽干者，肾热。口有血
腥味者，胃热。口不知食味者，津液伤。口中不仁者，外感。口难出言者，血少。口张
气直出者，死。口张脚肿，脉绝者，五日死。口目动摇不止者死。口燥齿干形脱者死。口
渴眼张，谵语身热，肢冷脉沉细者死。口语死者死。
初病齿缝流血，痛者胃火。齿燥脉虚者，胃痛。齿燥无津者热病。齿焦黑无垢者死。齿
垢灰色者死。齿如枯骨者死。齿生垢，发枯者死。齿长，发枯者死。
嘴唇发黑且痰多者，预后不良（死证）。嘴唇卷缩且咽喉疼痛者，预后不良。嘴唇干燥焦枯者，病邪在肌肉层。嘴唇外翻且舌头卷曲者，预后不良。嘴唇燥热、舌头干枯者，为脾经有热。嘴唇焦黑者，预后不良。嘴唇呈青黑色者，属寒证。嘴唇发黄者，为血虚。嘴唇外翻且肌肉肿胀者，预后不良。嘴唇和口角生疮且声音嘶哑者，为虫积。嘴唇青紫、舌头卷曲且阴囊收缩者，预后不良。嘴唇周围发青者，预后不良。嘴唇发黄者，为脾热兼血虚。嘴唇红赤且肿胀者，属热证。嘴唇焦红者，为脾热。嘴唇焦红色者，预后良好（吉兆）。嘴唇发紫者，为虫积。嘴唇苍白者，为失血或呕吐所致。嘴唇淡白者，为气虚。嘴唇和口唇俱黑者，预后不良。嘴唇和牙齿焦黑者，为燥屎内结。嘴唇青紫且人中穴平满者，预后不良。因愤怒导致气机上冲而嘴唇发青者，应当平肝和胃。呕吐后嘴唇变白者，应当养胃调气。嘴唇干燥开裂者，为脾热。嘴唇、口部和舌苔出现断纹者，预后不良。嘴唇收缩且气喘者，预后不良。嘴唇肿胀且牙齿焦黑者，预后不良。嘴唇外翻且舌头短缩者，预后不良。嘴唇吊起、牙齿干燥且下痢者，预后不良；人中穴反常且不能言语者，预后不良。
口中发红并吐血，同时伴有痰涎且呼吸微弱者，预后不良。口唇像鱼嘴一样尖起者，预后不良。口中气息呼出而不返回者，预后不良。牙关紧闭难以说话者，属痉病，以及痰厥或中寒。嘴唇周围黧黑者，预后不良。口中有酸味者，为肝热。口中有甜味者，为脾热及痰湿。口中有苦味者，为心热及胆热。口干者，为胃热。口臭及口淡者，为胃热。口中有辣味者，为肺热。口咸且咽干者，为肾热。口中有血腥味者，为胃热。口中不知食物味道者，为津液受损。口中感觉麻木不仁者，为外感病邪。口中难以发声者，为血少。口张开且气息直出者，预后不良。口张开且脚部肿胀，脉象绝灭者，五日之内死亡。口眼动摇不止者，预后不良。口燥、牙齿干枯、形体脱败者，预后不良。口渴、眼睛睁大、胡言乱语、身体发热、四肢冰冷且脉象沉细者，预后不良。口开目闭如死者，预后不良。
初病时齿缝流血，伴有疼痛者，为胃火。牙齿干燥且脉象虚弱者，为胃痛。牙齿干燥无津液者，为热病。牙齿焦黑且无垢秽者，预后不良。牙齿垢秽呈灰色者，预后不良。牙齿像枯骨一样者，预后不良。牙齿生垢且头发枯槁者，预后不良。牙齿显得过长且头发枯槁者，预后不良。
Those with black lips and excessive phlegm will die. Those with curled lips and sore throat will die. Dry and scorched lips indicate the pathogen is in the muscle layer. Everted lips and curled tongue indicate death. Dry lips and dry tongue indicate Spleen Heat. Scorched and black lips indicate death. Blue-black lips indicate a Cold syndrome. Yellow lips indicate Blood deficiency. Everted lips with swollen flesh indicate death. Sores on the lips and mouth accompanied by hoarseness indicate intestinal parasites (worm accumulation). Cyanotic lips, curled tongue, and retracted scrotum indicate death. Cyanotic perioral area indicates death. Yellow lips indicate Spleen Heat and Blood deficiency. Red and swollen lips indicate a Heat syndrome. Scorched red lips indicate Spleen Heat. Scorched pink lips are a good omen. Purple lips indicate intestinal parasites. White lips indicate blood loss or vomiting. Pale white lips indicate Qi deficiency. Black lips and mouth indicate death. Scorched black lips and teeth indicate dry feces retention. Cyanotic lips with a flat and full Renzhong (GV26) indicate death. Anger causing Qi to rush upward resulting in cyanotic lips requires soothing the Liver and harmonizing the Stomach. White lips after vomiting require nourishing the Stomach and regulating Qi. Dry and cracked lips indicate Spleen Heat. Lips, mouth, and tongue coating with fissures indicate death. Retracted lips and panting indicate death. Swollen lips and scorched teeth indicate death. Everted lips and short tongue indicate death. Hanging lips, dry teeth, and diarrhea indicate death; abnormal Renzhong (GV26) and inability to speak indicate death.
Redness in the mouth with hematemesis, accompanied by saliva/phlegm and faint breathing indicates death. Mouth resembling a fish's mouth, pointed and raised, indicates death. Breath exhaling without returning indicates death. Lockjaw (trismus) making speech difficult indicates Spasm syndrome, as well as Phlegm-Jue or Cold invasion. Dark black discoloration around the mouth indicates death. Sour taste in the mouth indicates Liver Heat. Sweet taste in the mouth indicates Spleen Heat and Phlegm. Bitter taste in the mouth indicates Heart Heat and Gallbladder Heat. Dry mouth indicates Stomach Heat. Foul breath and bland taste in the mouth indicate Stomach Heat. Spicy/pungent taste in the mouth indicates Lung Heat. Salty taste with dry throat indicates Kidney Heat. Bloody metallic taste in the mouth indicates Stomach Heat. Inability to perceive food flavors indicates injury to Body Fluids. Numbness in the mouth indicates external contraction of pathogens. Difficulty speaking indicates Blood deficiency. Open mouth with straight outflow of breath indicates death. Open mouth with swollen feet and absent pulse indicates death within five days. Unceasing tremors of the mouth and eyes indicate death. Dry mouth, scorched teeth, and emaciation indicate death. Thirst, wide-open eyes, delirium, fever, cold limbs, and deep-thin pulse indicate death. Open mouth and closed eyes resembling death indicates death.
Initial bleeding from gum margins with pain indicates Stomach Fire. Dry teeth with weak pulse indicate Stomach pain. Dry teeth without moisture indicate Heat disease. Scorched black teeth without debris indicate death. Grayish dental debris indicates death. Teeth resembling dead bones indicate death. Dental debris with withered hair indicates death. Elongated teeth with withered hair indicate death.
