This sore does not grow above the knee, but rather on the elbow. Its shape resembles a human face; in severe cases, it possesses a mouth, nose, eyes, and eyelids, all capable of movement, appearing as if expressing sorrow and suffering. If meat is offered to its mouth, it can digest it completely. The prescription is as follows:
Leiwan (Polyporus Umbellatus) 3 qian, Qingfen (Calomel) 1 qian, Baifuling (Poria) 1 qian.
Grind into an extremely fine powder, mix evenly, and apply to the affected area to eliminate the sore.
Xuefeng (Blood Wind, a skin condition caused by wind-pathogen affecting the blood level) mostly grows on the inner and outer sides of the thighs, extending down to the ankle bones. Its origin lies in a preference for drinking alcohol. Initially, the sores are small and itchy; over time, the itching becomes severe. The treatment method first requires abstaining from alcohol, then using internal medicine to tonify Qi and Blood, while simultaneously dispelling wind-dampness. Apply external plasters; recovery will occur soon. The internal prescription is:
Baizhu (Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome) 5 qian, Danggui (Angelica Sinensis Radix) 5 qian, Zuomuzhi (Ramulus Taxilli) 5 qian, Yiren (Coicis Semen) 5 qian, Fuling (Poria) 2 qian, Sheng Gancao (Raw Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) 2 qian, Bixie (Dioscoreae Hypoglaucae Rhizoma) 2 qian, Zexie (Alismatis Rhizoma) 2 qian, Rougui (Cinnamomi Cortex) 1 qian, Honghua (Carthami Flos) 1 qian, Huangqi (Astragali Membranacei Radix) 1 liang.
Decoct in water and take orally; more frequent administration yields better results. The external prescription is:
Qiuyinfen (Earthworm Excrement) 1 liang, Machixian (Portulacae Herba) 1 liang, Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex) 5 qian, Zhusha (Cinnabar) 4 qian, Xuexie (Dracaenae Sanguis) 3 qian, Wujiugen (Radix Eucommiae Ulmoidis or related species, contextually likely Wujiaopi or similar root used for skin issues, here translated as Wujiugen) 3 qian, Hufen (Lead Carbonate) 3 qian, Chaonao (Borneolum Syntheticum or Camphor, specifically refined camphor) 2 qian, Qingfen (Calomel) 1 qian, Shexiang (Moschus) 3 fen.
Grind together into a fine powder, blend with Tunzhi (Porcine Fat) to form a plaster, apply onto oiled paper, and adhere to the sore according to its size. Bandage externally, allowing exudate to drain. When changing the dressing, first wash the sore warmly with a decoction of Jinyinhua (Lonicerae Japonicae Flos), and it will heal in a few days.
Fanhuachuang (Flower-Flipping Sore, characterized by fungiform hyperplasia of granulation tissue) gets its name because the flesh inside the sore protrudes like mushrooms. Although painless, prolonged bleeding can easily lead to deficiency and damage. Treatment should focus on nourishing the Liver, tonifying Blood, and boosting Qi to support the Yuan Qi (Primordial Qi). External treatments include:
Wumei hui (Ash of Mume Fructus), applied topically. Or:
Machixian hui (Ash of Portulacae Herba), blended with Tunzhi (Porcine Fat) for application. For severe cases, use Tonglv (Verdigris) and Qianfen (Lead White) in equal parts, grind finely, and blend with Xiangyou (Sesame Oil) for topical application. Alternatively, crush Can'erye (Xanthii Folium) to extract juice, apply several times daily, which is also effective.
Sores differ between internal and external origins. Some arise from damp-toxin accumulating within the Zang-Fu organs and manifesting externally as sores; others result from trauma such as falls, bumps, scratches, or bites from venomous insects and vicious dogs, leading to wound formation. The primary treatment method is to restrain desires and be cautious regarding sexual activity. Internal prescription:
Renshen (Ginseng Radix) 2 qian, Baizhu (Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome) 3 qian, Fuling (Poria) 2 qian, Danggui (Angelica Sinensis Radix) 2 qian, Sheng Huangqi (Raw Astragali Membranacei Radix) 2 qian, Sheng Gancao (Raw Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) 1 qian, Chaihu (Bupleuri Radix) 1 qian, Banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma) 1 qian, Jinyinhua (Lonicerae Japonicae Flos) 5 qian, Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium) 0.5 qian, Shengma ( Cimicifugae Rhizoma) 0.5 qian.
Decoct in water and take orally, continue for four doses. External prescription:
Longgu (Fossilized Mammoth Bones or other fossilized bones) 2 qian, Ruxiang (Olibanum) 1 qian, Moyao (Myrrha) 1 qian, Xuexie (Dracaenae Sanguis) 0.5 qian, Qingfen (Calomel) 0.5 qian, awei (Ferulae Resina) 0.2 qian.
Grind into a fine powder. Then, take 1 liang of Huangdan (Minium, processed via water levigation), 1 he of raw sesame seeds (crushed into powder), and 3 liang of Sesame Oil. Boil together in a pot for several boils, add the medicinal powders; just before removing from heat, add Bingpian (Borneol) 1 fen and Shexiang (Moschus) 1 fen, stirring evenly. Use oil paper boiled in Licorice decoction on both sides, spread the plaster upon it. Before use, clean the sore with two green onion stalks. Then, decoct the dregs of the internal medicine in water and wash the sore once, before applying the plaster. It will heal in a few days.
