本症发生时，阴囊肿缒，如升如斗，不痒不痛。得之地气卑湿所生。故江淮之间，湫溏
之处，多感此疾。治用∶
香附二钱 海藻一钱
先香附为末，海藻煎酒，空心调下，并食海藻。
狐疝者，其状如瓦，卧则入小腹，行立则出腹入囊中。狐昼出穴而溺，夜入穴而不溺，
此疝出入上下往来，正与狐类，故名。方用∶
杜仲五钱 人参一两 肉桂 桂枝 小茴香 核桃各一钱
先杜仲捣汁，以凉水浣之，取汁一碗，纳诸药，水煎服。一服伸出，二服即消，三服痊
愈。
此疝小腹有块，直冲心胸，妇人患之居多最难医治。方用∶
补骨脂一斤 黑胡麻二两
上二味拌炒，去胡麻。取补骨脂研末，以酒为丸。服三钱，沸汤下。
诸疝名状不一，其痛在心腹者凡七∶曰厥疝，曰症疝，曰寒疝，曰气疝，曰盘疝，曰腑
疝，曰野狼疝。痛在睾丸者亦七∶曰寒疝，曰水疝，曰筋疝，曰血疝，曰气疝，曰狐疝，曰
疝。下方悉主之∶
蜀椒四分 桔梗 芍药 干姜 浓朴（炙） 细辛 附子（炮）各二分 乌头（炮）一

上末之，蜜和丸如大豆，服三丸，至七、八丸，日三。
怔忡之症，扰扰不宁，心神恍惚，惊悸不已。此肝肾之虚，心气之弱也。方用∶
人参 熟地黄 白芍各一两 生枣仁 麦冬各五钱 玄参一两 白术 白芥子各三钱
水煎服。

狐疝的症状，形状像瓦片，躺下时缩回小腹，站立行走时从腹部掉入阴囊中。狐狸白天出洞排尿，晚上进洞不排尿，这种疝气出入上下往来，正与狐狸习性相似，所以得名。方剂使用：杜仲五钱，人参一两，肉桂、桂枝、小茴香、核桃各一钱。先将杜仲捣碎取汁，用凉水清洗杜仲渣，取汁一碗，加入其他药物，加水煎服。服用一次后疝块伸出（复位），两次服用即消退，三次服用痊愈。

怔忡的症状，心神扰乱不安，精神恍惚，惊悸不止。这是肝肾虚弱，心气不足所致。方剂使用：人参、熟地黄、白芍各一两，生枣仁、麦冬各五钱，玄参一两，白术、白芥子各三钱。加水煎服。
When this syndrome occurs, the scrotum swells and hangs down, becoming as large as a sheng or dou (ancient Chinese volume units), without itching or pain. It arises from dampness generated by low-lying earth qi. Therefore, in the regions between the Yangtze and Huai rivers, where the land is low and marshy, many people contract this disease. Treatment uses: Xiangfu Rhizoma Cyperi (2 qian), Haizao Sargassum (1 qian). First, grind Xiangfu into powder; decoct Haizao in wine; take the powder mixed with the decoction on an empty stomach, and consume the Haizao as well.
Hu hernia (Fox Hernia) presents with a shape like a tile; when lying down, it retracts into the lower abdomen, but when standing or walking, it descends from the abdomen into the scrotum. Foxes leave their burrows during the day to urinate and enter at night without urinating; this hernia moves up and down, coming and going, resembling the fox's behavior, hence the name. The formula uses: Duzhong Cortex Eucommiae (5 qian), Renshen Radix Ginseng (1 liang), Rougui Cortex Cinnamomi (1 qian), Guizhi Ramulus Cinnamomi (1 qian), Xiaohuixiang Fructus Foeniculi (1 qian), Hetao Walnut (1 qian). First, crush Duzhong to extract juice, rinse the dregs with cool water, collect one bowl of juice, add all other herbs, decoct in water, and take orally. After one dose, the hernia reduces; after two doses, it disappears; after three doses, it is cured.
This type of hernia involves a mass in the lower abdomen that rushes directly to the chest and heart; it is mostly suffered by women and is extremely difficult to treat. The formula uses: Buguzhi Fructus Psoraleae (1 jin), Heihuma Sesamum Nigris Semen (2 liang). Stir-fry these two ingredients together, then remove the Heihuma. Grind the Buguzhi into powder, make pills using wine. Take 3 qian per dose, washed down with boiling water.
Various hernias have different names and presentations. Those causing pain in the heart and abdomen include seven types: Jue hernia, Zheng hernia, Han hernia, Qi hernia, Pan hernia, Fu hernia, and Yelang hernia. Those causing pain in the testicles also include seven types: Han hernia, Shui hernia, Jin hernia, Xue hernia, Qi hernia, Hu hernia, and [missing term] hernia. The following formula governs all of them: Shujiao Fructus Zanthoxyli (4 fen), Jiegeng Radix Platycodi (2 fen), Shaoyao Radix Paeoniae Alba (2 fen), Ganjiang Rhizoma Zingiberis Recens (2 fen), Houpo Cortex Magnoliae Officinalis (processed) (2 fen), Xixin Herba Asari (2 fen), Fuzii Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata (2 fen), Wutou Radix Aconiti (processed) (1 fen). Grind all into powder, mix with honey to form pills the size of soybeans. Take 3 pills per dose, up to 7 or 8 pills, three times daily.
Zhentong (Palpitations) is characterized by inner turmoil and restlessness, vague mental state, and incessant palpitations. This results from deficiency of Liver and Kidney, and weakness of Heart qi. The formula uses: Renshen Radix Ginseng (1 liang), Shudihuang Radix Rehmanniae Preparata (1 liang), Baishao Radix Paeoniae Alba (1 liang), Sheng Zaoren Semen Ziziphi Spinosae (5 qian), Maidong Herba Ophiopogonis (5 qian), Xuanshen Radix Scrophulariae (1 liang), Baizhu Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae (3 qian), Baijiezi Semen Sinapis (3 qian). Decoct in water and take orally.
