Use *Rumex japonicus* root (Yangti Gen) and alum (Mingfan) in small amounts, pound them together until mushy, wrap in silk gauze, and rub on the sores. Three applications will result in complete healing.
Another method uses powder of *Hibiscus mutabilis* bark (Chuanjinpi), mixed with vinegar and mercury until no stars are visible, then sprinkled on the sores; this is effective.

Formula for Biao Chuang: Treats sudden onset of Biao Chuang characterized by redness and ulceration. Apply cow dung burned to retain its properties (Cunxing).

When the sore head is black and deep, breaks open with yellow fluid discharge, and has thick pus around the edges, use snake skin burned to retain its properties, finely ground, and mixed with egg white for application.

Mix half a liang of Baijiaoxiang (Liquidambar resin) and two qian of Qingfen (Calomel), blend with pig fat or pig bone marrow, and apply.

The *Mingtang Jiu Jing* states: Children's ailments are detailed and profound; they silently endure illness and cannot speak for themselves, hence it is called the "Mute Department" (Ya Ke). Some diseases are contracted in the womb, others from wind invasion after birth. Attacks occur at unpredictable times, with varying cold and heat symptoms, and diverse clinical manifestations. Treatment methods rely heavily on moxibustion. However, different schools have varying acupoint prescriptions, leading to many errors in treatment. Now, based on the *Mingtang*, we have carefully selected 72 verified acupoints for children, all of which have been used and proven efficacious through repeated trials. Generally, the acupoint selection is similar to that for adults, differing only in the size of the moxa cone. For children, the moxa cones should be as small as a wheat grain. The following acupoint methods are attached.
