This condition occurs on both sides below the root of the tongue, shaped like a bell. It is not visible unless the tongue is lifted; only by lifting the root of the tongue can its shape be seen. This condition must not be treated with acupuncture. If mistakenly punctured and broken, it becomes incurable. The treatment method should employ Ganjie Tang (Licorice and Platycodon Decoction), added with herbs that soothe the Liver, clear the Lungs, dispel wind, resolve toxicity, invigorate blood, and transform phlegm.
This condition arises in the throat, either on the left or right side, appearing as a single patch. There may be two patches, one above and one below, with red filaments penetrating through the center of the upper and lower nodules, forming pus and blood. After rupture, they inevitably merge into one mass, still containing pus and blood. Once the pus and blood are discharged, recovery is possible; this belongs to Yang conditions. Treatment for the left side should focus on soothing the Liver, while the right side should focus on clearing the Lungs. Ganjie Tang (Licorice and Platycodon Decoction) should be used, added with herbs that dispel wind, raise yang, drain pus, and resolve toxicity.
This condition develops inside the laryngeal mirror area. Originally a single nodule, it ruptures into two pieces, becoming dark and ripe. Accompanied by foul breath, excessive phlegm, and hoarseness, this is an incurable condition.
This condition appears on the left and right sides of the pharyngeal tonsil/lymphoid tissue (Houzhong Jiji). Initially, nodules form. Afterward, the elevated tips are covered by white or yellow membranes. Acupuncture is contraindicated. This is caused by wind-heat toxins originating from the Liver and Lungs. Treatment should employ drugs that clear the Lungs and remove the membranes. Ganjie Tang (Licorice and Platycodon Decoction) added with Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix) and Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix) is most effective when taken.
This condition is triggered by epidemic miasma due to climatic factors. It necessarily presents with severe chills and high fever, trismus (lockjaw), black complexion, and weakness in the four limbs, where the hands cannot lift and the feet cannot rise. The head swells large as a bucket, and breathing is coarse and urgent. This is a fatal condition leading to death within three to five days; do not attempt treatment lightly.
This condition grows in the anterior middle part of the throat, inward towards the interior, presenting with two to five black spots, resembling black soybeans in size. This is transmitted from the Kidney channel and is an incurable condition; do not treat recklessly.
This condition arises in the pharyngeal covering area, shaped like a pine cone. If it grows downward like fish scales, accompanied by hoarseness and a black complexion, it is incurable.
This condition develops on the gingiva and buccal mucosa near the jaw joint. It resembles three to five fleshy sprouts, developing gradually. Puncture does not cause pain. This is due to internal injury of the Zang-Fu organs and is an incurable condition.
This condition originates on the tongue, growing into five to seven branches irregularly, exhibiting colors such as red, yellow, or white. Its shape resembles a lotus flower. Acupuncture is contraindicated. Patients suffering from this condition invariably experience severe tidal fever. Treatment employs Xijiao Dihuang Tang (Rhinoceros Horn and Rehmannia Decoction), added with Zhizi (Gardeniae Fructus), Lianqiao (Forsythiae Fructus), Bangzi (Arctii Fructus), and Huafen (Trichosanthis Radix).
