论曰肺气面目四肢浮肿者，其候咳嗽胀满，状如水气，盖肺主气，气为阳，阳体轻虚，
为寒所折，攻发于外，散于皮肤，气逆浮肿，内经论久嗽不已，则三焦受之，三焦咳状，咳
而腹满，不欲饮食，此皆寒气聚于胃，关于肺，使人多涕唾而面目浮肿气逆也。
治肺气咳嗽，面目虚肿，大便秘涩，葶苈丸方
甜葶苈（隔纸炒二两） 防己（半两） 桑根白皮（锉炒三分） 郁李仁（汤浸去皮炒
二两）
上四味，捣罗为末，煮枣肉和丸，如梧桐子大，每服二十丸，生姜汤下，不拘时候。
治肺盛上气，胸胁胀满，身面浮肿，泻肺汤方
葶苈子（隔纸炒捣如泥半两） 大枣（劈取肉二十枚） 桑根白皮（锉一两）
上三味，先将枣并桑白皮，用水二升，煮取一升去滓，次纳葶苈子，同煎取八合，分温
水五服，以利为效。
治肺气面目浮肿，咳嗽烦热，心腹壅滞，胸膈气促，郁李仁汤方
郁李仁（汤浸去皮尖炒二两） 赤茯苓（去黑皮） 贝母（炒） 防己 商陆 杏仁（汤
浸去皮尖双仁麸炒） 紫苏茎叶 桑根白皮（锉） 陈橘皮（汤浸去白焙） 木香 槟榔（锉
各一两）
上一十一味，粗捣筛，每服四钱匕，以水一大盏，入生姜一枣大拍碎，枣三枚劈，煎至
七分，去滓，不拘时候温服。
治肺气喘息，面目浮肿，葶苈丸方
葶历子（隔纸炒） 陈橘皮（汤浸去白焙） 柴胡（去苗） 枣肉（研各一两）
上四味，先捣前三味，细罗为末，炼蜜与枣肉为丸，如梧桐子大，每服空腹，煎杏仁汤，
下二十丸，日二。
治肺气咳嗽，面目浮肿，涕唾稠粘，不可喘息，葶苈饮方
葶苈（隔纸炒研如泥一两） 桑根白皮（锉） 紫菀（去土各一两半） 槟榔（锉三枚）
木通（锉一两半
上六味，除研者外，粗捣筛，再和匀，每服五钱匕，水一盏半，煎至一盏，去滓食后温
服，日二。
治肺脏虚实不调，痰滞喘嗽，面目浮肿，颊赤虚烦，马兜铃汤方
马兜铃 麻黄（去节） 五味子（炒） 甘草（炙各一两）
上四味，粗捣筛，每服三钱匕，水一盏，入沙糖少许，同煎至六分，食后临卧，去滓温
服。
治肺气咳嗽面肿，四肢浮，独圣饼子
蛤蚧一对（雌雄头尾全者净洗用法酒和蜜涂炙熟） 人参（紫团参一株如人形良）
上二味，捣罗为末，熔蜡四两，滤去滓，和药末，作六饼子，每服空心用糯米作薄粥一
盏，投药一饼，趁热细细呷之。
治肺气胸胁通身肿胀，方
葶苈子（隔纸炒令紫色三两）
上一味，捣碎，先以水三升，煮大枣三十枚，取汁一升，次纳药一枣大许，同煎至七合
，顿服。
治肺脏积壅，气滞不通，面目浮肿，两鼻生疮，杏仁散方
杏仁 葶苈（隔纸炒） 马兜铃 柴胡（去苗） 麻黄（去根节煎去沫） 射干 贝母
（去心各一分）
上九味，捣罗为末，每服二钱匕，食后以绵裹含化咽津。
论述说：肺气失调导致面目和四肢浮肿的病症，其表现为咳嗽、胸腹胀满，症状类似水气病。这是因为肺主气，气属阳，阳气性质轻清虚浮，若被寒邪遏制，寒气攻发于体表，散溢于皮肤之间，导致气机逆乱而浮肿。《内经》论述久咳不愈，则病邪传入三焦；三焦咳的症状是咳嗽伴有腹部胀满，不想进食。这些情况都是因为寒气聚集在胃，牵连到肺，使人多涕唾且面目浮肿、气机上逆。
治疗肺气咳嗽、面目虚肿、大便秘结涩滞的葶苈丸方：
甜葶苈（隔纸炒制二两）、防己（半两）、桑根白皮（锉碎后炒制三分）、郁李仁（热水浸泡去皮后炒制二两）。
以上四味药，捣碎过筛成粉末，用煮熟的枣肉调和制成丸剂，大小如梧桐子。每次服用二十丸，用生姜汤送服，不限定时间。
治疗肺热盛、上气、胸胁胀满、身面浮肿的泻肺汤方：
葶苈子（隔纸炒制后捣成泥状半两）、大枣（劈开取肉二十枚）、桑根白皮（锉碎一两）。
以上三味药，先将大枣和桑白皮放入水中二升，煮取一升药液，去渣；然后加入葶苈子，共同煎煮取八合药液，分五次温服，以大便通畅为见效标准。
治疗肺气失调致面目浮肿、咳嗽烦热、心腹壅滞、胸膈气促的郁李仁汤方：
郁李仁（热水浸泡去皮尖后炒制二两）、赤茯苓（去掉黑皮）、贝母（炒制）、防己、商陆、杏仁（热水浸泡去皮尖双仁后用麸皮炒制）、紫苏茎叶、桑根白皮（锉碎）、陈橘皮（热水浸泡去掉白色部分后焙干）、木香、槟榔（锉碎，各一两）。
以上十一味药，粗捣过筛。每次服用四钱匕，用水一大盏，加入拍碎的生姜一块（如枣大小）、劈开的红枣三枚，煎至七分水量，去渣，不限时间温服。
治疗肺气喘息、面目浮肿的葶苈丸方：
葶苈子（隔纸炒制）、陈橘皮（热水浸泡去掉白色部分后焙干）、柴胡（去掉苗头）、枣肉（研细，各一两）。
以上四味药，先将前三味药捣碎过细罗成粉末，用炼蜜和枣肉调和制成丸剂，大小如梧桐子。每次空腹时，煎杏仁汤送服二十丸，每日两次。
治疗肺气咳嗽、面目浮肿、涕唾稠粘、不能喘息的葶苈饮方：
葶苈（隔纸炒制后研成泥状一两）、桑根白皮（锉碎）、紫菀（去土，各一两半）、槟榔（锉碎三枚）、木通（锉碎一两半）。
以上六味药，除已研末者外，其余粗捣过筛，再混合均匀。每次服用五钱匕，用水一盏半，煎至一盏，去渣，饭后温服，每日两次。
治疗肺脏虚实不调、痰滞喘嗽、面目浮肿、脸颊发红、虚烦的马兜铃汤方：
马兜铃、麻黄（去掉节）、五味子（炒制）、甘草（炙制，各一两）。
以上四味药，粗捣过筛。每次服用三钱匕，用水一盏，加入少许砂糖，共同煎至六分水量，饭后及睡前去渣温服。
治疗肺气咳嗽、面部肿胀、四肢浮肿的独圣饼子：
蛤蚧一对（雌雄头尾俱全者，洗净，用法酒和蜜涂抹后烤熟）、人参（紫团参一株，形状像人形的为佳）。
以上两味药，捣碎过筛成粉末，熔化蜡四两，滤去渣滓，与药末混合，制成六个饼子。每次空腹时，用糯米煮薄粥一盏，投入一个药饼，趁热细细呷服。
治疗肺气胸胁及全身肿胀的方剂：
葶苈子（隔纸炒至紫色三两）。
以上一味药，捣碎。先用水三升，煮大枣三十枚，取汁一升；然后加入约枣核大小的药末，共同煎至七合，一次性服用。
治疗肺脏积滞壅塞、气机阻滞不通、面目浮肿、两鼻生疮的杏仁散方：
杏仁、葶苈（隔纸炒制）、马兜铃、柴胡（去掉苗头）、麻黄（去掉根节，煎煮去沫）、射干、贝母（去掉心，各一分）。
以上九味药，捣碎过筛成粉末。每次服用二钱匕，饭后用棉布包裹含在口中，化开后咽下津液。
Discourse states: The condition of lung qi dysfunction leading to edema of the face, eyes, and four limbs presents with coughing, chest and abdominal distension, resembling water qi disease. This is because the Lung governs Qi; Qi belongs to Yang, and the nature of Yang is light, clear, and void. If constrained by Cold Evil, the pathogen attacks outwardly and disperses into the skin, causing Qi rebellion and edema. The *Neijing* discusses that prolonged coughing not resolving will transmit to the Sanjiao (Triple Burner); the manifestation of Sanjiao cough includes coughing accompanied by abdominal fullness and loss of appetite. These conditions all arise from Cold Evil gathering in the Stomach and affecting the Lung, causing excessive phlegm and saliva, facial edema, and rebellious Qi.
Tingli Wan Formula for treating Lung Qi cough, flaccid edema of the face and eyes, and constipation:
Tian Ting Li (Thladianth Semen, 甜葶苈) (stir-fried between paper, 2 liang), Fang Ji (Stephaniae Tetrandrae Radix, 防己) (0.5 liang), Sang Gen Bai Pi (Mori Cortex, 桑根白皮) (cut and stir-fried, 3 fen), Yu Li Ren (Prunus Persica Var. Complanata Semen, 郁李仁) (soaked in hot water, peeled, stir-fried, 2 liang).
The above four herbs are crushed, sieved into powder, and mixed with paste made from boiled jujube flesh to form pills the size of Sophora seeds. Take 20 pills per dose, administered with Ginger Decoction, at any time.
Xie Fei Tang Formula for treating excess heat in the Lung with rebellious Qi, distension and fullness of the chest and hypochondrium, and edema of the body and face:
Ting Li Zi (Descurainiae Semen seu Lepidii Semen, 葶苈子) (stir-fried between paper, pounded into paste, 0.5 liang), Da Zao (Jujubae Fructus, 大枣) (split, flesh taken, 20 pieces), Sang Gen Bai Pi (Mori Cortex, 桑根白皮) (cut, 1 liang).
The above three herbs: first, boil the jujubes and Mori Cortex in 2 sheng of water until reduced to 1 sheng, then strain. Next, add Descurainiae Semen, and decoct together to obtain 8 he. Divide into five warm doses. Effect is indicated by bowel movement.
Yuli Ren Tang Formula for treating Lung Qi dysfunction with facial edema, cough with irritability and heat, stagnation in the heart and abdomen, and shortness of breath in the chest and diaphragm:
Yu Li Ren (Prunus Persica Var. Complanata Semen, 郁李仁) (soaked in hot water, peel and tip removed, stir-fried, 2 liang), Chi Fu Ling (Poria Cocos with Red Skin, 赤茯苓) (black skin removed), Bei Mu (Fritillariae Cirrhosae Bulbus, 贝母) (stir-fried), Fang Ji (Stephaniae Tetrandrae Radix, 防己), Shang Lu (Phytolaccae Radix, 商陆), Xing Ren (Armeniacae Semen Amarum, 杏仁) (soaked in hot water, peel and tip removed, double-kernel, bran-stir-fried), Zi Su Jing Ye (Perillae Caulis et Folium, 紫苏茎叶), Sang Gen Bai Pi (Mori Cortex, 桑根白皮) (cut), Chen Ju Pi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, 陈橘皮) (soaked in hot water, white pith removed, dried), Mu Xiang (Aucklandiae Radix, 木香), Bing Lang (Arecae Semen, 槟榔) (cut, each 1 liang).
The above eleven herbs are coarsely crushed and sieved. For each dose, take 4 qian bi, add 1 da zhen of water, one piece of ginger (size of a jujube, smashed), and three split jujubes. Decoct until reduced to 7/10 volume, strain, and take warm at any time.
Tingli Wan Formula for treating Lung Qi wheezing and facial edema:
Ting Li Zi (Descurainiae Semen seu Lepidii Semen, 葶苈子) (stir-fried between paper), Chen Ju Pi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, 陈橘皮) (soaked in hot water, white pith removed, dried), Chai Hu (Bupleuri Radix, 柴胡) (radicle removed), Zao Rou (Jujubae Pulpa, 枣肉) (pounded, each 1 liang).
The above four herbs: first crush the first three herbs, sieve finely into powder. Mix with refined honey and Jujubae Pulpa to form pills the size of Sophora seeds. Take 20 pills on an empty stomach, administered with Apricot Kernel Decoction, twice daily.
Tingli Yin Formula for treating Lung Qi cough, facial edema, thick and sticky phlegm/saliva, and inability to breathe:
Ting Li (Descurainiae Semen seu Lepidii Semen, 葶苈) (stir-fried between paper, pounded into paste, 1 liang), Sang Gen Bai Pi (Mori Cortex, 桑根白皮) (cut), Zi Wan (Asteris Radix, 紫菀) (earth removed, each 1.5 liang), Bing Lang (Arecae Semen, 槟榔) (cut, 3 pieces), Mu Tong (Akebiae Caulis, 木通) (cut, 1.5 liang).
The above six herbs: except for those already powdered, coarsely crush and sieve the rest, mix evenly. Take 5 qian bi per dose, with 1.5 zhan of water, decoct to 1 zhan, strain, and take warm after meals, twice daily.
Madouling Tang Formula for treating imbalance of deficiency and excess in the Lung organ, phlegm stagnation with wheezing and cough, facial edema, red cheeks, and empty irritability:
Madou Ling (Aristolochiae Fructus, 马兜铃), Ma Huang (Ephedrae Herba, 麻黄) (nodes removed), Wu Wei Zi (Schisandrae Chinensis Fructus, 五味子) (stir-fried), Gan Cao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, 甘草) (roasted, each 1 liang).
The above four herbs are coarsely crushed and sieved. Take 3 qian bi per dose, with 1 zhan of water, add a small amount of rock sugar, decoct to 6/10 volume, strain, and take warm after meals and before bed.
Dusheng Bingzi for treating Lung Qi cough, facial swelling, and edema of the four limbs:
Ge Jie (Gekko Gecko, 蛤蚧) (one pair, male and female, complete head and tail, cleaned thoroughly, coated with medicinal wine and honey, roasted until cooked), Ren Shen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma, 人参) (Zi Tuan Shen variety, one root shaped like a human body is superior).
The above two herbs are crushed and sieved into powder. Melt 4 liang of beeswax, filter out dregs, mix with the herb powder, and form six cakes. Take one cake on an empty stomach with a thin rice porridge (made from glutinous rice), sip slowly while hot.
Formula for treating Lung Qi distension and fullness of the chest and hypochondrium, and generalized edema:
Ting Li Zi (Descurainiae Semen seu Lepidii Semen, 葶苈子) (stir-fried between paper until purple, 3 liang).
The above single herb is crushed. First, decoct 30 jujubes in 3 sheng of water to obtain 1 sheng of juice. Then add a quantity of the herb powder roughly the size of a jujube pit, decoct together to 7 he, and take in one dose.
Xingren San Formula for treating accumulation and stagnation in the Lung organ, blocked Qi mechanism, facial edema, and sores on both nostrils:
Xing Ren (Armeniacae Semen Amarum, 杏仁), Ting Li (Descurainiae Semen seu Lepidii Semen, 葶苈) (stir-fried between paper), Madou Ling (Aristolochiae Fructus, 马兜铃), Chai Hu (Bupleuri Radix, 柴胡) (radicle removed), Ma Huang (Ephedrae Herba, 麻黄) (roots and nodes removed, decocted to remove foam), She Gan (Belamcandae Rhizoma, 射干), Bei Mu (Fritillariae Cirrhosae Bulbus, 贝母) (heart removed, each 1 fen).
The above nine herbs are crushed and sieved into powder. Take 2 qian bi per dose. After meals, wrap in cotton wool, hold in the mouth to dissolve, and swallow the saliva.
