上四味治，下筛，别研杏仁如脂，纳药末和合，临气上时服一方寸匕。食久气未下，重

上十二味为末，蜜丸如梧子大，暮卧吞二丸。治二十年久嗽，不过二十丸。
治久上气咳嗽，咽中腥臭，虚气搅心痛眼疼，耳中嘈嘈，风邪毒疰时气，食不生肌肉，
胸中膈塞，呕逆多唾，恶心，心下坚满，饮多食少，恶疰淋痛病方。

上十味为末，别治杏仁如脂，稍稍纳药末，捣千杵，烊饴乃纳药末中令调和，含如半枣
一枚，日六七，夜三四服，以胸中温为度。若梦与鬼交通乃饮食者，全用蜈蚣。食不消加杏
仁五合。小腹急腰痛加天门冬、杜仲。有风加乌头三枚，附子一枚，立夏后勿加也。有停饮
加葶苈三两。
治咳逆上气方∶
蜀椒 桂心 海蛤（各四分） 昆布 海藻 干姜 细辛（各六分） 麦冬（十分）
上八味为末，蜜丸如梧子大，饮服十丸，加至二十丸，日三服。有人风虚中冷，胸中满
上气，喉中如吹管声，吸吸气上欲咳，服此方得瘥。
治咳嗽胸胁支满，多唾上气方∶

上十一味为末，蜜丸如梧子大，每服一丸，着牙上咽汁，日五六服。剧者，常含不止。
又方 姜汁（一升半） 砂糖（五合）
上二味煎姜汁减半，纳糖更煎服之。
又方 白糖（五合） 皂荚末（一方寸匕）
上二味先微暖，糖令消，纳皂荚末合和相得，丸如小豆，先食服三丸。
又方 酒一升半，浸肥皂荚两挺，经宿煮取半升，分三服。七日忌如药法。若吐多，
以醋饭三四口止之。
又方 巴豆炮去皮，勿伤破肉白，饮吞下，初日二枚，二日三枚。
又方 服芥子七丸，以油酒下之。
治疗上气咳嗽的方剂。
麻黄（半斤） 杏仁（一百枚） 甘草（三两） 桂心（一两）
以上四味药加工处理，过筛，另外将杏仁研磨成脂状，加入药末混合均匀，在气逆发作时服用一方寸匕的量。如果进食后很久气仍未平降，再次服用。
治疗上气咳嗽，这是太医令王叔和撰写的御用方剂，服用效果很好。

以上十二味药研成粉末，用蜂蜜制成梧桐子大小的丸剂，晚上睡觉时吞服两丸。治疗二十年的久咳，不超过二十丸即可痊愈。
治疗长期的上气咳嗽，咽喉中有腥臭味，虚气扰动导致心痛、眼疼，耳中嘈杂作响，风邪毒疰及时行疫病，饮食不能滋养肌肉，胸中膈部堵塞，呕吐逆气、多唾沫，恶心，胃脘部坚硬胀满，喝水多吃饭少，厌恶疰淋痛病。
蜀椒（二升） 饴糖（三斤） 杏仁（一升） 天门冬（十分） 干姜 人参（各四分）
乌头
（七分） 桂心（六分） 大附子（五枚） 蜈蚣（五节）
以上十味药研成粉末，另外将杏仁研磨成脂状，逐渐加入药末，捣击一千次，将饴糖熔化后加入药末中使其调和，含服如半个枣大小的一枚，白天服用六七次，晚上服用三四次，以胸中感到温暖为标准。如果梦见与鬼魂交合而饮食者，完全使用蜈蚣。食物不消化加杏仁五合。小腹急迫腰痛加天门冬、杜仲。有风邪加乌头三枚，附子一枚，立夏之后不要添加。有停饮加葶苈三两。
治疗咳逆上气的方剂：
蜀椒 桂心 海蛤（各四分） 昆布 海藻 干姜 细辛（各六分） 麦冬（十分）
以上八味药研成粉末，用蜂蜜制成梧桐子大小的丸剂，用温水送服十丸，增加到二十丸，每天服用三次。有人因风虚受冷，胸中胀满上气，喉中发出像吹管一样的声音，吸气时气向上冲想要咳嗽，服用此方可以痊愈。
治疗咳嗽胸胁支撑胀满，多唾沫上气的方剂：
石（一作矾石） 乌头（一方不用此药） 菖蒲（各一分） 细辛 黄环（各二分） 杏
仁 款冬
花
以上十一味药研成粉末，用蜂蜜制成梧桐子大小的丸剂，每次服用一丸，放在牙齿上让汁液咽下，每天服用五六次。病情严重的，经常含着不吐出来。
又一方 姜汁（一升半） 砂糖（五合）
以上两味药煎煮姜汁至减半，加入糖再煎煮服用。
又一方 白糖（五合） 皂荚末（一方寸匕）
以上两味药先将糖微微加热使其融化，加入皂荚末混合均匀，制成小豆大小的丸剂，饭前服用三丸。
又一方 酒一升半，浸泡肥皂荚两根，过夜后煮取半升，分三次服用。七天内的禁忌如同服药方法。如果呕吐严重，吃三四口醋拌饭来止住。
又一方 巴豆炮制去皮，不要损伤白色的肉，用温水吞服，第一天两枚，第二天三枚。
又一方 服用芥子七丸，用油酒送下。
Formulas for treating rebellious Qi and cough.
Ephedrae Herba (Mahuang, 麻黄) (half jin), Armeniacae Semen Amarum (Xingren, 杏仁) (one hundred seeds), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao, 甘草) (three liang), Cinnamomi Ramulus (Guixin, 桂心) (one liang).
Process the above four herbs, sift them, separately grind Armeniacae Semen Amarum into a paste-like consistency, mix with the herbal powder, and take one fangcun bi (a measure of volume) when rebellious Qi attacks. If Qi does not subside long after eating, take another dose.
A formula for treating rebellious Qi and cough, written by Wang Shuhe, the Director of the Imperial Medical Bureau, which is very effective when taken.
Zanthoxyli Fructus (Shujiao, 蜀椒) (five fen), Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata (Wutou, 乌头), Armeniacae Semen Amarum (Xingren, 杏仁), Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma (Shichangpu, 石菖蒲), Alumen (Shi/Fanshi, 石/矾石), Gleditsiae Sinensis Fructus (Zaojiao, 皂荚) (each one fen), Distanthermae Flos (Kuandonghua, 款冬花), Asari Radix et Rhizoma (Xixin, 细辛), Asteris Radix (Ziwan, 紫菀), Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens (Ganjiang, 干姜) (each three fen), Ephedrae Herba (Mahuang, 麻黄), Evodiae Fructus (Wuzhuyu, 吴茱萸) (each four fen).
Grind the above twelve herbs into powder, make pills with honey the size of mulberry seeds, swallow two pills before going to bed at night. Treats chronic cough lasting twenty years; do not exceed twenty pills.
For treating chronic rebellious Qi and cough, foul-smelling breath in the throat, pain in the heart and eyes caused by vacuous Qi stirring, buzzing in the ears, wind-pathogenic toxic Zhuxie (miasma transmission) and seasonal epidemics, inability of food to nourish muscles, obstruction in the chest and diaphragm, vomiting and rebellious Qi, excessive saliva, nausea, hardness and fullness in the epigastrium, drinking much but eating little, aversion to Zhuxie and Lin syndrome painful urination.
Zanthoxyli Fructus (Shujiao, 蜀椒) (two sheng), Malt Sugar (Yitang, 饴糖) (three jin), Armeniacae Semen Amarum (Xingren, 杏仁) (one sheng), Asparagi Radix (Tiandong, 天门冬) (ten fen), Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens (Ganjiang, 干姜), Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma (Renshen, 人参) (each four fen), Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata (Wutou, 乌头) (seven fen), Cinnamomi Ramulus (Guixin, 桂心) (six fen), Aconiti Radix Lateralis Praeparata (Da Fuzi, 大附子) (five pieces), Scolopendra (Wugong, 蜈蚣) (five segments).
Grind the above ten herbs into powder, separately grind Armeniacae Semen Amarum into a paste, gradually add the herbal powder, pound one thousand times, melt the malt sugar and mix with the herbal powder. Hold one pill the size of half a jujube in the mouth, take six or seven times during the day and three or four times at night, stopping when warmth is felt in the chest. If dreaming of intercourse with ghosts affects diet, use Scolopendra fully. For indigestion, add five he of Armeniacae Semen Amarum. For urgency in the lower abdomen and lower back pain, add Asparagi Radix and Eucommiae Cortex (Duzhong, 杜仲). For wind pathogen, add three pieces of Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata and one piece of Aconiti Radix Lateralis Praeparata; do not add these after Start of Summer. For retained fluid, add Descurainiae Semen (Tinglizi, 葶苈) three liang.
Formula for treating cough and rebellious Qi:
Zanthoxyli Fructus (Shujiao, 蜀椒), Cinnamomi Ramulus (Guixin, 桂心), Concha Meretricis (Haige, 海蛤), Sargassum (Kunbu, 昆布), Sargassum (Haizao, 海藻), Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens (Ganjiang, 干姜), Asari Radix et Rhizoma (Xixin, 细辛) (each six fen), Ophiopogonis Radix (Maidong, 麦冬) (ten fen).
Grind the above eight herbs into powder, make pills with honey the size of mulberry seeds, take ten pills with water, increasing to twenty pills, three times a day. For those suffering from cold due to wind deficiency, fullness in the chest and rebellious Qi, whistling sound in the throat like blowing through a tube, air rushing up upon inhalation causing urge to cough, this formula brings recovery.
Formula for treating cough, distension and fullness in the chest and hypochondrium, excessive saliva, and rebellious Qi:
Alumen (Shi/Fanshi, 石/矾石), Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata (Wutou, 乌头) (not used in one version), Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma (Changpu, 菖蒲) (each one fen), Asari Radix et Rhizoma (Xixin, 细辛), Huanghuan (Huanghuan, 黄环), Armeniacae Semen Amarum (Xingren, 杏仁), Distanthermae Flos (Kuandonghua, 款冬花).
Grind the above eleven herbs into powder, make pills with honey the size of mulberry seeds, take one pill each time, place on the teeth to let the juice swallow down, take five or six times a day. For severe cases, keep holding it without swallowing continuously.
Another formula: Ginger Juice (Jiangzhi, 姜汁) (one and a half sheng), White Sugar (Shatang, 砂糖) (five he).
Boil the ginger juice until reduced by half, add sugar, boil again, and take.
Another formula: White Sugar (Baitang, 白糖) (five he), Powdered Gleditsiae Sinensis Fructus (Zaojiao Mo, 皂荚末) (one fangcun bi).
Slightly warm the sugar to melt it, mix with powdered Gleditsiae Sinensis Fructus, form pills the size of small beans, take three pills before meals.
Another formula: Wine (Jiu, 酒) (one and a half sheng), soak two pods of Gleditsiae Sinensis Fructus overnight, boil to obtain half a sheng, divide into three doses. Observe dietary restrictions as per medication rules for seven days. If vomiting is severe, stop it by eating three or four mouthfuls of vinegar-rice.
Another formula: Processed Crotonis Fructus (Badou, 巴豆) peeled, ensuring the white flesh is not damaged, swallow with water. Two seeds on the first day, three seeds on the second day.
Another formula: Take seven pills of Mustard Seed (Jiezi, 芥子), wash down with oil and wine.
