The brilliance of this formula lies in the use of both raw and processed Ziziphus seeds (*Ziziphi Spinosae Semen*). The raw seed prevents sleep during the day, while the processed seed prevents waking at night. Combined with herbs that tonify the Heart, palpitations (Zhen Tong) are thereby stabilized.
This is a Heart disease that is essentially also a Kidney disease. It is appropriate to treat both the Heart and the Kidney simultaneously. The prescription is as follows:

This is a Liver disease. Therefore, treating hypochondriac pain requires soothing the Liver, and soothing the Liver requires nourishing the Kidney. When Kidney Water is sufficient, Liver Qi receives nourishment, and hypochondriac pain heals itself without direct treatment.
