Moyao (Myrrha), Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis, washed with wine and dried), Baishao (Radix Paeoniae Alba), Gusuibu (Rhizoma Drynariae, hair removed), Chuanwutou (Radix Aconiti Kusnezoffii, raw, skin and umbilicus removed), Ziran Tong (Pyritum, calcined over fire and quenched in vinegar twelve times, ground into powder, levigated with water, and dried, each 1 liang), Shengdihuang (Radix Rehmanniae Recens), Chuanxiong (Rhizoma Chuanxiong, each 1.5 liang).
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Mix with fresh ginger juice and refined honey to form pills. Each 1 liang of powder makes four pills. Take one pill per dose: crush the pill, add half a cup of water and half a cup of wine, add a small amount of Suman (Lignum Dalbergiae Odoriferae), decoct until reduced to 80% volume, remove the Suman, and take on an empty stomach.
Treats all types of metal blade wounds and crush injuries where the body bleeds; immediately apply medicine to the wound site. If there is internal injury with blood entering the zang-fu organs, decoct fresh urine from a young boy (tongzi xiaobian), add a little wine, mix and take 2 qian for immediate effect. If cattle goring causes prolapse of intestines that are not damaged, immediately reduce the intestines into the abdominal cavity. Use fine silk threads or threads made from Sangbaipi (Cortex Mori) to suture the abdominal wall. After suturing, apply medicine to the wound; hemostasis will occur and the patient will revive. If Sangbaipi is unavailable, hemp thread may be used. Do not seal or cover the wound tightly, lest pus and blood form. If the wound is dry, moisten it with saliva before applying medicine. For postpartum women with retained lochia, evil blood rushing to the heart, fetal death, or retained placenta, use fresh urine from a young boy to mix and administer the medicine.
Huarui Shi (Huashijie, 1 liang, ground into fine powder), Liuhuang (Sulfur, high-quality bright variety, 4 liang, ground into powder).
Mix these two ingredients evenly. First, reinforce and seal a jar using paper pulp and salt mud. Once dry, place the medicine inside. Seal the mouth of the jar with mud again. Once dry, place the jar on four square bricks. Write Bagua (Eight Trigrams) and Wuxing (Five Elements) characters on top. Surround the jar completely with one cheng (a unit of weight) of charcoal. Ignite the fire from below during Si-Wu hours (9:00 AM - 3:00 PM), allowing the heat to gradually penetrate upwards. Continue this process overnight until the fire cools and charcoal is consumed. Let it rest for another night until the jar is cool. Remove the contents, grind finely, store in a porcelain bottle, and administer according to the previous method.
