二时辰。一方熔蜡入油二十点，和剂令软，用油纸裹旋丸。

以上药材研成细末，熔化一两黄蜡混合搅拌制成芝麻大小的丸药，每次服用一丸，小儿服用半丸。水泻用新汲冷水送服，赤痢用甘草汤送服，白痢用干姜汤送服，赤白痢用甘草干姜汤送服，均放凉后临睡前服用，孕妇禁用，忌食热物一至两个时辰。另一方是将蜡熔化加入二十滴油，调和使药变软，用油纸包裹随时制作丸药。

Baizhu (Atractylodis Rhizoma), Fuling (Poria), Cheqianzi (Plantaginis Semen) (each 2 qian), Wuweizi (Schisandrae Fructus), Wumei (Mume Fructus) (each 0.5 qian), Hei Susu Qiao (Pericarpium Setariae Indicae Nigrum) (1.5 qian).
Take the above as one dose, add two zhong of water, decoct until one zhong remains, and take before meals.
Treats all types of dysentery.
Suan Shiliu Pi (Punica Granati Pericarpium), Caoguo (Tsaoko Fructus) (each 1.5 qian), Qingpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Viride) (2 qian), Chun Gen Pi (Toosendanii Cortex) (2.5 qian), Xingren (Armeniacae Semen Amarum) (14 pieces), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) [dosage missing in source].
Take the above as one dose, add two zhong of water, three slices of Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens), and two Wumei (Mume Fructus), decoct until one zhong remains, leave exposed overnight, and take in the morning.
Treats extreme coldness of the Zang-Fu organs, chronic cold injury leading to exhaustion, mouth ulcers with diarrhea, undigested food in stool, loss of taste for food and drink, emaciation, irritability, postpartum deficiency-cold diarrhea in women, as well as all types of watery diarrhea, cold dysentery, and Spleen diarrhea (Pi Xie). This formula comes from Su Dongpo's family collection; it is said that those who use this medicine achieve miraculous results. The names of cured patients were recorded in detail, which are not repeated here. I have used this formula for over ten years with consistent efficacy: Spleen diarrhea resolves immediately, and general diarrhea/dysentery shows improvement after just one dose. However, it is not suitable for Heat Dysentery or Heat Diarrhea because the medicinal properties are hot; it should be used according to the syndrome.
Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix), Pogu Zhi (Psoraleae Fructus) (each 1 liang), Liangjiang (Alpiniae Officinarum Rhizoma), Sharen (Amomi Fructus), Nongpu (Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex), Chishao Yao (Paeoniae Radix Rubra), Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium), Guanzi Gui (Cinnamomi Ramulus), Baizhu (Atractylodis Rhizoma) [dosage missing in source].
Grind the above into a fine powder. Boil pork liver in rice vinegar/water, mix evenly with the medicine, then use some wheat paste to form pills the size of Sophora seeds. Take 50-70 pills each time, on an empty stomach, washed down with thin rice porridge.
Treats all types of diarrhea and dysentery in adults and children, regardless of Cold/Heat or Red/White dysentery, which persists without healing, recurs after remission, and is accompanied by abdominal pain. The following is suitable:
Sha [one version excludes this], Rushan (Boswelliae Resina) (each 2.5 qian), Badou (Crotonis Fructus) [skin, heart, membrane removed, oil expressed out], Xingren (Armeniacae Semen Amarum) [skin and tip removed, each 8.5 qian], Zhusha (Cinnabaris) (1 liang), Mubie (Euphorbiae Lathyridis Semen) (0.5 liang), Bai Jiaoxiang (Elemi Resina) (1 qian), Pishuang (Arsenicum) [boiled in vinegar, 3.5 qian, or ground and placed in a porcelain jar, sealed with Chishizhi (Halloysitum Rubrum)... text cuts off].
Grind the above into a fine powder, melt 1 liang of Huangla (Beeswax), knead together to form pills the size of Sesame seeds. Take one pill per dose, half a pill for children. For watery diarrhea, take with fresh cold water; for red dysentery, take with Gancao Tang (Licorice Decoction); for white dysentery, take with Ganjiang Tang (Dried Ginger Decoction); for red-and-white dysentery, take with Gancao Ganjiang Tang (Licorice and Dried Ginger Decoction). All should be cooled and taken before sleep. Pregnant women should not take this. Avoid hot foods for 1-2 shichen (2-4 hours). Another method involves melting wax, adding twenty drops of oil, mixing to soften, and wrapping in oiled paper to form pills as needed.
