孕,孕而不育,育而不寿者多矣。以此观之,男女贵乎溢壮,则易于受形也。且父少母老,生女必羸;

Commentary states: Heaven and Earth are the parents of all things; Yin and Yang are the male and female aspects of Blood and Qi. With husband and wife, there is father and son; after marriage, there is reproduction. Reproduction is the foundation of human ethics. Moreover, when male and female unite, if their emotions flow smoothly, and if Yin Blood arrives first followed by the impact of Yang Essence, the blood opens to wrap the essence, forming a pattern where Yin is outside and Yang is inside. The Yin wraps the Yang Essence, and the male fetus is formed; if Yang Essence arrives first followed by the participation of Yin Blood, the essence opens to wrap the blood, forming a pattern where Yang is outside and Yin is inside. The Yang Essence wraps the blood, and the female fetus is formed. Regarding easy conception, the man and woman must be of appropriate age. At eight years old, boys change teeth and hair grows; at sixteen (two eights), their essence and blood overflow. At seven years old, girls change teeth and hair grows; at fourteen (two sevens), Tian Gui (menstrual/reproductive substances) arrives. This reflects Yin within Yang and Yang within Yin. Men marry at thirty, women marry at twenty, so that their Qi and Blood are full before intercourse, thus ensuring pregnancy and longevity of offspring. If marriage is untimely, Qi leaks early, and the body is damaged before fully developed, leading to many cases of infertility, failure to nurture offspring, or short lifespan. Thus, it is seen that men and women need abundant and robust Qi and Blood for easy conception. Furthermore, if the father is young and the mother old, the daughter will surely be frail; if the mother is young and the father weak, the son will surely be frail. This is indeed true. Or if the man's essence is thin, and the woman's blood is deficient while Qi is hyperactive, this imbalance of Qi and Blood in both sexes leads to infertility. Considering treatment methods, women should nourish Blood and suppress Qi to reduce anger and joy; men should benefit Kidney and generate Essence to reduce desires. Following the formulas to regulate, if Yin and Yang are harmonious, the woman will happily have children.
I have tested and verified that treating women focuses on the menstrual period. Irregular menstruation indicates deficiency of Ying (Nutritive) and Wei (Defensive). Blood belongs to Ying, Qi belongs to Wei. When Qi is strong, Blood flows; when Qi is weak, Blood stagnates. When Ying and Wei are harmonious and connected, Qi and Blood circulate throughout the body, and hundred diseases do not arise. Cold in Zang-Fu organs causes Blood coagulation; Heat causes Blood binding. Only then does menstruation flow smoothly. Therefore, one must first observe the woman's temperament. A peaceful temperament makes treatment easy; an obstinate temperament makes it difficult. One must regulate Heart Qi. If Heart Qi is disordered, menstruation gradually stagnates, with varying amounts or timing, making conception difficult and giving rise to various diseases. According to Materia Medica, carefully analyzing drug properties and establishing Sovereign, Minister, Assistant, and Courier roles, we name them Baibing Jiyin Dan, Jiyin Bugong Dan, and Yiyin Dabu Dan. These formulas nourish Qi and Blood, harmonize Yin and Yang, tighten Cou Li (pores/skin texture), and solidify Zang-Fu organs, treating stubborn coldness in the Yin region caused by Wind pathogens. Dosage should not vary based on price; strictly follow the pill-making method. First, take four doses of rice decoction, regardless of excess or deficiency; then take pills according to excess or deficiency.
Yiqi San (Qi-Suppressing Powder) treats infertility due to Qi exceeding Blood in women. It can also treat dizziness, chest fullness, body pain, and palpitations. Xiangfu (Cyperus Rhizome) is the fairy medicine for women; do not avoid it due to fears of depleting Qi.

After decoction is ready, add three fen of Calcitrum Powder and two qian of the aforementioned Yiqi San to the decoction and take together, then take the pills.
