治喉痹，卒不得语方。
浓煮桂汁服一升，覆取汗。亦可末桂着舌下，大良。
又方
取炊甑荜烧作屑，三指撮，少水服之，即效。
又方
浓煮大豆汁含之，无豆煮豉亦良。
治喉痹者，喉里肿塞痹痛，水浆不下入，七八日即杀人，治之方。
熬杏仁熟捣，蜜丸如弹子，含咽其汁，亦可捣杏仁末，帛裹含之。
治喉中卒毒攻痛方。
章陆根，切，炙令热，隔布熨之，冷转易，立愈。苦酒热熬敷喉，亦疗喉痹。
治喉诸病方。
鸡子一枚，破，以黄白搅，吞之瘥。
小续命汤，治卒中风欲死，身体缓急，口目不正，舌强不能语，奄奄惚惚，精神闷乱，
诸风服之皆验，不令人虚方。
甘草（一两） 麻黄（一两） 防风（一两半） 防己（一两） 人参（一两） 黄芩

桂心（一两） 附子（一枚，大者，炮） 芎 （一两） 芍药（一两） 生姜（五两）
上十一物，以水九升，煮取三升，分三服，甚良。不瘥更服三四剂必佳。取汗随人风轻
重虚实也。有人脚弱服此方，至六七剂得瘥。有风疹家，天阴节变辄合之，可以防喑 也。
羌活汤，治中柔风，身体疼痛，四肢缓弱，欲作不随方。
羌活（三两） 桂肉（三两） 生姜（六两） 干地黄（三两） 葛根（三两） 芍药
（三两） 麻
黄（二两，去节） 甘草（二两。）
凡八物，以清酒三升，水五升，煮取三升，酒服五合，日三。
治中风不语方。
独活一两，酒二升，煎一升，大豆五合，炒有声，以药酒热投，盖之良久，酒服三合，
未瘥再服。
治疗喉痹，突然不能说话的方剂。
将桂汁浓煮后服用一升，服药后覆盖身体以取汗。也可以将桂枝研成末放在舌下，效果很好。
另一个方子。
取蒸饭用的甑底烧成的灰屑，用三指撮的量，加少量水送服，立即见效。
又一个方子。
将大豆汁浓煮后含在口中，如果没有豆子，煮豆豉也有效。
治疗喉痹的方法：喉部肿胀堵塞、痹痛，连水和米汤都无法咽下，若持续七八天就会致死，以下是治疗方法。
将杏仁炒熟后捣碎，用蜂蜜制成如弹丸大小的药丸，含在口中让汁液慢慢咽下；也可以将杏仁研成末，用丝绸包裹后含在口中。
治疗喉中突发毒邪攻冲疼痛的方剂。
取章陆根，切片，加热后用布隔开熨烫患处，变冷后更换，立刻痊愈。用醋热熬后敷在喉部，也能治疗喉痹。
治疗喉部各种疾病的方剂。
取鸡蛋一枚，打破，将蛋黄和蛋白搅匀，吞服即可痊愈。
小续命汤，治疗突然中风濒临死亡，身体或松弛或拘急，口眼歪斜，舌强不能说话，神志恍惚，精神烦闷混乱，
治疗各种风证服用此方都有效，且不会使人虚弱。
甘草（一两） 麻黄（一两） 防风（一两半） 防己（一两） 人参（一两） 黄芩（一两）
桂心（一两） 附子（一枚，大的，炮制） 川芎（一两） 芍药（一两） 生姜（五两）
以上十一味药，用水九升，煎煮至三升，分三次服用，效果很好。如果未痊愈，再服用三四剂会更好。发汗的程度应根据患者体质的轻重虚实而定。有人因脚弱服用此方，服用到六七剂后痊愈。有风疹的人，在天气阴冷节气变化时合用此方，可以预防失音。
羌活汤，治疗中柔风，身体疼痛，四肢松弛无力，即将出现肢体不遂的方剂。
羌活（三两） 桂肉（三两） 生姜（六两） 干地黄（三两） 葛根（三两） 芍药（三两） 麻黄（二两，去节） 甘草（二两）。
共八味药，用清酒三升，水五升，煎煮至三升，每次温服五合，每日三次。
治疗中风不语的方剂。
独活一两，酒二升，煎煮至一升，加入五合大豆，炒至发出声响，趁热用药酒送服，覆盖身体保暖良久，服用三合酒，如果未痊愈再服用。
Formula for treating throat obstruction (Hou Bi) with sudden inability to speak.
Concentrated decoction of Cinnamon Twig Juice (Guizhi Zhi), one sheng, taken orally; cover the patient to induce sweating. Alternatively, powder the Cinnamon Twig (Guizhi) and place it under the tongue; this is highly effective.
Another formula.
Take the ash from the bottom of a steamer basket (Zengbi), measure three fingers' pinch, mix with a small amount of water, and swallow; immediate effect is expected.
Yet another formula.
Concentrated decoction of Soybean (Dadou) juice, hold in the mouth. If soybeans are unavailable, decoction of Fermented Soybean (Chidou) is also good.
Treatment for throat obstruction: swelling and blockage in the throat causing bi-pain, inability to swallow fluids or food; if untreated for seven to eight days, it can be fatal. The following is the treatment method.
Roast Almond (Xingren) until cooked, crush thoroughly, form pills like bullet seeds using honey, hold in the mouth and swallow the juice. Alternatively, crush Almond (Xingren) into powder, wrap in silk, and hold in the mouth.
Formula for treating sudden toxic attack and pain in the throat.
Cut the root of Arisaema Cum Bile (Zhanglu Gen), heat by roasting, apply via hot compress through a cloth layer; replace when cool, leading to immediate recovery. Applying hot vinegar paste to the throat also treats throat obstruction.
Formulas for various throat diseases.
One chicken egg, break open, stir yolk and white together, swallow; this cures the condition.
Xiao Xuming Tang (Minor Continuation Life Decoction), treats sudden severe stroke approaching death, body flaccidity or spasticity, deviation of mouth and eyes, stiff tongue unable to speak, faint consciousness, mental confusion and restlessness.
It is verified effective for various wind disorders without causing deficiency.
Gancao (Licorice Root, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) (1 liang), Mahuang (Ephedra Herb, Ephedrae Herba) (1 liang), Fangfeng (Saposhnikovia Root, Saposhnikoviae Radix) (1.5 liang), Fangji (Stephania Root, Stephaniae Tetrandrae Radix) (1 liang), Renshen (Ginseng Root, Ginseng Radix) (1 liang), Huangqin (Scutellaria Root, Scutellariae Radix) (1 liang), Guixin (Cinnamon Bark, Cinnamomi Cortex) (1 liang), Fuzi (Prepared Aconite Lateralis Radix, Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata) (1 large piece, prepared), Xiongqiong (Ligusticum Rhizome, Chuanxiong Rhizoma) (1 liang), Shaoyao (Peony Root, Paeoniae Radix Alba) (1 liang), Shengjiang (Fresh Ginger, Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens) (5 liang).
The above eleven substances are boiled in nine sheng of water to obtain three sheng; divide into three doses. This is very effective. If not cured, take three to four more courses. Induce sweating according to the severity and constitution (deficiency/excess) of the patient. Some patients with weak legs took this formula and recovered after six to seven doses. Patients with wind-rash may take this during cold weather or solar term changes to prevent aphonia.
Qianghuo Tang (Notopterygium Decoction), treats soft wind strike, body pain, flaccidity and weakness of limbs, impending paralysis.
Qianghuo (Notopterygium Rhizome et Radix, Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix) (3 liang), Rougui (Cinnamon Bark, Cinnamomi Cortex) (3 liang), Shengjiang (Fresh Ginger, Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens) (6 liang), Dihuang (Rehmannia Root, Rehmanniae Radix Preparata) (3 liang), Gegen (Pueraria Root, Puerariae Lobatae Radix) (3 liang), Shaoyao (Peony Root, Paeoniae Radix Alba) (3 liang), Mahuang (Ephedra Herb, Ephedrae Herba) (2 liang, nodes removed), Gancao (Licorice Root, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) (2 liang).
These eight substances are boiled in three sheng of clear wine and five sheng of water to obtain three sheng; take five he of warm mixture with wine, three times daily.
Formula for treating stroke-induced aphonia.
Duohuo (Angelica Pubescens Root, Angelicae Pubescentis Radix) 1 liang, wine 2 sheng, decoct to 1 sheng. Add 0.5 sheng of soybeans, stir-fry until audible sound is produced. Pour hot medicinal wine over the fried soybeans, cover the patient to keep warm for a long time, then drink 3 he of the wine. If not cured, take again.
