圣惠方曰。夫小儿五色丹者。由丹发而改变无常。或青黄赤黑白。皆风毒之热。有盛有衰。或
冷或热。故发为五色丹也。宜用小柴胡汤。如法煎服。以渣敷丹上良。
王肯堂曰。初生儿蓄伏胎热。欲发丹者。必先见于外。如在襁褓中。无故眼生浓眵。此丹毒欲
发也。更微喘急。毒瓦斯已甚。上乘于肺也。才觉有此。急以水调龙脑饮子。或蓝根、犀角等。潜消其
毒。如浑身已有赤处。即更以芸苔等外挫其锋。消息而次第治之。
凡儿病诸丹肿。其势虽盛。切不可遽用大黄、芒硝辈大下之。恐毒乘虚入里也。但用性平解
毒托里药。小儿丹发。若预度其势。必展引至咽颈腹心阴尻诸虚处。可先涂药以护之。仍砭其
引头所向。微出恶血以泄其毒。丹毒。宜食海蜇鲫鱼。然不可过。
导赤散
生地 木通 甘草 等分。加竹叶。一方不用甘草。用黄芩。
此方泻内小肠火。
钱氏生犀散
犀角（二钱） 地骨皮 赤芍 柴胡根 葛根（各一两） 炙草（五钱） 每末一钱。煎服。
此方治心经虚热。
四圣散
灯心 黄连 秦皮 木贼 枣子（各半两） 每 咀二钱。煎服。
治婴孩胎受热毒。或生下两目不开。
地黄膏
郁金 皂荚（水煮干切焙） 豆粉（各五钱） 炙草（一分） 马牙硝（一钱） 生地汁、蜜对煎成膏。和
丸。水含化。婴儿磨浓汁。以鹅翎扫入口内。
张涣保命散
白矾 朱砂（各二钱半） 马牙硝（五钱） 研极细。每服一字。水调涂舌上。先拭净儿舌。
治婴儿胎毒。致生鹅口。
龙胆汤
龙胆草 钩藤 柴胡 黄芩 桔梗 赤芍 茯苓 炙草（各五钱） 蜣螂（二个去翅足炙） 大黄（一分纸裹煨）
为细末。食前调服。或加防风、麦冬。以去心热亦可。
治胎惊月内气盛发热。脐风撮口壮热。
辰砂膏
辰砂（三钱） 硼砂 牙硝（各钱半） 元明粉（二钱）全蝎 真珠末（各一钱） 麝（一字） 为末。和
枣肉。好绢包起。自然成膏。每一豆许。治诸惊。金银薄荷汤下。潮热。甘草汤下。月内婴儿乳
汁调涂奶上。令吮下。
宣风散
全蝎（二十一个。去头尾酒涂炙） 麝香（少许。另研）每细末半字。金银或麦冬汤调服。
治断脐后外伤风湿。唇青口撮。多啼不乳。口出白沫。
黑白饮
黑牵牛 白牵牛（俱半生半炒） 生大黄 陈皮（去白） 槟榔（各五钱） 炙草（三钱） 元明粉（二钱） 每
末五分至一钱。空心温蜜汤调服。此药新合最妙。久则效迟。
治脐风气实者。及急惊壮热发搐。
钱氏柏墨散
黄柏 釜下墨 乱发灰 等分。每末少许敷之。
钱氏泻心汤
黄连（一两） 每末二分五分至一钱。临卧温水调服。
此方泻丁心实邪。实则泻其子。
张涣金黄散
黄连（二钱半） 胡粉 龙骨（各一钱） 各另研。再合研。每少许。敷脐中。时时用。
治脐疮不瘥。风气传于经络。变为痫疾。
朴消散
大黄 牡蛎（各五钱） 朴硝（二钱） 每末（一钱或二钱）。用田螺一枚。洗净浸一宿。水调涂。
治脐突。或痛或不痛。及感湿热。阴及囊肿。
木通散
木通 蓄（各五钱） 大黄 甘草梢 赤苓（各三钱） 瞿麦 滑石 山栀 黄芩 车前子（各
二钱半） 加灯心（三茎。）或薄荷少许。
钱氏泻青丸
当归（焙） 龙胆（焙） 川芎 山栀 羌活 煨大黄 防风 等分。蜜丸。竹叶汤下。
丹溪金乌散
蜈蚣（半条酒浸炙） 川乌尖（三个） 麝（少许） 每末半字。金银汤下。
治脐风。一名定命散。一名麝香散。
五通膏
生地 生姜 葱白 莱菔子 田螺肉 捣烂涂脐四围。一指浓。抱住泄屁而愈。
治脐风撮口。
六神散
茯苓 扁豆（各二两） 人参 白术 山药（各一两） 炙草（七钱） 每末一钱。姜枣煎。
治腹冷痛夜啼。
汤氏钩藤散
人参 犀角（各五分） 全蝎 天麻（各二分） 甘草（一分） 钩藤（一钱） 一名钩藤饮。
千金龙胆汤
煨大黄（二钱） 龙胆草 赤苓 甘草 黄芩（各钱半。）
调气益黄散
蜈蚣（一条酒炙） 蝎梢（四个） 僵蚕（七个） 瞿麦（五分） 每末一字。吹鼻中取嚏。啼哭可治。仍用薄荷
汤调一字服之。
治噤口撮口脐风。
大青膏
天麻末（一分） 生白附子（钱半） 蝎尾（去毒生末） 乌梢蛇肉（酒浸焙研各五分） 青黛（一钱） 朱砂末
天竺黄末（各三分） 蜜和成膏。每半皂子许至一皂子许。月中儿粳米大。同牛黄膏用薄荷汤化
一处服之。五岁上同甘露散服之。
惺惺散
茯苓 细辛 桔梗 花粉 人参 炙甘草 白术 川芎 等分。每末一钱。加姜一片、薄
荷三叶。同煎。汤氏方。细辛减半。余俱等分。
此方除风热。及伤寒时气疮疹发热。
独活汤
独活 羌活（各二钱） 槟榔 天麻 麻黄（去节） 炙甘草（各一钱） 共为细末。每半钱。水煎。
于内加南星末。蜜调可贴囟门。
治胎惊。发散风邪。
夺命散
铜青 朱砂（各二钱） 腻粉（半钱） 麝香（少许） 蝎尾（十四个去针） 每末五分。薄荷汤调下。
此方治天吊。脐风。客忤卒死。撮口鹅口。木舌喉痹。胙腮风壅吐涎。后根据症调理。
钱氏凉惊丸
龙胆草 防风 青黛（各三钱） 钩藤钩（二钱） 黄连（五钱） 牛黄 麝香 龙脑（各一字） 面糊丸
粟米大。每三五丸。金银汤下。
演山截风丹
全蝎（去毒炒） 僵蚕（炒） 白附子（炮）南星（炮） 天麻（各二钱半） 朱砂（一钱） 蜈蚣（一条酒炙） 麝
香（一字） 蜜丸。每三丸。金银薄荷汤化下。
利惊丸
轻粉 青黛（各一钱） 牵牛末（五钱） 天竺黄（二钱） 蜜丸小豆大。薄荷汤化下。
此方治急惊。痰热潮搐。
全蝎散
全蝎（二十四个，薄荷叶包炙） 僵蚕（五钱，炒去丝嘴薄荷叶包炙） 南星（一两） 用姜一两。鲜薄荷二两。
同捣作饼。晒干。如急惊不用南星。加煨大黄一两。若慢惊不用大黄。加制南星、炮白附子各
三钱。防风、天麻、炙甘草、水飞朱砂、川芎各五钱。共为末。一岁儿服一字。二岁儿服半
钱。薄荷汤下。量大小岁数加减。身热发搐。煎火府散调。慢惊吐泻发搐。生姜汤。急惊搐。
煎火府散加大黄汤。
火府散
生地 木通（各一两） 黄芩 炙甘草（各半两） 每 咀二钱。不拘时。水煎温服。
治面赤切牙。唇口干燥。小便赤涩。一切虚实邪热。
直指银白散
莲肉 扁豆 茯苓（各一分） 人参 白附子 天麻 全蝎 木香 藿香 炙草（各半分） 炒陈
米（三钱） 每末一钱。加姜一薄片。冬瓜子七粒同煎。一方加白术一分。
助胃驱风。呕吐作慢惊候者通用。
地黄丸
生地（八两） 山萸 山药（四两） 丹皮 泽泻 茯苓（各三两） 蜜丸。本方加防风、羌活各二两。名
加味地黄丸。
安神丸
麦冬 牙硝 茯苓 山药 寒水石（各五钱） 朱砂（一两） 甘草（六钱） 冰片（一字） 炼蜜丸如鸡头
大。每半丸砂糖调。以上二方。甘寒泻火之剂。血气虚而急惊者宜之。
治小儿惊悸。热渴心闷。脉实。面红颊赤口燥。
曾氏百解散
葛根（二两半） 升麻 赤芍（各二两） 黄芩（一两） 麻黄（七钱半） 薄桂（二钱半） 甘草（一两半） 每
粗末二钱。加姜葱煎。不拘时温服。风热盛加薄荷。
此方主和解百病。虚慢阴症不宜。
牛蒡汤
炒牛蒡子（三两） 大黄（两半） 防风 薄荷（各一两） 荆芥（四两） 甘草（一两一钱半） 每 咀二钱。
不拘时煎服。
主伤风。发热烦躁。鼻塞气喘。痰嗽惊啼。及诸疮。赤紫丹毒。咽喉肿痛。
半夏丸
生半夏（二两） 赤苓 枳壳（各一两） 风化朴硝（二钱半） 姜汁糊丸。每三十丸。食后姜汤下。量儿
大小加至五十丸。
治痰症神效。若惊搦后风涎潮作。服之神效。
宽气饮
枳壳 枳实（各一两） 人参 炙甘草（各五钱） 每末五分至一钱。汤调下。惊风作搐。姜汁调。热
甚者。入宽热饮。薄荷蜜汤调下。或麦冬汤。
主通利关节。胸膈痞结。消痰逐水。进食。及治蓄气而成搐。传变急慢惊风。气逆。精神昏倦。
五和汤
当归 赤苓（各半两） 炙甘草 大黄 枳壳（各七钱半） 每粗末二钱煎。不拘时服。
此方主宣利脏腑积滞。调利荣卫。
茯神汤
茯神（一两） 人参 当归（各半两） 炙草（二钱） 每 咀二钱煎。有热微烦躁加麦冬。
此方治心气不足。虚而惊悸。日常频哭。及生下羸瘦多惊。宜子母同服。
郑氏比金丸
轻粉 滑石（各钱半） 南星（一钱二分） 青黛（五分） 糊丸小豆大。一岁二丸。薄荷汤下。急惊头
热。足冷面青。口噤痰 加一丸。桃皮汤下。名桃符丸。去青黛。加蝎梢五分。名小青丸。
治急惊。壮热喘粗痰嗽。二便不利。
曾氏五苓散
泽泻（二两半） 茯苓 猪苓 白术（各一两半） 肉桂（七钱半） 每一钱汤下。
解伤寒温湿暑毒霍乱。分阴阳。理烦渴。
镇心丸
甜硝 人参（各一两） 炙草 寒水石（各一两半） 山药 茯苓（各二两） 朱砂（一两） 冰片 麝香（各
一钱） 蜜丸。鸡头大。每半丸。温水下。至一二丸。
此方凉心经。治惊热痰盛。及痫病。
安神镇惊丸
天竺黄 人参 茯神 南星（各五钱） 枣仁 麦冬 当归 生地 赤芍（各三钱） 黄连 薄荷
木通 山栀 朱砂 西牛黄 龙骨（各二钱） 青黛（一钱） 蜜丸绿豆大。每三五丸。量儿大小
加减。姜汤下。
惊退后。安心神。养气血。和平预防之剂也。
栝蒌汤
栝蒌（二钱） 白甘遂末（一钱）
慢惊。脉有力。湿痰聚于胸中。风火蕴结者服。
青州白丸子
半夏（七两） 南星（三两） 白附子（二两） 川乌（五钱去皮脐） 四味皆用生者研细。以生绢袋盛。井水
摆出。未出者。更以手揉。有渣再研。再摆令尽。瓷盆内连水日晒夜露。晓去旧水。另用井水
搅。又晒露。如此法。春五日。夏三日。秋七日。冬十日。去水晒干如玉片。研细。糯米粥丸。绿
豆大每三五丸。薄荷汤下。瘫风酒下。皆不拘时。
此方治小儿惊风。大人诸风。
醒脾散
白术 人参 甘草 全蝎 橘红 茯苓（各五钱） 半夏 木香（各一分） 白附子（四个炮） 炮
南星（二枚） 莲肉（一钱） 每末一钱。加姜枣煎。渐服。若顿服。必吐。
此方昏困者宜之。
人参羌活散
人参 羌活 独活 柴胡 川芎 白茯苓 甘草（各一两） 前胡 桔梗 天麻 地骨皮（各
五钱） 枳壳（一两二钱） 每 咀一钱。加姜一片。薄荷三叶。枣半个煎。
治初作急惊。散风邪。除风热。疹痘未发亦可。
郑氏驱风膏
辰砂 蝎尾 当归 山栀 川芎 龙胆草 羌活 防风 大黄 甘草（各一钱） 麝香（一字）
炼砂糖丸芡子大。三岁三丸。薄荷竹叶蜜汤化下。
治肝风筋脉拘急。面红目青眼上。惊搐胎风。
冲和饮
苍术（一两） 人参 前胡 桔梗（五钱） 枳壳 麻黄 陈皮（各三钱） 川芎 白芷 半夏 当归
薄桂 白芍药 赤苓（各钱半） 干姜 浓朴（各二钱） 炙草（七钱半） 每粗末二钱。加姜二葱一
煎服。伤冷恶心呕吐。加炮姜。寒疝加小茴、吴萸。
此方治感冒风寒。头痛发热。肩背拘急。恶心呕吐。腹痛膨胀。兼寒湿相搏。四肢拘急。冷气
侵袭。腰足疼痛。
七宝散
紫苏 香附（各三两） 甘草 陈皮 桔梗（各二钱半） 川芎 白芷（各一两） 每粗末二钱。加姜二
片煎。痰嗽加半夏。口腥气。少加盐。此方品味。不 不燥。甚佳。
治风寒时气。头昏体热。咳嗽及脾胃肺不和。口腥。牙缝鲜血。兼调理诸病。
固真汤
人参 附子 茯苓 白术（各二钱半） 山药 黄 肉桂 甘草（各二钱） 每粗末三钱。加姜
三枣一煎。
主吐泻痢后。胃虚脾慢。四肢口鼻气冷。沉困不省人事。
聚宝丹
人参 茯苓 琥珀 天麻 全蝎 白附子 僵蚕 防风 胆星 乌蛇肉（酒炙各一钱） 朱
砂（五分） 麝香（少许） 蜜丸桐子大。每二丸菖蒲汤下。专治慢惊。
南星散
南星（八九钱） 重者一个。掘地坑深尺许。用炭五斤。烧通红。醋一碗。洒坑中。即投南星。以火
炭密盖。又用盆复时许取出。研为末。入琥珀 全蝎（各一钱） 每二字。生姜防风汤下。
治慢惊。驱风豁痰。
参苏饮
人参 紫苏 前胡 葛根 半夏 赤苓（各七钱半） 枳壳 陈皮 桔梗 甘草（各五钱） 每粗
末二钱。加姜一片煎。一方去人参。加川芎。
解惊风烦闷。痰热作搐。咳嗽气逆。脾胃不和。
金液丹
《圣惠方》说：所谓小儿五色丹，是因为丹毒发作后颜色变化无常，有的呈青色、黄色、红色、白色或黑色，这都是风毒之热邪所致，有盛有衰，有时偏冷有时偏热，因此发为五色丹。适宜使用小柴胡汤（Xiao Chai Hu Tang, Minor Bupleurum Decoction），按照常规方法煎煮服用，并将药渣敷在丹毒患处，效果很好。
王肯堂说：初生婴儿体内蓄积伏藏的胎热，若要发丹毒，必然先在外部显现征兆。比如在襁褓中的婴儿，无故眼睛生出浓稠的眼屎，这是丹毒将要发作的迹象。如果伴有轻微的喘息急促，说明毒气已经非常严重，上乘于肺脏。刚察觉有此症状，应立即用水调服龙脑饮子（Long Nao Yin Zi, Camphor Drink）或者用板蓝根（Isatidis Radix, Banlangen）、犀角（Rhinocerotis Cornu, Xijiao）等药物，暗中消除其毒性。如果全身已经出现红色斑块，则再用芸苔（Brassicae Chinensis Herba, Yuntaie）等外敷以挫败其锋芒，根据病情轻重次第治疗。
凡是婴儿患各种丹肿，虽然病势猛烈，但切不可立即使用大黄（Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, Dahuang）、芒硝（Natrii Sulfas, Mangxiao）等大泻下的药物，恐怕毒邪乘虚进入体内。只需用性质平和的解毒托里药物。小儿丹毒发作，如果预先推测其病势蔓延，必定会延伸到咽喉、颈部、腹部、心区、阴部、尻部等虚弱部位，可以先涂抹药物加以保护。仍然可以用砭石刺破丹毒蔓延的前端，放出少量恶血以泄出毒气。对于丹毒，适宜食用海蜇和鲫鱼，但不可过量。
导赤散（Dao Chi San, Guide the Water Powder）
生地（Sheng Di Huang, Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata）、木通（Mu Tong, Akebiae Caulis）、甘草（Gan Cao, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma）等分。加竹叶（Zhu Ye, Bambusae Folium）。另一版本不用甘草，改用黄芩（Huang Qin, Scutellariae Radix）。
此方用于清泻小肠之火。
钱氏生犀散（Qian Shi Sheng Xi San, Qian's Raw Rhinoceros Horn Powder）
犀角（二钱）、地骨皮（Diguopi, Lycii Cortex）、赤芍（Chishao, Paeoniae Radix Rubra）、柴胡根（Chaihu Gen, Bupleuri Radix）、葛根（Gegen, Puerariae Lobatae Radix，各一两）、炙甘草（五钱）。每次取一钱末，煎服。
此方治疗心经虚热。
四圣散（Si Sheng San, Four Sages Powder）
灯心（Dengxin, Junci Medulla）、黄连（Huanglian, Coptidis Rhizoma）、秦皮（Qinpi, Fraxini Cortex）、木贼（Muzei, Equiseti Herba）、枣子（Zaozi, Ziziphi Fructus，各半两）。每次咀嚼至二钱量，煎服。
治疗婴孩胎受热毒，或者出生后两眼无法睁开。
地黄膏（Dihuang Gao, Rehmannia Ointment）
郁金（Yujin, Curcumae Radix）、皂荚（Saojia, Gleditsiae Fructus，水煮干切焙）、豆粉（Doufen, Bean Flour，各五钱）、炙甘草（一分）、马牙硝（Mayaxiao, Natrii Sulfas Crystallizatus，一钱）。用地黄汁和蜂蜜对煎成膏，制成丸剂。含化服用。婴儿需磨浓汁，用鹅毛蘸取扫入口内。
张涣保命散（Zhang Huan Baoming San, Zhang Huan's Life-Preserving Powder）
白矾（Baifan, Alum）、朱砂（Zhusha, Cinnabaris，各二钱半）、马牙硝（五钱）。研至极细。每次服用“一字”的量，用水调匀涂在舌上。先擦拭干净婴儿的舌头。
治疗婴儿胎毒，导致鹅口疮（E Kou Chuang, Thrush）。
龙胆汤（Long Dan Tang, Gentian Decoction）
龙胆草（Longdancao, Gentianae Radix）、钩藤（Gouteng, Uncariae Ramulus cum Uncis）、柴胡（Chaihu, Bupleuri Radix）、黄芩（Huangqin, Scutellariae Radix）、桔梗（Jiegeng, Platycodonis Radix）、赤芍（Chishao, Paeoniae Radix Rubra）、茯苓（Fuling, Poria）、炙甘草（各五钱）、蜣螂（Chianglang, Scarabaeus，两个去翅足炙烤）、大黄（一分，用纸包裹煨制）。研为细末，饭前调服。也可以加防风（Fangfeng, Saposhnikoviae Radix）、麦冬（Maidong, Ophiopogonis Radix），以去除心热。
治疗胎惊、满月内气盛发热、脐风撮口（Qi Feng Cuokou, Umbilical Tetanus with Mouth Contraction）、壮热。
辰砂膏（Chensha Gao, Cinnabar Ointment）
辰砂（三钱）、硼砂（Pengsha, Borax）、牙硝（Yaxiao, Natrii Sulfas，各钱半）、元明粉（Yuanmingfen, Natrii Sulfas Depuratus，二钱）、全蝎（Quanxie, Scorpio，真珠末/珍珠末 Zhenzhumo, Margarita，各一钱）、麝香（Shexiang, Moschus，一字）。研为末，和枣肉，用好绢包起来，自然形成膏状。每次取如豆子大小的量，治各种惊风，用金银花薄荷汤送下；潮热，用甘草汤送下；满月内婴儿，用乳汁调涂在奶头上，让婴儿吮吸下去。
宣风散（Xuan Feng San, Dispersing Wind Powder）
全蝎（二十一个，去头尾酒涂炙烤）、麝香（少许，另研）。每次取细末半字的量，用金银花或麦冬汤调服。
治疗断脐后外伤风湿，嘴唇青紫、口唇收缩、多啼哭不吃奶、口出白沫。
黑白饮（Hei Bai Yin, Black and White Drink）
黑牵牛（Heiqianniu, Pharbitidis Semen）、白牵牛（Baiqianniu, Pharbitidis Semen，均半生半炒）、生大黄（Sheng Dahuang, Rhei Radix et Rhizoma）、陈皮（Chenpi, Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium，去白）、槟榔（Binglang, Arecae Semen，各五钱）、炙甘草（三钱）、元明粉（二钱）。每次取末五分至一钱，空腹温蜜汤调服。此药新配最好，久放则疗效迟缓。
治疗脐风气实者，以及急惊壮热发搐（Ji Jing Zhuang Re Fa Chu, Acute Convulsion with High Fever）。
钱氏柏墨散（Qian Shi Bo Mo San, Qian's Cypress Bark and Soot Powder）
黄柏（Huangbai, Phellodendri Cortex）、釜下墨（Fuxiamu, Lampblack）、乱发灰（Luankuihui, Ash of Human Hair）等分。每次取少许末敷患处。
钱氏泻心汤（Qian Shi Xie Xin Tang, Qian's Draining Heart Decoction）
黄连（一两）。每次取末二分五分至一钱，临睡前温水调服。
此方泻心经实邪。实则泻其子（根据五行相生关系，心属火，肝属木，实则泻其子即泻肝，此处指通过泻心火来平衡，或指代具体的泻法原则）。
张涣金黄散（Zhang Huan Jin Huang San, Zhang Huan's Golden Yellow Powder）
黄连（二钱半）、胡粉（Hufen, Lead Carbonate）、龙骨（Longgu, Fossum Mammi，各一钱）。分别单独研磨，再混合研磨。每次取少许，敷在脐中，经常使用。
治疗脐疮不愈，风气传入经络，变为痫疾（Xian Ji, Epilepsy）。
朴消散（Pu Xiao San, Dissipating Powder）
大黄（五钱）、牡蛎（Muli, Ostreae Shell，五钱）、朴硝（Puxiao, Natrii Sulfas，二钱）。每次取末一钱或二钱。用田螺一枚，洗净浸泡一夜，取水调匀涂抹。
治疗脐突（Qi Tu, Umbilical Herniation），无论痛或不痛，以及感受湿热，阴囊肿胀。
木通散（Mu Tong San, Akebia Powder）
木通（五钱）、蓄（Lugu, Polygoni Avicularis Herba，五钱）、大黄（三钱）、甘草梢（Gancao Shao, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma 根梢部分，三钱）、赤苓（Chiling, Poria 赤色部分，三钱）、瞿麦（Qumai, Dianthi Herba，二钱半）、滑石（Huashi, Talcum，二钱半）、山栀（Shanzhi, Gardeniae Fructus，二钱半）、黄芩（Huangqin, Scutellariae Radix，二钱半）、车前子（Cheqianzi, Plantaginis Semen，二钱半）。加灯心三茎，或少许薄荷（Bohe, Menthae Haplocalyx Herba）。
钱氏泻青丸（Qian Shi Xie Qing Wan, Qian's Draining Green Pill）
当归（Danggui, Angelicae Sinensis Radix，焙）、龙胆（Longdan, Gentianae Radix，焙）、川芎（Chuanxiong, Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma）、山栀（Shanzhi, Gardeniae Fructus）、羌活（Qianghuo, Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix）、煨大黄（Wei Dahuang, Rhei Radix et Rhizoma 煨制）、防风（Fangfeng, Saposhnikoviae Radix）等分。蜜丸。竹叶汤送下。
丹溪金乌散（Danxi Jin Wu San, Danxi's Golden Crow Powder）
蜈蚣（Wugong, Scolopendra，半条酒浸炙烤）、川乌尖（Chuanwu Jian, Aconiti Radix Lateralis Preparata 尖端，三个）、麝香（Shexiang, Moschus，少许）。每次取末半字的量，金银花汤送下。
治疗脐风。又名定命散，又名麝香散。
五通膏（Wu Tong Gao, Five Passages Ointment）
生地（Shengdi, Rehmanniae Radix）、生姜（Shengjiang, Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens）、葱白（Congbai, Allii Fistulosi Bulbus）、莱菔子（Laifuzi, Raphani Semen）、田螺肉（Tianluorou, Viviparae Musculus）捣烂，涂在脐周。厚度如一指，抱住婴儿使其排气即可痊愈。
治疗脐风撮口。
六神散（Liu Shen San, Six Deities Powder）
茯苓（Fuling, Poria，二两）、扁豆（Biandou, Dolichoris Semen，二两）、人参（Renshen, Ginseng Radix）、白术（Baizhu, Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma）、山药（Shanyao, Dioscoreae Rhizoma，各一两）、炙甘草（七钱）。每次取末一钱，姜枣煎服。
治疗腹冷痛、夜啼。
汤氏钩藤散（Tang Shi Gouteng San, Tang's Uncaria Powder）
人参（五分）、犀角（Xijiao, Rhinocerotis Cornu，五分）、全蝎（Quanxie, Scorpio，二分）、天麻（Tianma, Gastrodiae Rhizoma，二分）、甘草（一分）、钩藤（Gouteng, Uncariae Ramulus cum Uncis，一钱）。又名钩藤饮。
千金龙胆汤（Qianjin Long Dan Tang, Thousand Gold Gentian Decoction）
煨大黄（二钱）、龙胆草（Longdancao, Gentianae Radix）、赤苓（Chiling, Poria 赤色部分）、甘草（Gancao, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma）、黄芩（Huangqin, Scutellariae Radix，各钱半）。
调气益黄散（Tiao Qi Yi Huang San, Regulating Qi and Benefiting Yellow Powder）
蜈蚣（一条酒炙）、蝎梢（Xieshao, Scorpio 尾部，四个）、僵蚕（Jiangcan, Bombyx Batryticatus，七个）、瞿麦（Qumai, Dianthi Herba，五分）。每次取末一字的量，吹入鼻中取嚏，啼哭可止。仍用薄荷汤调一字的量服用。
治疗噤口撮口脐风（Jin Kou Cuokou Qi Feng, Lockjaw Umbilical Tetanus）。
大青膏（Da Qing Gao, Great Blue Ointment）
天麻末（一分）、生白附子（Sheng Baifuzi, Typhonii Rhizoma 生品，钱半）、蝎尾（Xiewei, Scorpio 尾部，去毒生研末）、乌梢蛇肉（Wushaoshe Rou, Zaocys 肉，酒浸焙研各五分）、青黛（Qingdai, Indigo Naturalis，一钱）、朱砂末（Zhusha Mo, Cinnabaris 末）、天竺黄末（Tianzhuhuang Mo, Bambusae Respa，各三分）。蜜和成膏。每次取如皂荚子一半到整个大小的量。满月内的婴儿如粳米大小。同牛黄膏（Niuhuang Gao, Bovis Calculus Ointment）用薄荷汤化开一处服用。五岁以上同甘露散（Ganlu San, Sweet Dew Powder）服用。
惺惺散（Xingxing San, Awakening Powder）
茯苓（Fuling, Poria）、细辛（Xixin, Asari Radix et Rhizoma）、桔梗（Jiegeng, Platycodonis Radix）、花粉（Huafen, Trichosanthis Radix）、人参（Renshen, Ginseng Radix）、炙甘草（Zhi Gancao, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma 炙）、白术（Baizhu, Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma）、川芎（Chuanxiong, Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma）等分。每次取末一钱，加姜一片、薄荷三叶，同煎。这是汤氏的方子，细辛减半，其余等分。
此方祛除风热，以及伤寒时气疮疹发热。
独活汤（Du Huo Tang, Angelicae Pubescentis Decoction）
独活（Duhuo, Angelicae Pubescentis Radix）、羌活（Qianghuo, Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix，各二钱）、槟榔（Binglang, Arecae Semen）、天麻（Tianma, Gastrodiae Rhizoma）、麻黄（Mahuang, Ephedrae Herba，去节）、炙甘草（Zhi Gancao, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma 炙，各一钱）。共为细末。每次半钱，水煎。在里面加入南星末（Nanxing, Arisaematis Rhizoma），蜜调可贴囟门（Ximen, Fontanelle）。
治疗胎惊，发散风邪。
夺命散（Duoming San, Life-Rescuing Powder）
铜青（Tongqing, Verdigris）、朱砂（Zhusha, Cinnabaris，各二钱）、腻粉（Nifen, Calomel）、麝香（Shexiang, Moschus，少许）、蝎尾（十四个去针）。每次取末五分，薄荷汤调下。
此方治疗天吊（Tian Diao, Opisthotonos）、脐风、客忤（Ke Wu, Sudden Illness from External Evil）、卒死、撮口、鹅口、木舌（Mu She, Wooden Tongue）、喉痹（Hou Bi, Sore Throat）、腮风壅吐涎（Saifeng Yong Tu Xian, Mumps with Saliva Vomiting）。之后根据症状调理。
钱氏凉惊丸（Qian Shi Liang Jing Wan, Qian's Cooling Convulsion Pill）
龙胆草（Longdancao, Gentianae Radix）、防风（Fangfeng, Saposhnikoviae Radix）、青黛（Qingdai, Indigo Naturalis，各三钱）、钩藤钩（Goutenggou, Uncariae Ramulus cum Uncis，二钱）、黄连（Huanglian, Coptidis Rhizoma，五钱）、牛黄（Niuhuang, Bovis Calculus）、麝香（Shexiang, Moschus）、龙脑（Longnao, Borneolum Syntheticum，各一字）。面糊丸，如粟米大。每次三五丸，金银花汤送下。
演山截风丹（Yanshan Jiefeng Dan, Yanshan Wind-Cutting Pill）
全蝎（去毒炒）、僵蚕（Jiangcan, Bombyx Batryticatus，炒）、白附子（Baifuzi, Typhonii Rhizoma，炮）、南星（Nanxing, Arisaematis Rhizoma，炮）、天麻（Tianma, Gastrodiae Rhizoma，各二钱半）、朱砂（Zhusha, Cinnabaris，一钱）、蜈蚣（Wugong, Scolopendra，一条酒炙）、麝香（Shexiang, Moschus，一字）。蜜丸。每次三丸，金银花薄荷汤化开送下。
利惊丸（Li Jing Wan, Relieving Convulsion Pill）
轻粉（Qingfen, Calomel）、青黛（Qingdai, Indigo Naturalis，各一钱）、牵牛末（Qianniu Mo, Pharbitidis Semen 末，五钱）、天竺黄（Tianzhuhuang, Bambusae Respa，二钱）。蜜丸，如小豆大。薄荷汤化开送下。
此方治疗急惊，痰热潮搐。
全蝎散（Quanxie San, Scorpion Powder）
全蝎（二十四个，薄荷叶包炙烤）、僵蚕（五钱，炒去丝嘴，薄荷叶包炙烤）、南星（Nanxing, Arisaematis Rhizoma，一两）。用姜一两、鲜薄荷二两，同捣作饼，晒干。如果是急惊不用南星，加煨大黄一两。如果是慢惊（Man Jing, Chronic Convulsion）不用大黄，加制南星、炮白附子各三钱。防风、天麻、炙甘草、水飞朱砂、川芎各五钱。共为末。一岁儿服一字，二岁儿服半钱，薄荷汤送下。根据年龄大小加减。身热发搐，煎火府散（Huofu San, Fire Mansion Powder）调服；慢惊吐泻发搐，生姜汤送下；急惊搐，煎火府散加大黄汤送下。
火府散（Huofu San, Fire Mansion Powder）
生地（Shengdi, Rehmanniae Radix）、木通（Mu Tong, Akebiae Caulis，各一两）、黄芩（Huangqin, Scutellariae Radix）、炙甘草（Zhi Gancao, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma 炙，各半两）。每次咀嚼至二钱量，不拘时候，水煎温服。
治疗面赤切牙（Mian Chi Qie Ya, Red Face and Teeth Grinding）、唇口干燥、小便赤涩、一切虚实邪热。
直指银白散（Zhizhi Yinbai San, Directing Silver White Powder）
莲肉（Lianrou, Nelumbinis Semen）、扁豆（Biandou, Dolichoris Semen）、茯苓（Fuling, Poria，各一分）、人参（Renshen, Ginseng Radix）、白附子（Baifuzi, Typhonii Rhizoma）、天麻（Tianma, Gastrodiae Rhizoma）、全蝎（Quanxie, Scorpio）、木香（Muxiang, Aucklandiae Radix）、藿香（Huoxiang, Pogostemonis Herba）、炙甘草（Zhi Gancao, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma 炙，各半分）、炒陈米（Chao Chenmi, Stir-fried Old Rice，三钱）。每次取末一钱，加姜一薄片、冬瓜子七粒同煎。另一版本加白术一分。
助胃驱风。呕吐导致慢惊候者通用。
地黄丸（Dihuang Wan, Rehmannia Pill）
生地（八两）、山萸（Shanyu, Corni Fructus）、山药（Shanyao, Dioscoreae Rhizoma，四两）、丹皮（Danpi, Moutan Cortex）、泽泻（Zexie, Alismatis Rhizoma）、茯苓（Fuling, Poria，各三两）。蜜丸。本方加防风、羌活各二两，名为加味地黄丸（Jiawei Dihuang Wan, Modified Rehmannia Pill）。
安神丸（Anshen Wan, Calming Spirit Pill）
麦冬（Maidong, Ophiopogonis Radix）、牙硝（Yaxiao, Natrii Sulfas）、茯苓（Fuling, Poria）、山药（Shanyao, Dioscoreae Rhizoma）、寒水石（Hanshuishi, Arsenici Sulfitum，各五钱）、朱砂（Zhusha, Cinnabaris，一两）、甘草（Gancao, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma，六钱）、冰片（Bingpian, Borneolum Syntheticum，一字）。炼蜜丸如鸡头大。每次半丸，砂糖调服。以上二方，均为甘寒泻火之剂，适用于血气虚而急惊者。
治疗小儿惊悸（Jing Ji, Palpitations due to Fright）、热渴心闷、脉实、面红颊赤、口燥。
曾氏百解散（Zengshi Baijie San, Zeng's Hundred-Resolution Powder）
葛根（Gegen, Puerariae Lobatae Radix，二两半）、升麻（Shengma, Cimicifugae Rhizoma）、赤芍（Chishao, Paeoniae Radix Rubra，各二两）、黄芩（Huangqin, Scutellariae Radix，一两）、麻黄（Mahuang, Ephedrae Herba，七钱半）、薄桂（Bo Gui, Cinnamomi Cortex 薄者，二钱半）、甘草（Gancao, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma，一两半）。每次粗末二钱，加姜葱煎，不拘时候温服。风热盛加薄荷。
此方主治和解百病，虚慢阴症不宜。
牛蒡汤（Niubang Tang, Arctii Decoction）
炒牛蒡子（Chao Niubangzi, Arctii Fructus 炒，三两）、大黄（Dahuang, Rhei Radix et Rhizoma，两半）、防风（Fangfeng, Saposhnikoviae Radix）、薄荷（Bohe, Menthae Haplocalyx Herba，各一两）、荆芥（Jingjie, Schizonepetae Spica，四两）、甘草（Gancao, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma，一两一钱半）。每次咀嚼至二钱量，不拘时候煎服。
主伤风，发热烦躁，鼻塞气喘，痰嗽惊啼，及诸疮，赤紫丹毒，咽喉肿痛。
半夏丸（Banxia Wan, Pinellia Pill）
生半夏（Sheng Banxia, Pinelliae Rhizoma 生，二两）、赤苓（Chiling, Poria 赤色部分）、枳壳（Zhiqiao, Aurantii Fructus，各一两）、风化朴硝（Fenghua Puxiao, Natrii Sulfas Efflorescens，二钱半）。姜汁糊丸。每次三十丸，食后姜汤送下。根据婴儿大小加至五十丸。
治疗痰症神效。若惊搦后风涎潮作，服之神效。
宽气饮（Kuanqi Yin, Widening Qi Drink）
枳壳（Zhiqiao, Aurantii Fructus）、枳实（Zhishi, Aurantii Fructus Immaturus，各一两）、人参（Renshen, Ginseng Radix）、炙甘草（Zhi Gancao, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma 炙，各五钱）。每次取末五分至一钱，汤调下。惊风作搐，姜汁调。热甚者，入宽热饮（Kuanre Yin, Widening Heat Drink），薄荷蜜汤调下。或麦冬汤。
主通利关节，胸膈痞结，消痰逐水，进食，及治蓄气而成搐，传变急慢惊风，气逆，精神昏倦。
五和汤（Wuhe Tang, Five-Harmony Decoction）
当归（Danggui, Angelicae Sinensis Radix）、赤苓（Chiling, Poria 赤色部分，各半两）、炙甘草（Zhi Gancao, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma 炙）、大黄（Dahuang, Rhei Radix et Rhizoma）、枳壳（Zhiqiao, Aurantii Fructus，各七钱半）。每次粗末二钱煎，不拘时候服。
此方主宣利脏腑积滞，调利荣卫（Rongwei, Ying and Wei Qi）。
茯神汤（Fushen Tang, Poria with Wood Decoction）
茯神（Fushen, Poria with Hostwood，一两）、人参（Renshen, Ginseng Radix）、当归（Danggui, Angelicae Sinensis Radix，各半两）、炙甘草（Zhi Gancao, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma 炙，二钱）。每次咀嚼至二钱煎。有热微烦躁加麦冬。
此方治疗心气不足，虚而惊悸，日常频哭，以及生下羸瘦多惊。宜母子同服。
郑氏比金丸（Zhengshi Bijin Wan, Zheng's Equal-Gold Pill）
轻粉（Qingfen, Calomel）、滑石（Huashi, Talcum，各钱半）、南星（Nanxing, Arisaematis Rhizoma，一钱二分）、青黛（Qingdai, Indigo Naturalis，五分）。糊丸，如小豆大。一岁二丸，薄荷汤送下。急惊头热、足冷面青、口噤痰多，加一丸，桃皮汤送下，名桃符丸（Taofu Wan）。去青黛，加蝎梢五分，名小青丸（Xiaoqing Wan）。
治疗急惊，壮热喘粗痰嗽，二便不利。
曾氏五苓散（Zengshi Wuling San, Zeng's Five-Ingredient Powder with Poria）
泽泻（Zexie, Alismatis Rhizoma，二两半）、茯苓（Fuling, Poria）、猪苓（Zhuling, Polypori Rhizoma）、白术（Baizhu, Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma，各一两半）、肉桂（Rougui, Cinnamomi Cortex，七钱半）。每一钱汤送下。
解伤寒温湿暑毒霍乱，分阴阳，理烦渴。
镇心丸（Zhenxin Wan, Settling Heart Pill）
甜硝（Tianxiao, Natrii Sulfas）、人参（Renshen, Ginseng Radix，各一两）、炙甘草（Zhi Gancao, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma 炙）、寒水石（Hanshuishi, Arsenici Sulfitum，各一两半）、山药（Shanyao, Dioscoreae Rhizoma）、茯苓（Fuling, Poria，各二两）、朱砂（Zhusha, Cinnabaris，一两）、冰片（Bingpian, Borneolum Syntheticum）、麝香（Shexiang, Moschus，各一钱）。蜜丸，如鸡头大。每次半丸，温水送下，至一二丸。
此方凉心经，治疗惊热痰盛，及痫病。
安神镇惊丸（Anshen Zhenjing Wan, Calming Spirit and Settling Convulsion Pill）
天竺黄（Tianzhuhuang, Bambusae Respa）、人参（Renshen, Ginseng Radix）、茯神（Fushen, Poria with Hostwood）、南星（Nanxing, Arisaematis Rhizoma，各五钱）、枣仁（Zaoren, Ziziphi Spinosae Semen）、麦冬（Maidong, Ophiopogonis Radix）、当归（Danggui, Angelicae Sinensis Radix）、生地（Shengdi, Rehmanniae Radix）、赤芍（Chishao, Paeoniae Radix Rubra，各三钱）、黄连（Huanglian, Coptidis Rhizoma）、薄荷（Bohe, Menthae Haplocalyx Herba）、木通（Mu Tong, Akebiae Caulis）、山栀（Shanzhi, Gardeniae Fructus）、朱砂（Zhusha, Cinnabaris）、西牛黄（Xi Niuhuang, Bovis Calculus）、龙骨（Longgu, Fossum Mammi，各二钱）、青黛（Qingdai, Indigo Naturalis，一钱）。蜜丸，如绿豆大。每次三五丸，根据婴儿大小加减，姜汤送下。
惊退后，安心神，养气血，和平预防之剂也。
栝蒌汤（Gualou Tang, Trichosanthes Decoction）
栝蒌（Gualou, Trichosanthis Fructus，二钱）、白甘遂末（Baigansui Mo, Kansui Radix 白色粉末，一钱）。
慢惊，脉有力，湿痰聚于胸中，风火蕴结者服。
青州白丸子（Qingzhou Bai Wanzi, Qingzhou White Pills）
半夏（Banxia, Pinelliae Rhizoma，七两）、南星（Nanxing, Arisaematis Rhizoma，三两）、白附子（Baifuzi, Typhonii Rhizoma，二两）、川乌（Chuanwu, Aconiti Radix Lateralis Preparata，五钱去皮脐）。四味皆用生者研细，以生绢袋盛，井水摆出。未出的，再以手揉。有渣再研，再摆令尽。瓷盆内连水日晒夜露，晓去旧水，另用井水搅，又晒露。如此法，春五日，夏三日，秋七日，冬十日。去水晒干如玉片，研细。糯米粥丸，绿豆大。每三五丸，薄荷汤送下。瘫风（Tan Feng, Paralysis due to Wind）酒送下，皆不拘时候。
此方治疗小儿惊风，大人诸风。
醒脾散（Xingpi San, Awakening Spleen Powder）
白术（Baizhu, Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma）、人参（Renshen, Ginseng Radix）、甘草（Gancao, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma）、全蝎（Quanxie, Scorpio）、橘红（Juhong, Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Rubrum）、茯苓（Fuling, Poria，各五钱）、半夏（Banxia, Pinelliae Rhizoma）、木香（Muxiang, Aucklandiae Radix，各一分）、白附子（Baifuzi, Typhonii Rhizoma，四个炮）、炮南星（Pao Nanxing, Arisaematis Rhizoma 炮制，二枚）、莲肉（Lianrou, Nelumbinis Semen，一钱）。每次取末一钱，加姜枣煎，渐服。若顿服，必吐。
此方昏困者宜之。
人参羌活散（Renshen Qianghuo San, Ginseng and Notopterygium Powder）

治疗初作急惊，散风邪，除风热，疹痘未发亦可。
郑氏驱风膏（Zhengshi Qufeng Gao, Zheng's Wind-Dispersing Ointment）
辰砂（Chensha, Cinnabaris）、蝎尾（Xiewei, Scorpio 尾部）、当归（Danggui, Angelicae Sinensis Radix）、山栀（Shanzhi, Gardeniae Fructus）、川芎（Chuanxiong, Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma）、龙胆草（Longdancao, Gentianae Radix）、羌活（Qianghuo, Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix）、防风（Fangfeng, Saposhnikoviae Radix）、大黄（Dahuang, Rhei Radix et Rhizoma）、甘草（Gancao, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma，各一钱）、麝香（Shexiang, Moschus，一字）。炼砂糖丸，如芡子大。三岁三丸，薄荷竹叶蜜汤化下。
治疗肝风筋脉拘急，面红目青眼上，惊搐胎风。

此方治疗感冒风寒，头痛发热，肩背拘急，恶心呕吐，腹痛膨胀，兼寒湿相搏，四肢拘急，冷气侵袭，腰足疼痛。
七宝散（Qibao San, Seven-Treasures Powder）

治疗风寒时气，头昏体热，咳嗽及脾胃肺不和，口腥，牙缝鲜血，兼调理诸病。

南星（Nanxing, Arisaematis Rhizoma，八九钱，重者一个）。掘地坑深尺许，用炭五斤烧通红，醋一碗洒坑中，即投南星，以火炭密盖，又用盆复时许取出，研为末。入琥珀（Hupo, Succinum）、全蝎（Quanxie, Scorpio，各一钱）。每次二字，生姜防风汤送下。
治疗慢惊，驱风豁痰。

金液丹（Jinye Dan, Golden Fluid Pill）
The *Shenghui Fang* (Prescriptions of the Holy Grace) states: The so-called "Five-Color Dan" in children arises because the Dan toxin changes color unpredictably when it erupts. It may appear green, yellow, red, white, or black. All are caused by the heat of wind-toxin, which fluctuates in intensity, sometimes cold and sometimes hot, thus manifesting as Five-Color Dan. It is appropriate to use Xiao Chai Hu Tang (Minor Bupleurum Decoction), prepared and taken according to standard methods. Applying the dregs of the decoction to the Dan lesions is also beneficial.
Wang Kentang stated: In newborn infants, latent fetal heat stored within the body will first manifest externally before a Dan eruption occurs. For example, an infant in swaddling clothes may suddenly develop thick purulent eye discharge without apparent cause; this indicates that a Dan toxin is about to erupt. If accompanied by slight panting and rapid breathing, it signifies that the toxic qi has become severe and is ascending to the lungs. Upon noticing these signs, one should immediately administer Long Nao Yin Zi (Camphor Drink) mixed with water, or use Isatidis Radix (Banlangen) and Rhinocerotis Cornu (Xijiao) to secretly dissipate the toxicity. If red patches have already appeared all over the body, apply Brassicae Chinensis Herba (Yuntaie) externally to curb its momentum, treating it sequentially based on the severity of the condition.
For any infant suffering from various Dan swellings, even if the pathogenic force is strong, one must absolutely avoid using drastic purgatives such as Rhei Radix et Rhizoma (Dahuang) and Natrii Sulfas (Mangxiao) to induce severe diarrhea, lest the toxin enter the interior through the deficiency created. Instead, only use herbs with neutral properties that resolve toxicity and support the interior. When a child's Dan erupts, if one anticipates its spread, it will likely extend to vulnerable areas such as the throat, neck, abdomen, heart region, yin organs, and sacrum. One can pre-apply medication to protect these areas. Additionally, one should use bian stone (stone lancet) to prick the leading edge of the spreading Dan to release a small amount of foul blood, thereby draining the toxin. For Dan toxins, consuming sea jellyfish and crucian carp is advisable, but in moderation.
Dao Chi San (Guide the Water Powder):
Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata (Sheng Di Huang), Akebiae Caulis (Mu Tong), and Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gan Cao) in equal parts. Add Bambusae Folium (Zhu Ye). Another version omits Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma and uses Scutellariae Radix (Huang Qin) instead.
This formula clears fire from the Interior Small Intestine.
Qian Shi Sheng Xi San (Qian's Raw Rhinoceros Horn Powder):
Rhinocerotis Cornu (Xijiao) (2 qian), Lycii Cortex (Diguopi), Paeoniae Radix Rubra (Chishao), Bupleuri Radix (Chaihu Gen), and Puerariae Lobatae Radix (Gegen) (each 1 liang), Zhi Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (5 qian). Take 1 qian of the powder per dose, decocted and taken orally.
This formula treats deficient heat in the Heart Meridian.
Si Sheng San (Four Sages Powder):
Junci Medulla (Dengxin), Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian), Fraxini Cortex (Qinpi), Equiseti Herba (Muzei), and Ziziphi Fructus (Zaozi) (each half liang). Chew to approximately 2 qian, decoct, and take orally.
It treats infants suffering from fetal heat-toxin or those who cannot open their eyes after birth.
Dihuang Gao (Rehmannia Ointment):
Curcumae Radix (Yujin), Gleditsiae Fructus (Saojia - boiled, dried, sliced, and roasted), and Bean Flour (Doufen) (each 5 qian), Zhi Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (1 fen), Natrii Sulfas Crystallizatus (Mayaxiao) (1 qian). Decoct with Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata juice and honey into an ointment, form into pills, and dissolve in the mouth. For infants, grind into a thick juice, apply with a goose feather inside the mouth.
Zhang Huan Baoming San (Zhang Huan's Life-Preserving Powder):
Alum (Baifan) and Cinnabaris (Zhusha) (each 2.5 qian), Natrii Sulfas Crystallizatus (Mayaxiao) (5 qian). Grind to an extremely fine powder. Take a dose equivalent to "one character" (approx. 0.5-1 g), mix with water, and apply to the tongue. First, clean the infant's tongue thoroughly.
It treats infantile fetal toxin causing thrush (E Kou Chuang).
Long Dan Tang (Gentian Decoction):
Gentianae Radix (Longdancao), Uncariae Ramulus cum Uncis (Gouteng), Bupleuri Radix (Chaihu), Scutellariae Radix (Huangqin), Platycodonis Radix (Jiegeng), Paeoniae Radix Rubra (Chishao), Poria (Fuling), and Zhi Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (each 5 qian), Scarabaeus (Chianglang) (two, wings and feet removed, roasted), Rhei Radix et Rhizoma (Dahuang) (1 fen, wrapped in paper and baked). Grind into a fine powder, mix with water, and take before meals. One may add Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng) and Ophiopogonis Radix (Maidong) to clear Heart heat.
It treats fetal fright, fever due to excess qi within the first month, umbilical tetanus with mouth contraction (Qi Feng Cuokou), and high fever.
Chensha Gao (Cinnabar Ointment):
Cinnabaris (Chensha) (3 qian), Borax (Pengsha), and Natrii Sulfas (Yaxiao) (each 1.5 qian), Natrii Sulfas Depuratus (Yuanmingfen) (2 qian), Scorpio (Quanxie), and Margarita (Zhenzhumo) (each 1 qian), Moschus (Shexiang) ("one character"). Grind into powder, mix with jujube flesh, wrap in fine silk to naturally form an ointment. Take a bean-sized amount for various convulsions, taken with金银花 (Honeysuckle) and Bohe (Mint) decoction; for tidal fever, take with Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma decoction; for infants within the first month, mix with breast milk, apply to the nipple, and let the infant suck.
Xuan Feng San (Dispersing Wind Powder):
Scorpio (Quanxie) (21 pieces, head and tail removed, roasted with wine coating), Moschus (Shexiang) (a little, ground separately). Take half a "character" of the fine powder, mixed with金银花 (Honeysuckle) or Ophiopogonis Radix (Maidong) decoction.
It treats wind-dampness invading after umbilical cord cutting, presenting with blue lips, mouth contraction, excessive crying, refusal to nurse, and foaming at the mouth.
Hei Bai Yin (Black and White Drink):
Pharbitidis Semen (Heiqianniu) and Pharbitidis Semen (Baiqianniu) (both half raw, half stir-fried), Rhei Radix et Rhizoma (Sheng Dahuang), Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium (Chenpi - white pith removed), Arecae Semen (Binglang) (each 5 qian), Zhi Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (3 qian), Natrii Sulfas Depuratus (Yuanmingfen) (2 qian). Take 0.5 to 1 qian of powder, mixed with warm honey water on an empty stomach. This medicine is most effective when freshly prepared; efficacy diminishes if stored long-term.
It treats excess qi type umbilical tetanus and acute convulsions with high fever and spasms.
Qian Shi Bo Mo San (Qian's Cypress Bark and Soot Powder):
Phellodendri Cortex (Huangbai), Lampblack (Fuxiamu), and Ash of Human Hair (Luankuihui) in equal parts. Apply a small amount of powder topically.
Qian Shi Xie Xin Tang (Qian's Draining Heart Decoction):
Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian) (1 liang). Take 0.25 to 1 qian of powder, mixed with warm water before sleep.
This formula drains excess pathogenic factors from the Heart. According to the principle "when there is excess, drain its child," it addresses Heart fire.
Zhang Huan Jin Huang San (Zhang Huan's Golden Yellow Powder):
Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian) (2.5 qian), Lead Carbonate (Hufen), and Fossum Mammi (Longgu) (each 1 qian). Grind each separately, then mix and grind together. Apply a small amount to the umbilicus frequently.
It treats non-healing umbilical ulcers where wind-pathogen transmits to the meridians, transforming into epilepsy (Xian Ji).
Pu Xiao San (Dissipating Powder):
Rhei Radix et Rhizoma (Dahuang) and Ostreae Shell (Muli) (each 5 qian), Natrii Sulfas (Puxiao) (2 qian). Take 1 or 2 qian of powder. Soak one field snail (Vivipara) overnight, wash clean, and use the water to mix the powder for topical application.
It treats umbilical herniation (Qi Tu), whether painful or not, as well as damp-heat infection causing scrotal swelling.
Mu Tong San (Akebia Powder):
Akebiae Caulis (Mu Tong) and Polygoni Avicularis Herba (Lugu) (each 5 qian), Rhei Radix et Rhizoma (Dahuang), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma root tip (Gancao Shao), and Poria (Chiling) (each 3 qian), Dianthi Herba (Qumai), Talcum (Huashi), Gardeniae Fructus (Shanzhi), Scutellariae Radix (Huangqin), and Plantaginis Semen (Cheqianzi) (each 2.5 qian). Qian Shi Xie Qing Wan (Qian's Draining Green Pill):
Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui - roasted), Gentianae Radix (Longdan - roasted), Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong), Gardeniae Fructus (Shanzhi), Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix (Qianghuo), Rhei Radix et Rhizoma (Wei Dahuang - baked), and Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng) in equal parts. Form into honey pills. Take with Bambusae Folium (Zhu Ye) decoction.
Danxi Jin Wu San (Danxi's Golden Crow Powder):
Scolopendra (Wugong) (half a piece, soaked in wine and roasted), Aconiti Radix Lateralis Preparata tip (Chuanwu Jian) (three pieces), Moschus (Shexiang) (a little). Take half a "character" of powder, taken with金银花 (Honeysuckle) decoction.
It treats umbilical tetanus. Also known as Dingming San or Shexiang San.
Wu Tong Gao (Five Passages Ointment):
Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata (Shengdi), Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens (Shengjiang), Allii Fistulosi Bulbus (Congbai), Raphani Semen (Laifuzi), and Viviparae Musculus (Tianluorou). Mash and apply around the umbilicus to a thickness of one finger. Hold the infant to allow gas passage, and they will recover.
It treats umbilical tetanus with mouth contraction.
Liu Shen San (Six Deities Powder):
Poria (Fuling) and Dolichoris Semen (Biandou) (each 2 liang), Ginseng Radix (Renshen), Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma (Baizhu), and Dioscoreae Rhizoma (Shanyao) (each 1 liang), Zhi Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (7 qian). Take 1 qian of powder, decoct with ginger and jujube.
It treats abdominal cold pain and night crying.
Tang Shi Gouteng San (Tang's Uncaria Powder):

Qianjin Long Dan Tang (Thousand Gold Gentian Decoction):

Tiao Qi Yi Huang San (Regulating Qi and Benefiting Yellow Powder):
Scolopendra (Wugong) (one piece, wine-roasted), Scorpio tail (Xieshao) (four), Bombyx Batryticatus (Jiangcan) (seven), Dianthi Herba (Qumai) (5 fen). Take one "character" of powder, insufflated into the nose to induce sneezing, which stops crying. Follow with one "character" taken with Menthae Haplocalyx Herba (Bohe) decoction.
It treats lockjaw umbilical tetanus (Jin Kou Cuokou Qi Feng).
Da Qing Gao (Great Blue Ointment):
Gastrodiae Rhizoma powder (Tianma Mo) (1 fen), Typhonii Rhizoma (Sheng Baifuzi - raw) (1.5 qian), Scorpio tail (Xiewei - raw, ground, venom removed), Zaocys meat (Wushaoshe Rou - wine-soaked, roasted, ground) (each 5 fen), Indigo Naturalis (Qingdai) (1 qian), Cinnabaris powder (Zhusha Mo), and Bambusae Respa powder (Tianzhuhuang Mo) (each 3 fen). Mix with honey to form an ointment. Take an amount ranging from half to one size of a soap pod. For infants within the first month, the size of a rice grain. Take together with Bovis Calculus Ointment (Niuhuang Gao), dissolved in Mint decoction. For children over five years old, take with Ganlu San (Sweet Dew Powder).
Xingxing San (Awakening Powder):
Poria (Fuling), Asari Radix et Rhizoma (Xixin), Platycodonis Radix (Jiegeng), Trichosanthis Radix (Huafen), Ginseng Radix (Renshen), Zhi Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Zhi Gancao), Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma (Baizhu), and Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong) in equal parts. Take 1 qian of powder, add one slice of ginger and three leaves of Mint (Bohe), and decoct together. This is Tang's prescription; reduce Xixin by half, keep others equal.
This formula dispels wind-heat and treats fever associated with cold damage, seasonal qi, and skin eruptions/rashes.
Du Huo Tang (Angelicae Pubescentis Decoction):
Angelicae Pubescentis Radix (Duhuo) and Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix (Qianghuo) (each 2 qian), Arecae Semen (Binglang), Gastrodiae Rhizoma (Tianma), Ephedrae Herba (Mahuang - nodes removed), and Zhi Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Zhi Gancao) (each 1 qian). Grind into fine powder. Take half a qian, decoct in water. Arisaematis Rhizoma (Nanxing) powder can be added and mixed with honey for application to the fontanelle (Ximen).
It treats fetal fright and disperses wind pathogens.
Duoming San (Life-Rescuing Powder):
Verdigris (Tongqing) and Cinnabaris (Zhusha) (each 2 qian), Calomel (Nifen), Moschus (Shexiang) (a little), Scorpio tail (Xiewei) (14 pieces, needles removed). Take 5 fen of powder, taken with Mint (Bohe) decoction.
This formula treats opisthotonos (Tian Diao), umbilical tetanus, sudden illness from external evil (Ke Wu), sudden death, lockjaw, thrush, wooden tongue (Mu She), sore throat (Hou Bi), mumps with saliva vomiting (Saifeng Yong Tu Xian). Subsequent treatment should be adjusted based on symptoms.
Qian Shi Liang Jing Wan (Qian's Cooling Convulsion Pill):
Gentianae Radix (Longdancao), Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng), and Indigo Naturalis (Qingdai) (each 3 qian), Uncariae Ramulus cum Uncis (Goutenggou) (2 qian), Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian) (5 qian), Bovis Calculus (Niuhuang), Moschus (Shexiang), and Borneolum Syntheticum (Longnao) (each "one character"). Yanshan Jiefeng Dan (Yanshan Wind-Cutting Pill):
Scorpio (Quanxie - detoxified and stir-fried), Bombyx Batryticatus (Jiangcan - stir-fried), Typhonii Rhizoma (Baifuzi - processed), Arisaematis Rhizoma (Nanxing - processed), and Gastrodiae Rhizoma (Tianma) (each 2.5 qian), Cinnabaris (Zhusha) (1 qian), Scolopendra (Wugong) (one piece, wine-roasted), Moschus (Shexiang) ("one character"). Form honey pills. Take three pills, dissolved in金银花 (Honeysuckle) and Mint decoction.
Li Jing Wan (Relieving Convulsion Pill):
Calomel (Qingfen) and Indigo Naturalis (Qingdai) (each 1 qian), Pharbitidis Semen powder (Qianniu Mo) (5 qian), Bambusae Respa (Tianzhuhuang) (2 qian). Form honey pills, size of small beans. Dissolve in Mint (Bohe) decoction before taking.
This formula treats acute convulsions with phlegm-heat and spasms.
Quanxie San (Scorpion Powder):
Scorpio (Quanxie) (24 pieces, roasted wrapped in Mint leaves), Bombyx Batryticatus (Jiangcan) (5 qian, stir-fried, silk tips removed, roasted wrapped in Mint leaves), Arisaematis Rhizoma (Nanxing) (1 liang). Use 1 liang of ginger and 2 liang of fresh Mint, mash together into cakes, and dry in the sun. For acute convulsions, omit Nanxing and add Rhei Radix et Rhizoma (Wei Dahuang - baked) (1 liang). For chronic convulsions (Man Jing), omit Dahuang and add processed Nanxing and processed Typhonii Rhizoma (Pao Baifuzi) (each 3 qian). Add Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng), Gastrodiae Rhizoma (Tianma), Zhi Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Zhi Gancao), water-flown Cinnabaris (Shuifei Zhusha), and Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong) (each 5 qian). Grind into powder. One-year-olds take "one character"; two-year-olds take half a qian, taken with Mint decoction. Adjust dosage based on age and size. For fever with spasms, mix with Huofu San decoction; for chronic convulsions with vomiting/diarrhea and spasms, take with Ginger decoction; for acute convulsions, take with Huofu San plus Rhei Radix et Rhizoma decoction.
Huofu San (Fire Mansion Powder):
Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata (Shengdi) and Akebiae Caulis (Mu Tong) (each 1 liang), Scutellariae Radix (Huangqin), and Zhi Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Zhi Gancao) (each half liang). Chew to 2 qian, decoct in water, and take warm at any time.
It treats red face with teeth grinding, dry lips and mouth, dark and scanty urination, and all types of excess or deficient pathogenic heat.
Zhizhi Yinbai San (Directing Silver White Powder):
Nelumbinis Semen (Lianrou), Dolichoris Semen (Biandou), and Poria (Fuling) (each 1 fen), Ginseng Radix (Renshen), Typhonii Rhizoma (Baifuzi), Gastrodiae Rhizoma (Tianma), Scorpio (Quanxie), Aucklandiae Radix (Muxiang), Pogostemonis Herba (Huoxiang), Zhi Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Zhi Gancao) (each half fen), Stir-fried Old Rice (Chao Chenmi) (3 qian). Take 1 qian of powder, add one thin slice of ginger and seven winter melon seeds, and decoct together. Another version adds Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma (Baizhu) (1 fen).
It strengthens the stomach, dispels wind, and is generally used for vomiting leading to chronic convulsion patterns.
Dihuang Wan (Rehmannia Pill):
Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata (Shengdi) (8 liang), Corni Fructus (Shanyu), and Dioscoreae Rhizoma (Shanyao) (4 liang), Moutan Cortex (Danpi), Alismatis Rhizoma (Zexie), and Poria (Fuling) (each 3 liang). Form honey pills. Adding Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng) and Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix (Qianghuo) (each 2 liang) to this formula creates Jiawei Dihuang Wan (Modified Rehmannia Pill).
Anshen Wan (Calming Spirit Pill):
Ophiopogonis Radix (Maidong), Natrii Sulfas (Yaxiao), Poria (Fuling), Dioscoreae Rhizoma (Shanyao), and Arsenici Sulfitum (Hanshuishi) (each 5 qian), Cinnabaris (Zhusha) (1 liang), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao) (6 qian), Borneolum Syntheticum (Bingpian) ("one character"). Form pills with refined honey, size of a chicken head. Take half a pill mixed with sugar water. The above two formulas are sweet-cold agents that drain fire, suitable for acute convulsions due to blood and qi deficiency.
It treats infantile palpitations due to fright, thirst with chest oppression, solid pulse, red face and cheeks, and dry mouth.
Zengshi Baijie San (Zeng's Hundred-Resolution Powder):
Puerariae Lobatae Radix (Gegen) (2.5 liang), Cimicifugae Rhizoma (Shengma), and Paeoniae Radix Rubra (Chishao) (each 2 liang), Scutellariae Radix (Huangqin) (1 liang), Ephedrae Herba (Mahuang) (7.5 qian), Cinnamomi Cortex (Bo Gui - thin bark) (2.5 qian), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao) (1.5 liang). Take 2 qian of coarse powder, add ginger and scallion, decoct, and take warm at any time. Add Mint (Bohe) if wind-heat is severe.
This formula harmonizes and resolves hundred diseases; it is not suitable for deficient, slow, yin-pattern conditions.
Niubang Tang (Arctii Decoction):
Stir-fried Arctii Fructus (Chao Niubangzi) (3 liang), Rhei Radix et Rhizoma (Dahuang) (1.5 liang), Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng), and Menthae Haplocalyx Herba (Bohe) (each 1 liang), Schizonepetae Spica (Jingjie) (4 liang), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao) (1.15 liang). Chew to 2 qian, decoct, and take at any time.
It treats wind-cold invasion, fever with irritability, nasal congestion, panting, cough with phlegm, fright-induced crying, various sores, red-purple Dan toxins, and sore/swollen throat.
Banxia Wan (Pinellia Pill):
Raw Pinelliae Rhizoma (Sheng Banxia) (2 liang), Poria (Chiling), and Aurantii Fructus (Zhiqiao) (each 1 liang), Effloresced Natrii Sulfas (Fenghua Puxiao) (2.5 qian). Form pills with ginger juice paste. Take 30 pills after meals with ginger water. Increase to 50 pills based on infant size.
Highly effective for phlegm disorders. Especially effective if administered after convulsions when wind-phlegm surges.
Kuanqi Yin (Widening Qi Drink):
Aurantii Fructus (Zhiqiao) and Aurantii Fructus Immaturus (Zhishi) (each 1 liang), Ginseng Radix (Renshen), and Zhi Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Zhi Gancao) (each 5 qian). Take 0.5 to 1 qian of powder, mixed with decoction. For convulsions with spasms, mix with ginger juice. For severe heat, add Kuanre Yin (Widening Heat Drink), taken with Mint honey water or Ophiopogonis Radix (Maidong) decoction.
It promotes joint mobility, resolves chest diaphragm stagnation, eliminates phlegm and drives out water, aids digestion, and treats spasms caused by qi accumulation, transforming into acute or chronic convulsions, rebellious qi, and mental fatigue.
Wuhe Tang (Five-Harmony Decoction):
Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui) and Poria (Chiling) (each half liang), Zhi Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Zhi Gancao), Rhei Radix et Rhizoma (Dahuang), and Aurantii Fructus (Zhiqiao) (each 7.5 qian). Take 2 qian of coarse powder, decoct, and take at any time.
This formula promotes the circulation of internal organs, resolves stagnation, and regulates Ying and Wei Qi.
Fushen Tang (Poria with Wood Decoction):
Poria with Hostwood (Fushen) (1 liang), Ginseng Radix (Renshen), and Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui) (each half liang), Zhi Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Zhi Gancao) (2 qian). Chew to 2 qian, decoct. Add Ophiopogonis Radix (Maidong) if there is heat with slight irritability.
It treats insufficient Heart qi, deficiency-induced palpitations and fright, frequent daily crying, and frailty with frequent fright after birth. Mother and infant should take it together.
Zhengshi Bijin Wan (Zheng's Equal-Gold Pill):
Calomel (Qingfen) and Talcum (Huashi) (each 1.5 qian), Arisaematis Rhizoma (Nanxing) (1.2 qian), Indigo Naturalis (Qingdai) (5 fen). Form pills with paste, size of small beans. Two pills for one-year-olds, taken with Mint decoction. For acute convulsions with hot head, cold feet, blue face, and lockjaw with phlegm, add one pill, taken with Peach Bark decoction; this is named Taofu Wan. Remove Indigo Naturalis and add Scorpio tail (Xieshao) (5 fen); this is named Xiaoqing Wan.
It treats acute convulsions with high fever, rough breathing, phlegm cough, and difficulty in urination and defecation.
Zengshi Wuling San (Zeng's Five-Ingredient Powder with Poria):
Alismatis Rhizoma (Zexie) (2.5 liang), Poria (Fuling), Polypori Rhizoma (Zhuling), and Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma (Baizhu) (each 1.5 liang), Cinnamomi Cortex (Rougui) (7.5 qian). Take 1 qian with decoction.
It resolves cold damage, warm-dampness, summer-heat toxin, and cholera; separates yin and yang; and relieves irritability and thirst.
Zhenxin Wan (Settling Heart Pill):
Natrii Sulfas (Tianxiao) and Ginseng Radix (Renshen) (each 1 liang), Zhi Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Zhi Gancao), Arsenici Sulfitum (Hanshuishi) (each 1.5 liang), Dioscoreae Rhizoma (Shanyao), and Poria (Fuling) (each 2 liang), Cinnabaris (Zhusha) (1 liang), Borneolum Syntheticum (Bingpian), and Moschus (Shexiang) (each 1 qian). Form honey pills, size of a chicken head. Take half a pill with warm water, up to 1-2 pills.
This formula cools the Heart Meridian, treats fright-heat with abundant phlegm, and epilepsy.
Anshen Zhenjing Wan (Calming Spirit and Settling Convulsion Pill):
Bambusae Respa (Tianzhuhuang), Ginseng Radix (Renshen), Poria with Hostwood (Fushen), and Arisaematis Rhizoma (Nanxing) (each 5 qian), Ziziphi Spinosae Semen (Zaoren), Ophiopogonis Radix (Maidong), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui), Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata (Shengdi), and Paeoniae Radix Rubra (Chishao) (each 3 qian), Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian), Menthae Haplocalyx Herba (Bohe), Akebiae Caulis (Mu Tong), Gardeniae Fructus (Shanzhi), Cinnabaris (Zhusha), Bovis Calculus (Xi Niuhuang), and Fossum Mammi (Longgu) (each 2 qian), Indigo Naturalis (Qingdai) (1 qian). Form honey pills, size of mung beans. Take 3-5 pills, adjust based on infant size, taken with Ginger decoction.
After convulsions subside, this formula calms the spirit, nourishes qi and blood, and serves as a mild preventive agent.
Gualou Tang (Trichosanthes Decoction):
Trichosanthis Fructus (Gualou) (2 qian), Kansui Radix white powder (Baigansui Mo) (1 qian).
For chronic convulsions with a strong pulse, where damp-phlegm accumulates in the chest and wind-fire is constrained.
Qingzhou Bai Wanzi (Qingzhou White Pills):
Pinelliae Rhizoma (Banxia) (7 liang), Arisaematis Rhizoma (Nanxing) (3 liang), Typhonii Rhizoma (Baifuzi) (2 liang), Aconiti Radix Lateralis Preparata (Chuanwu) (5 qian, peeled and navel removed). All four ingredients are used raw, ground finely, placed in a raw silk bag, and washed with well water until extracted. Remaining residue is kneaded by hand, re-ground, and re-washed until exhausted. The liquid is placed in a porcelain basin, exposed to sun during day and dew at night. Discard old water in the morning, add fresh well water, stir, and repeat exposure. Spring: 5 days; Summer: 3 days; Autumn: 7 days; Winter: 10 days. Dry the remaining solid material until jade-like, grind finely. Form pills with glutinous rice porridge, size of mung beans. Take 3-5 pills with Mint decoction. For paralysis due to wind, take with wine. Timing is flexible.
This formula treats infantile convulsions and various wind disorders in adults.
Xingpi San (Awakening Spleen Powder):
Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma (Baizhu), Ginseng Radix (Renshen), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao), Scorpio (Quanxie), Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Rubrum (Juhong), and Poria (Fuling) (each 5 qian), Pinelliae Rhizoma (Banxia), Aucklandiae Radix (Muxiang) (each 1 fen), Typhonii Rhizoma (Baifuzi) (4 pieces, processed), Processed Arisaematis Rhizoma (Pao Nanxing) (2 pieces), Nelumbinis Semen (Lianrou) (1 qian). Take 1 qian of powder, add ginger and jujube, decoct, and take gradually. Taking it all at once will cause vomiting.
Suitable for patients with lethargy and confusion.
Renshen Qianghuo San (Ginseng and Notopterygium Powder):
Ginseng Radix (Renshen), Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix (Qianghuo), Angelicae Pubescentis Radix (Duhuo), Bupleuri Radix (Chaihu), Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong), Poria (Baifuling), and Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao) (each 1 liang), Peucedani Radix (Qianhu), Platycodonis Radix (Jiegeng), Gastrodiae Rhizoma (Tianma), and Lycii Cortex (Diguopi) (each 5 qian), Aurantii Fructus (Zhiqiao) (1.2 liang). Chew to 1 qian, add one slice of ginger, three leaves of Mint (Bohe), and half a jujube, decoct.
It treats early-stage acute convulsions, disperses wind pathogens, clears wind-heat, and can be used before rashes/pox erupt.
Zhengshi Qufeng Gao (Zheng's Wind-Dispersing Ointment):
Cinnabaris (Chensha), Scorpio tail (Xiewei), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui), Gardeniae Fructus (Shanzhi), Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong), Gentianae Radix (Longdancao), Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix (Qianghuo), Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng), Rhei Radix et Rhizoma (Dahuang), and Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao) (each 1 qian), Moschus (Shexiang) ("one character"). Refine sugar into pills, size of Euryale Seed. Three pills for three-year-olds, dissolved in Mint, Bamboo Leaf, and Honey decoction.
It treats Liver wind causing tendon and vessel stiffness, red face, blue eyes looking upward, fright convulsions, and fetal wind.
Chonghe Yin (Harmonizing Drink):
Atractylodis Rhizoma (Cangzhu) (1 liang), Ginseng Radix (Renshen), Peucedani Radix (Qianhu), Platycodonis Radix (Jiegeng) (5 qian), Aurantii Fructus (Zhiqiao), Ephedrae Herba (Mahuang), Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium (Chenpi) (each 3 qian), Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong), Angelicae Dahuricae Radix (Baizhi), Pinelliae Rhizoma (Banxia), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui), Cinnamomi Cortex (Bo Gui), Paeoniae Radix Alba (Baishaoyao), Poria (Chiling) (each 1.5 qian), Zingiberis Rhizoma (Ganjiang), Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex (Nongpo) (each 2 qian), Zhi Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Zhi Gancao) (7.5 qian). Take 2 qian of coarse powder, add two slices of ginger and one scallion, decoct, and take. For cold injury with nausea/vomiting, add processed ginger. For cold hernia, add Foeniculum Vulgare (Xiaohui) and Evodiae Fructus (Wuyu).
It treats cold damage from wind-cold, headache, fever, shoulder/back stiffness, nausea/vomiting, abdominal pain/bloating, cold-damp interaction, limb stiffness, cold qi invasion, and lower back/foot pain.
Qibao San (Seven-Treasures Powder):
Perillae Folium (Zisu) and Cyperi Rhizoma (Xiangfu) (each 3 liang), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao), Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium (Chenpi), Platycodonis Radix (Jiegeng) (each 2.5 qian), Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong), Angelicae Dahuricae Radix (Baizhi) (each 1 liang). Take 2 qian of coarse powder, add two slices of ginger, decoct. Add Pinelliae Rhizoma (Banxia) for phlegm cough. Add a little salt for fishy breath. This formula is neither too cold nor too drying, which is excellent.
It treats wind-cold seasonal qi, dizziness, body heat, cough, disharmony of Spleen/Stomach/Lungs, fishy breath, bleeding gums, and generally regulates various diseases.
Guzhen Tang (Securing Truth Decoction):
Ginseng Radix (Renshen), Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata (Fuzi), Poria (Fuling), Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma (Baizhu) (each 2.5 qian), Dioscoreae Rhizoma (Shanyao), Astragali Radix (Huangqi - inferred from context), Cinnamomi Cortex (Rougui), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao) (each 2 qian). Take 3 qian of coarse powder, add three slices of ginger and one jujube, decoct.
It treats post-vomiting/diarrhea/dysentery conditions with weak Stomach and slow Spleen, cold qi in limbs/nose/mouth, lethargy, and unconsciousness.
Jubao Dan (Gathering Treasures Pill):
Ginseng Radix (Renshen), Poria (Fuling), Succinum (Hupo), Gastrodiae Rhizoma (Tianma), Scorpio (Quanxie), Typhonii Rhizoma (Baifuzi), Bombyx Batryticatus (Jiangcan), Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng), Arisaematis Rhizoma cum Bile (Danning), Zaocys meat (Wusha Rou - wine-roasted) (each 1 qian), Cinnabaris (Zhusha) (5 fen), Moschus (Shexiang) (a little). Form honey pills, size of sesame seeds. Take two pills with Acorus Tatarinowii Rhizoma (Changpu) decoction. Specifically treats chronic convulsions.
Nanxing San (Arisaema Powder):
Arisaematis Rhizoma (Nanxing) (8-9 qian, or one large piece). Dig a pit about one chi deep, burn five jin of charcoal until red, pour one bowl of vinegar into the pit, immediately throw in the Arisaema, cover tightly with hot charcoal embers, and cover with a basin for a period. Remove, grind into powder. Add Succinum (Hupo) and Scorpio (Quanxie) (each 1 qian). Take two "characters", taken with Ginger and Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng) decoction.
It treats chronic convulsions, dispelling wind and resolving phlegm.
Renshen Su Yin (Ginseng and Perilla Drink):
Ginseng Radix (Renshen), Perillae Folium (Zisu), Peucedani Radix (Qianhu), Puerariae Lobatae Radix (Gegen), Pinelliae Rhizoma (Banxia), Poria (Chiling) (each 7.5 qian), Aurantii Fructus (Zhiqiao), Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium (Chenpi), Platycodonis Radix (Jiegeng), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao) (each 5 qian). Take 2 qian of coarse powder, add one slice of ginger, decoct. Another version removes Ginseng Radix and adds Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong).
It resolves convulsion-related irritability, phlegm-heat spasms, cough with rebellious qi, and Spleen/Stomach disharmony.
